New thread for us to chat about our little jekyll & hydes...

Danny is currently stood next to me rearranging my DVD collection - I will be doing a work out to charlie & lola tonight apparently, while DS1 will be watching Billy Blanks Taebo with his pre-bedtime cup of milk and DH's history docu is hiding out with Diego in the city of lost toys...

mos That's my kind of lunch
Glad you had a nice time

mumoverseas · 11/07/2010 09:26

Those bitches/vipers in AIBU are being mean to me Those awful Brighton girls put me up to it and now I'm being bullied!

SilveryMoon · 11/07/2010 09:28

Is this the 'I want to bring my house-boy to the UK with me' thread?
Lol I saw it earlier, read a few posts, but was in bed on the blackberry so not easy to read the whole thing and post myself.

mumoverseas · 11/07/2010 09:33

Yes, thats the one. Those mean Brighton girls insisted I post that on AIBU. I'm 99% sure that had I posted in chat, the replies would be different!
Defend me SM, I'm not a nasty racist or a snob

SilveryMoon · 11/07/2010 09:38

I have defended you sweets! I have put a post on there saying how kind and thoughtful you are and he is lucky to work with you and not another family who may be less appreciative

mumoverseas · 11/07/2010 09:46

thank you dear x

littlesez · 11/07/2010 19:56

fucking hell MOS what a thread! I got upto page 5 and got bored of reading you having to repeat yourself a thousand times, not sure what went on as I cant face 22 pages! I dont really know what to say really, ill try and read a bit more x

dinkystinky · 11/07/2010 21:36

Evening all. Have had a bit of a hectic weekend so not much chance to MN - MrsY no am not dinkytinky - did do a shout out to her asking to change her name ages ago but she either didnt see it or chose to ignore it. Is really annoying as quite a few other posters have got the two of us confused as her name is unacceptably similar to mine. Ho hum.

MoS - totally missed your thread and cant see it in AIBU now so am guessing it degenerated into the usual bitchfest. Really hope you're ok and dont take what the nutjobs in AIBU said to heart. FWIW, everyone would love to have someone to help them with domestic drudgery - bet lots of the comments you got which were pulling your OP apart were just motivated by jealousy. Sending you hugs incase you're feeling abit battered by it all.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend - cooler weather coming next week and cant wait as Danny is waking up tonnes and really early due to the heat. Ugh.

SilveryMoon · 12/07/2010 08:05

The thread got removed then? Good good.
mos you ok? We all love you and know what a fab person you are xxx

I have been bitten by some kind of insect and am having quite a bad reaction to it. My whole arm is really swollen, I'm popping piriton like tic-tacs and the docs told me to keep taking ibuprfen and paracetamol. They also gave me a sling to use to try to keep the arm rested. It really really really hurts.
I didn't get much sleep last night because of it, feel completely knackered and on top of looking after my 2 boys today, I am also supposed to be having another 2 this morning! Hopefully that'll take my mind off it all.
littlesez Hope Izzy's feeling a bit better today?

dinkystinky · 12/07/2010 09:18

Oh no SM - that sounds miserable. Hope the antihistamines and painkillers work their magic soon for you. MIL has had similar insect bite reactions on her legs and its horrible. Hope your day looking after 4 boys isnt too trying.

Calico1 · 12/07/2010 11:36

MOS read a bit of your thread! - sounds like the sun had got to most of the posters, I think a lot of them had lost the plot completely....don't worry about it, but it was a bit naughty of your Brighton mums to put you up to it - they must have guessed you'd be in for a pasting!

SM ouch - same thing happens to my mum when she gets bitten by a mozzie, it's nasty but should go down in a day or two. Hope the boys are good for you today.

Haven't managed to catch up with the last week's posts so hope everyone is ok? Don't know how you all manage to post all the time - you must have extremely well behaved children who play nicely whilst you type . As soon as I get the laptop out Lilian comes over to press buttons and DS usually thinks I am not watching what he is up to and starts to wreck the place - ho hum.

So glad it is a bit cooler today - Lilian's sleep has been rubbish in the heat.

littlesez · 12/07/2010 11:41

Hey dinky, hope your ok and work stuff has calmed down xxx

SM thanks for asking Izzy is just not herself she has refused food for 3 days now and is fussing at the breast too the doc said a fungal rash, weird really I do think heat rash but wtf is going on with her appetite I dont know

hope those &#65 345;nti histimin es do the tr&#65 353;ck. ffs! wha t is going o&#65 358; with my key board this c&#65 359;mputer is sh ite!

littlesez · 12/07/2010 11:45

WTF? this computer has a mind of its own seriously! sorry about that post shite stooopid computer

SM I hope the anti histimines have kicked in for you sounds nasty

SilveryMoon · 12/07/2010 12:21

littlesez What is a fungal rash? Never heard of that! Fungal meaning fungus? So have they put her on meds or is it a viral rash?
Viral rash looks similar to prickly heat.
Is she teething? That's normally always an appetite killer.
try not to worry about it, I know lots of children not eating much atm because of the heat.
She will not allow herself to starve, her relationship with food is far too simple atm for that.
I do hope she is back to her old self soon.

Do you think she'd like ice-lollies?
175g of strawberries crushed as smooth as you can with a fork. Add 200g tub or natural yogurt and 2 tablespoons of honey. Put into lolly molds, in the freezer overnight and are yummy the next day.
I let these 2 roll theirs in chocolate strands (the cake decorating stuff).
It might help to cool her down and may also help sore gums if she is teething.

pain killers and antihistamines not working very well. It's not getting any bigger so i will wait to see what it's like tomorrow.

the children were ok, we went to playgroup so i had plenty of help. The other 2 have gone home now so I am going to try to get us all in bed for a bit in a min.

MrsY · 12/07/2010 15:09

Hey mos sorry to hear about the AIBU stuff - something about that board seems to bring out the bitch in people. I saw something on your FB page about it, did one of your Brighton friends tell another MNer what you were saying? I still have a draft about signing classes to send you via FB. Will try and send it tonight!

Hope you manage to get some rest, sm, don't wait too long. Have you got any antihistamine cream to put on?

littlesez is that a fungal infection? like aural thrush? if so you will need to treat yourself as well as her. M has been off her food too, this heat has really bothered her. As sm says, she won't allow herself to starve. And at this age, food consumption is best looked at over a longer period, like a week. As long as she is drinking enough she will be fine. Starwberries, cucumber, melon etc all very good at soothing gums and keeping her hydrated. If she is teething, Ashton and Parsons teething sachets are fab, they are homeopathic and seem to address all side-effects of teething, including the pain.

dinkystinky · 12/07/2010 16:25

Oh LittleSez, poor Izzy, she sounds miserable poor love. Am guessing that this heat isnt helping her fungal infection much at all You've had loads of good advice on keeping her fluids up and great food for teething - am hoping she feels alot better soon.

Work has calmed down for a bit but I foresee it kicking off again in a couple of weeks time. Ho hum.

Hi everyone.

i have some very sad news
mos will not be posting here anymore. There are a few people from the AIBU thread stalking her all through this site and fb and she doesn't want to put any of our privacy at risk so will not be coming on anymore.

If any of you nasty bitches from that thread are here lurking, you are bang out of order for following her aorund like that, our thread will suffer for not having her here.
i do hope you are all proud of yourselves.
And I will also say grow up and get a fucking life. It is not hard to turn a blind eye to things on here that you do not like.

fab febbers sorry for the rant there, but I cannot believe that people are prepared to go to such lengths because she used a phrase that is not used in our society! Fucking shocking.

dinkystinky · 12/07/2010 17:03

That's rubbish. MoS - if you're reading this and and feeling up to posting again at some point, can I suggest you name change and just post under a new pseudonym (you can be dinkyinky if you like ) - we'll miss you and hope you come back at some point.

OP posts:
SilveryMoon · 12/07/2010 18:06

Also, mos asked me to tell you all that she has had her personal e-mail address deleted too because she posted it here the other day for MrsY
MrsY I'm sure she will contact you about that business plan through another method.

I have told her our private fb page might be the best place to go as completely confidential.

katieblirdsnest · 12/07/2010 21:08

oh god, how awful.
mos please keep in touch with some of us if you can and maybe as dinky suggests you can come back in a new guise.
i've no idea what can have caused this and probably don't want to know.

however i do know you won't have deleted email etc unless you were very concerned.

hey ho, you've been through far worse and are a strong lady so you'll be fine when you've shaken off this nastiness.

Calico1 · 12/07/2010 22:01

MOS I can't believe it - what a bunch of brainless tossers with nothing else to do with their lives than harass you

Hope you can get back on here incognito the very near future.... big hugs xx

SilveryMoon · 13/07/2010 08:59

Morning.
Hope everyone is ok.
My arm is alot better today, still a bit swollen but nothing like it was and it no longer hurts/aches.

Guess what dp spent the evening doing last night?
Going through all my cook books and magazines looking for something for him to make for our date-night dinner tomorrow! How good is that?
He's also being a bit more thoughtful and has been asking me how my arm is feeling, which he wouldn't have done last week.
These are huge steps!

SweetTalkinWoman · 13/07/2010 11:13

Good morning from wet Chessington!

Really shocked to hear about MOS and what?s driven her to remove herself ? I missed thread but can?t believe that some thoughtless people have taken things this far. We?ll miss you and would love to see you back on here somehow MOS .

SM glad your arm seems to be in the mend ? must have been just a bit inconvenient for a while! Sounds like DP is making an effort ? I hope he chooses something tasty to cook for you! DH cooked for me last night ? oven chips and breaded cod! Was yummy, but not much washing up needed!

Littlesez - how?s little Izzy doing now? Hope she?s a bit happier now it?s cooled down.

Calico - I?m in awe of everyone who manages to post so regularly! I only seem to be able to manage it when I?m at work. Sam is like Lilian ? as soon as the laptop is opened, he tries to climb up and bash the keyboard.

How?s everyone doing?

Dinky - we are still up sometime between 5am & 5.30am to start the day with Sam. I?m getting very tired of it ? always got a niggling headache. He was awake for a couple of hours the other night and is really screaming when put to bed. Worth getting his ears checked? Or just a phase?.. I?m worried that he?ll be an early riser forever now ? I know some are.

I went to speech therapy on Friday to discuss DD, and am supposed to be keeping a speech diary for a week for her. Not very easy of course! The therapist doesn?t think she?s selectively mute, she thinks it?s all part of the social communication problem that may/may not be autism etc?. Would be a shame if it is because apparently it?s something that will need work for life, basically?

Am a bit worried about the weather forecast?. DD is 3 tomorrow and I have about 115 children coming round for cake in the afternoon ? heavy rain showers would not be very welcome. It?s all a bit pointless anyway because DD will hate everyone being there and will spend the afternoon in her bedroom with Postman Pat and Jess in their helicopter . Still, am looking forward to it myself, and Sam will have a blast!

It?s freezing in our office ? the boss likes the air conditioning really cold ? I?ve got a cardi on but am still chilly. Keep nipping to the ladies to put my hands under the dryer?

See y?all later.

SweetTalkinWoman · 13/07/2010 11:14

That would be 15 children, not 115

SilveryMoon · 13/07/2010 11:33

Lol. I was going to say STW that must be a bloody big cake!

Good luck with the speech diary.
