yingers74 · 28/09/2005 14:00

for second timere, it is every two weeks! we are deemed low risk!

sweetkitty · 28/09/2005 14:00

I hadn't seen MW for 4 weeks before DD was born was supposed to go that Tuesday morning but she was born in the early hours, think it just depends on your area.

JABM even at 38 weeks you still got 2 to go patience girl, beanie still got little browning off to do in that oven!

Nemo1977 · 28/09/2005 14:01

and u know I will!

dramaqueen72 · 28/09/2005 14:59

cadmum and all wanted to let you know I moved my scan!!! I thought it would be a fuss and hassle -you know how they are about scans being like gold dust- but it was really easy. so I have my scan on 19th -the wednesday before the baby show and the 4d scan. brilliant idea of yours to move it, it never occurred to me(duh!) so I am relieved alot, proper full blown medical scan first, fun cute picture of baby scan after. thats better
rom, no nothing amazing in article, more a raise awareness kinda thing. altho they said how helpful the forums are at www.hyperemesis.org.
oh and
multi vitamins are essential as you are lacking in vitB1 usually if you have this severe m/s.
to eat more bananas, cereals and fish to increase vit B6
take 6c of homeopathic remedies such as sepia, pulsatilla, ipecacuanha.
and try inhaling a morning sickness relief stick by muti (£9.95) which is an aromatherapy thing for nausea.

not alot but maybe helpful right? I hope so for you.

Oh no, does this mean I need to get the bog roll out too! shall have to wait until dd is in bed, or she'll assume we have a new game on the go!

romilly · 28/09/2005 19:28

lol frizbe - visions of your entire household going around wearing bog roll belts now

munz - had to giggle at your comment on debbsy's thread about my TP measurement - maybe i was just thicker around the middle in the first place!

J&BM - go on, still waiting for your measurements...

DQ - thanks hun, much appreciated - wonder where you get that muti aromatherapy stick from? as for the foods, all very well if you can keep them down! or even face eating them in the first place! quite agree about awareness of it needing addressing - first off i think the name "morning sickness" is such a massive euphemism. if men suffered from it they would never have settled for that description! it would be termed something with much more gravitas, like "debilitus nauseum obnoxious"

romilly · 28/09/2005 19:29

DQ - forgot to say what great news it is about your scan being moved forward.

george32 · 28/09/2005 20:03

DQ, so pleased you have moved your scan. I hope everything is fine & you can go on & enjoy your 4D one properly.

Rom, found the Muti stick here

J&BM, yes, measure, I'm sure it will totally freak me out but at least I'll have a clue where my tummy is heading for.

munz · 28/09/2005 20:05

OK so i'm 7 squares! can we not do across the bump only?? 7 squares I ask u - althou I did have a bit of a tum b4 starting.

sk at 7 for u at 25 weeks, i'm only 17

DQ- good news about ur scan being bumped forward.

romilly · 28/09/2005 20:35

muchos gracias george shall order a.s.a.p.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 28/09/2005 20:36

munz · 28/09/2005 20:37

damn woman I wanted to leak that! he he only joking!

off to get me some cosying in front of the box with DH on the sofa!

yingers74 · 28/09/2005 21:44

Quick q to all second timers, is your patience level with your first pretty low? I seem to be losing my rag with my poor dd much quicker than normal although i do normally manage to check myself. I feel awful as she is quite well behaved. She was dithering before bed tonight, demanding to do a poo, I was tired and gave this long exasperated sigh/semi-scream of frustration, and she looked at me and said 'are you angry mummy?'. I felt so bad as she can't help it if she wants to do a poo!!! Is it this pregnancy or am I just a horrid monster of a mum!

Nemo1977 · 28/09/2005 21:50

yingers yes yes yes...I have been snappy with ds tonight and saying thins like adam just why do you insist on being into everything...answer is obvious he is a nearly 2 yr old toddler. So you have my sympathy as I have been grouchy at times and then other times hyper so poor mite doesnt know where he stands..lol

Cadmum · 28/09/2005 21:50

I am just shy of 8 full squares! Oh My! I really hope my squares are smaller if SK is really 7 at 25weeks...

Rom: did I read that you seven? After all that puking it hardly seems reasonable... Maybe our loo rool is cheaper or something. They don?t sell Andrex here so I won?t be able to do a proper comparison.

DQ: I am thrilled for you that your scan was easy to move... That will make your 4D one all about fun without any stress! I hope you don?t think I was a cow for giving you my opinion.

JandB: Sorry that you are still PG. At least you haven?t gone over yet.

George: Glad to hear that you were 8 squares too... You were very kind to Rom for finding those sticks... When I googled, I onnly found US sites...

Yingers: Hang in there. Can?t believe that you are so far along because in some ways it seems like yesterday that you were just pregnant... In Ontario (and in Alberta) , they see all mothers weekly from 36 weeks (mostly to watch blood pressure and baby?s activity level). I had an independent midwive in London and she did the same.

Munz: you can?t rip the loo rool apart and then glue it at the corners to take the measurement, OK?!?! 7 squares! Pah!

Hello Nemo! Hope you are well.

Cadmum · 28/09/2005 21:55

Yngers and Nemo: Posts crossed.

I win mummy from hell award. I burst into furious tears one night because DD and DS1 were still chatting quietly in their beds and I was desperate to get to sleep but didn?t want them to be the only ones awake in the house. DD (6) was so taken aback by my reaction that she started to sob and DS1 (8) just stared at me wide-eyes full of terror. I do try my best to be patient with them and they never deserve my tired fury.

Nemo1977 · 28/09/2005 21:57

aww cadmum it is hormones especially with you being alone so long..dh works long hours but for some reason tend to find times I am ratty is when he is around rather than at work..lol

Cadmum · 28/09/2005 22:00

I do know what you mean about being more likely to snap when DH is around. It is strange how that works.

Our children are more likely to be hurt or get lost when we are both here as well. I let my guard down a little (as I think I should be able to rely on him for the short period of time he spends here...) and he doesn?t really put his up!
