Hi all

My ds is 3.1 and has been interested in training for ages. We’ve had a few attempts but not very successfully.

Tried again today - bottoms off and naked from waist down then drink, then after twenty minutes prompted!

He popped on potty and did tiny wee. Huge applause from all then we went down loo, hands washed, chocolate button awarded.

Then five minutes later huge wee all over floor.

Is this normal? Without prompting he seems to have no sense of needing to go - but he’s getting old for potty training.

Any ideas - just persevere?

Still no accidents - he’s been bombproof though I’m waiting for a blip!! No Accidents at all this week and dry every night with no night nappy, bless him!

No more potty, insert seat only and happy to perch on adult loos when needed as out and about.

Hurray! He's got the idea. Good lad! Well done you too.

Thank you gussy!

Weirdly he still hasn’t had any accidents - he is now completely dry in underpants and managed a just under three hour car journey without a stop. No potty any more - only toilet seat insert.

Hasn’t had any night time accidents either since the night nappy came off about a week ago, so I think he’s now conclusively both day and night dry.

Probably the last time I’ll post here but thank you so so much to all of you for the amazing support and advice Flowers

So pleased with the outcome for you! And well done DS. Day and night time is such a good result!

Well done Once. Sounds like it's been very successful for you both!
We're doing ok at this end, one or two small accidents but generally pretty good.
