Well done dizzy, cakes away! If only they were winging their way towards the Midlands.

Happy birthday loti, I trust you are making it a good one with lots of sun, sea and sand

crisp thanks for the duvet tip. We've been wondering when to move DS into a bed as he's starting to look too big and grown up to be in a cot (where did my baby go?), but probably not going to do anything till after the wedding as that will be plenty of excitement for one small boy.

The spider fear continues...he was very unsure about being in the bathroom this morning. Personally I would have loved not to be there either as he had the done the most unbelievably stinky poo Seriously eye-watering. So bad that his pyjama trousers still smelled of it when I put them in the wash an hour later

crispy are you going away?

oops surely you mean dd2 is 6 days old . How can time go so quickly?!?!?!?!

I second the suggestion for TS to dust off the birthday list , go on Ts, you know you want to

cyteen I agree, dizzy's cakes should come via E Mids for crucial quality control checks!

and miamla you've got years yet til that baby arrives, can't you see how slowly time is going, what with miniestoops being only 6 days old....

Report
MrsMiamla · 09/07/2010 14:42

ah ha, silly me, i read it that she was 6 weeks not 6 days!

i realised earlier that i am in fact more organised than i thought because some of the fabric i bought yesterday is for a new wrap for her. so you see, we're ready...honest!

now get back to your studying

oooh and look what i just found.... (i've just put first initial for the DCs and some of our names are wrong but it means we can get started on our virtual birthday cake making!)

Miamla - what colour wrap are you making? Are you using the same moses basket as T or are you redoing it to match her room? I assume her room is painted and decorated with co-ordinating curtains, bedding and pictures - all handmade by you of course

Report
MrsMiamla · 09/07/2010 16:29

oops you just made me really laugh!!! of course her room is all decorated!! She also has a full wardrobe of little homemade dresses with matching knickers

As for the wrap, its a gorgeous eclectic red and white swirly pattern. It does remind me of something, not sure what though! I think someone on here had curtains with a similar pattern. Very bold flowers/leaves on it as well. Perhaps i should just post a picture on fb!

oh and well done sorting out the list, it looks alot prettier now

I'm a twit! I've just realised what the fabric reminds me of...its a very similar design to the curtains in my bedroom Tis ok, i'm going back outside now to sit in the paddling pool again

Helloooo, long time no see! DH came back from work trip this avo, curry already eaten, laptop lovingly restored to its throne, just waiting for kids to go to bed...

Will try and catch up this weekend, hope you're all doing all right.

DS1's been very depressed this week, v down on himself, saying he's the worstest boy in the world and should kill himself . Made me feel a) crap because DD was like that last summer but b) not quite so [despairing because DD was like that and is now positively radiant at the thought of her new school and teacher. My DSis says her son once got a knife from the kitchen at a v young age saying he wanted to die and he is now a delightful 12yr old.
Anyhoo, DS1's teacher has been brilliant and we've both been working hard on him, think he'd decided that if he was the bestest boy in class 2 he'd get to stay with her. Fingers crossed his new teacher is as phenomenal as her.

Have made 2 knitted roses this week which are dead easy and look, if I say so myself, brilliant. I have visions of a fascinator or headband. A less likely (but still pretty) vision I also have is of a 3D quilted window-view picture with a ribbon trellis and knitted flowers and vines.

Ooh wine o clock apparently! I somebody trying to get me drunk?

Report
CaptainCaveman · 09/07/2010 18:43

Need to shower as going out on the piss razzle with dh and friends and I smell like a hobo, with hair to match.
We were telling ds1 that when we get in from the pub we are always drunk and roll around the floor being drunken idiots. He believes us .

Evening all

Prince returned to school, bags all packed I think, fridge cleared, freezer had ice chipped out defrosted and toe nails painted. Anything i have forgotten? . Off in the morning to visit a friend and have some lunch then off to my parents for a minibreak before France on Mon . It is 36 degrees there today, wish i could be there. Set fair for mid 20's while we are there so i shouldn't complain

Spoke to the mortgage people and thankfully it completed yesterday, 24hrs to spare . Oh and the garage have ordered some Isofix fittings and are going to install them.

cece i believe you about rolling round the floor . Hope you have a good night

dizz how many sold?

QoD good luck for calm discussion with DP this weekend. It does just sound like you see things slightly differently (ie he thinks he is providing adequately, but you feel bad for spending 'his' money, not knowing how much there is?), so i am sure you will get to the same page

La, la, la, la

Report
poppysocks · 09/07/2010 22:43

Well I can confirm one box sold and currently sitting in my fridge. Shelf in shop looking depleted too . AND when I took them up to pay for them the lady behind the counter commented on their beauty. Clearly finding it hard resist them but they are SO beautiful that I can't bring myself to destroy them so they're being saved for a lunch with friends on Sunday.

Whoever it was wondering about surprise twins... My Godfather's wife had just delivered her DD when contractions returned. Quick examination and 20 minutes of further pushing and bonus DD born . No warnings, inklings. Nothing. She is gloriously dappy though and it was the 1970s .

Bon voyage crispy! Most .
