Phew I thought everyone had gone on holiday together Grin without telling me !
7 weeks and counting eh JKS ?
Madmouse looks like you had a fab time as far as your fb pics go Smile
We had a breakthrough today. We went to Camden Town today. We were out for a good few hours and George was dry all day Grin 2 wees on his potty. Came home telling him what a very clever little fella he is and he poohed in his pants Hmm. Ah well it will come with time I guess. All my other boys did Grin
Davids back to school Thurs. Silly day to go back if you ask me but he can't wait.
Well thats about it from me.
Simpson?

LuckySalem · 31/08/2010 22:07

I'm sure you all keep forgetting about me!! lol

gingeme · 01/09/2010 11:01

I have put on 1 lb this week. So frustrating as I have only 4lb to lose till my target. The SW lady said she will give me a different plan to try next week so I can shift these Grin

madmouse · 01/09/2010 20:01

Gingeme Simpson is living it up on the Isle of Wight - back Saturday I think!

AngeChica · 02/09/2010 07:18

morning...

Big congrats JKS, mixedmama :) . I hope to be joining you with a BFP at some point in the coming months, TTC since July. It was an eye opener for DH on holiday who realised 2 can entertain each other and 1 remains demanding. I will be 38 in Dec though and this weighs on my mind a bit. Plus my AFs have gone haywire Hmm.

DS has been invading our room at night constantly since we got home. DH not back to work til next week & has been helping deal with it, but it can't help but disturb us both. If we let him get in he wriggles and kicks all night and I am fit for nothing at work the next day. So we just return him back to his bed over and over again. If we shut the door he gets really enraged.

He has also started having some alarming tantrums. He never really did before. It's just a phase I guess - actually quite comical at times.

Gradually building up the nerve to potty train - he will go on traier seat or in potty no problem.

gingeme · 02/09/2010 13:49

Thanks madmouse I was getting worried Smile
Ange wow no ttc if lo's are in your bed. Best nip it in the bud asap Wink
Agree that two can entertain eachother very well. David went back to school today so we took Edward and George to Kidzbiz, a local soft play centre, and they got on like a house on fire the whole time we were there. Now I love my David to bits but he can be pretty bossy at times which because Eward won't have none of it it does cause eruptions Angry
We went to the pub where I'm having my party too this morning. Sorted out the food I want and my Dad will go in and pay for it all on Saturday. I have to think of what to have on my cake now. My rl friend is making it for me and I'm seeing her on Saturday to talk over some ideas Smile
George poohed his pants again this morning Sad wees like a good thing on the potty but the poohs are definately not registering just yet HmmHe'll get there.....

latrucha · 03/09/2010 15:30

HI all,

I am around but my little big boy is a big chunk to bf and type at the same time so I don't get to write much.

Both are getting on really well. Daniel is piling on weight and is now very long with delectably chubby thighs. Sabela is still kissing him lots and is now sleeping well again. In the end, it was me telling her that her sleeping well made mummy an daddy happy - so she did! Bless her.

Lots of new babies on the thread soon then! (Fingers crossed for a speedy conception Ange!) Don't stress if not. My Gp told me it doesn't actually get more difficult all that quickly.

Still really haven't gone fot he potty training. She's really keen but I don't think she's ready.

So, what would you do with this dilemma. As you all know S is a light eater, worse if out of the house. She's going to start 2 whole days at nursery and can have packed lunch or school dinners. I chose dinners hoping it would help her widen her repertoire. She had her first dinner yesterday - all things that she really likes by complete fluke. The manager and her key worker told DH that she ate about two mouthfulls and refused everything else including ice cream (lunch was pizza, jacket potato and salad - two mouthfulls of salad and one of potato which is her favourite thing.) She came home at 12.30 by arranegment but the full days start next week.

Do I send her with a packed lucnh of things I know she likes even though she may not eat them because she is too excited out of the house or do I tough it out with dinners and put up with a starving two year old who is beside herself with hunger and tired at 3pm for abit in the hope the long term effect is good?

gingeme · 03/09/2010 18:44

LaT does she have to have one or the other? Can you not try her with the dinners for say a month and if she is realy not progressing give her a packed lunch? I was the same with David last year. He ate pasta cheese or pasta and cheese and yoghurt for afters and that was it. Stuck it for a month and he has now even tried very mild curry and chili con carn which even I won't eat Smile
Just a thought xx

simpson · 04/09/2010 17:43

Hi all

Got back from IOW today.

Had a good time Smile and weather was lovely. Kids had a good time but not totally relaxing for me as I have to look after them Grin

J is back at school on Monday and I have soooo much to do!!

nicky6 · 05/09/2010 14:29

hi all hope everyone is well. i can really feel the onset of autumn in the air and beginning tothink oh goodness loads of finding things to do inside when it gets dark to come boo hoo - i love the summer. Charlie getting increasingly difficult to nap at lunchtime but once asleep will sleep for 2 hours. Also has started to get out of her big bed and turn the light on - really strange and also keeps putting all sorts of things in her bed like crayons books, slippers, a phot bit of plastica etc must be uncomfortable!.

Was our wedding anniverary this week and dh bought lovely gifts and we had a really nice meal out togewther at the mandarin oriental in knightsbridge as thats the hotel we stayed at in singapore on the first night of our honey moon - ahh how romantic - actually had a lovely evening.

Have just joined a gym that does a 6 week programme where they measure you and monitor you and help you I am down to 10 2, I was 10 when i fell pregannt with charlie. but i was a few pounds over what i would like to be - but these last 5 pounds are stubborn little so and so's so I have decided to join gym - not even told dh as dont want the spanish inquisition about going - and also wonder if he will notice! have worked out that i can go early in the morning on the days dh takes kids to nursery and i am working at home - so will see how long motivation lasts.

well done gingeme you have done so well.

hope all yopu preganant ladies and those wiht new little ones are coping ok.

gingeme · 05/09/2010 16:27

Nicky6 George wont sleep without his Buzz Lighyou Grin which is hard plastic and about 30cm tall and yes I often think how uncomfortable he must be but its still there in the morning Hmm
Congratulations on your anniversary. How many years?
I am going to join the gym on the 22nd. Edward starts nursery on the 20th and I take George to pg on a Tuesday so the 22nd it is Smile
I took George to a pool party yesterday. His friend whos party it was her Dad is a swimming instructer for a local school so they had it in there. George was a bit aprehensive at first but once he was in he loved it Smile it was the same place David used to have lessons .
Edwards home visit tomorrow afternoon . Looking forward to that and I'm glad David will be at school or Edward won't get a word in edgeways Hmm
Well better get some dinner on.
Hope you are all well xx

simpson · 05/09/2010 16:55

Gingeme - how is G getting on with big boy pants??

M has spent over 2hrs today bare bummed Grin

She will take her nappy off herself (if she can get to it) and insist on me changing her everytime she does a wee Hmm

She is even happy to be bare bummed for a bit and can last a couple of hrs without weeing but she will not wee in potty Hmm and will ask for a nappy back on

Nicky - am very Envy of your gym. My keep fit classes I do through J's schools childrens centre are on hold atm due to lack of funds Angry

Spent most of today getting J ready to go back to school tom.

gingeme · 06/09/2010 13:12

Hi Simpson. He is doing fine with his wees just got to get the message through that he needs to do poohs on the potty too HmmI have noticed that he will go into another room to do a pooh then swears blind he hasn't done one Angry Its all getting a bit frustrating. He is back to pre school on Wednesday so his teacher will soon nip it in the bud Grin She did brilliantly with David and Edward Smile
I hope J enjoys his first day xxx

JustKeepSwimming · 06/09/2010 19:41

Lol Filly :)

Hello everyone, have been a bit remiss about posting, have had both sets of grandparents up for a long weekend each, plus last minute sorting of school stuff for T.
He starts tomorrow & is very excited Grin

I'm ok but feeling quite icky at times, can't wit for this stage to pass. Am developing a tummy already (8 weeks)!! Need to get my mat clothes down from the loft tomorrow i think as i can't bear anything snug around the waist.

Otherwise, H is doing very well, on a spurt definitely, started scribbling and lots of jumping, spinning, etc. He loves to applaud himself too Grin
Still going with the Keppra wean, just 3 weeks left.

I think we were talking about poss meeting up the day i'm next up to GOSH? Will have DH with me so not sure what his plans/preferences are, but it's the 21st Sept (a tues) if anyone can join us, maybe for lunch/run around in Coram's?
the appt is at 3.

mixedmamameansbusiness · 07/09/2010 10:59

Hello all.

Am in a really positive mood today. Have just handed in my notice at work. Feel really good about it, and they are not even replacing me as there really is nothing to do alot of the time.

My parents have sorted out their living arrangements so will be leaving us over the weekend and next week - they are brilliant and I havent cooked since dad has been here but it will be nice to have our space back.

S starts school tomorrow. His teacher and the TA came round this morning for his home visit. DH said they were really impressed by the way he holds his pen and his writing and drawing and DH said he was really confident and talkative (he is normally a little shy). Massively proud and cannot wait for tomorrow.

JKS - saw the pics of T - so sweet. We dont have a uniform so we wont get that picture Sad I wont be around for 21st as have to work (boo) but after the 5th Oct I am available in school hours to anyone who wants to meet every single day.

Ginge - fabulous for E too.

Hello all and welcome back Simps. Anyone know where Lily might be?

gingeme · 08/09/2010 13:22

Good for you Mixedmamma Smile
Happy Anniversary to Mr and Mrs madmouse x
Hey filly pop by soon love?
LaT hows the eating thing going ?
George was back to pre school today and did 2 wees on the toilet Shock he refuses point blank to go on the toilet at home Hmm
I stayed the same at SW again this week Angry the lady has given me a different plan to follow for 2 weeks and see how that goes. I am due for mooncup week too which doesn't help!
So just Edward at home now till 20th. He's getting bored nwo. No amount of tv or drawing or reading seems to keep him intersted for long now. So ready to start nursery Sad

latrucha · 08/09/2010 13:45

HI all- I'mm falling right behind but intend to be back! Dodgy computer plus visitors are to blame.

Sabela ate four mouthfuls each of ham and potato yesterday (first day in full time). She said they were nasty but I had impressed the importance upon her! We'll see how she's done today.

IT's all rush rush rush with two, isn't it?

Promise tp be back properly soon.

simpson · 08/09/2010 18:13

Bugger....

Was looking forward to have friday to myself and now my dad has to work so looks like I am supervising H with M

It will be the first time I have spent a long amount of time with H since we split Shock

He arrives at around 10ish and my dad can't get to mine till gone 2,eeeeek!!!

latrucha · 08/09/2010 21:24

Do something out of the house? Agree it's a nightmare.

simpson · 08/09/2010 21:48

LaT - that is definately my plan Grin

maybe take M to Mcdonalds for lunch and park afterwards, not sure yet....

Just hope J does not hear about it otherwise he will not be happy about M having a day with dad without him

angechica · 09/09/2010 22:00

Just a quick drop in mainly to announce that DS has been dry all day today, what a star! Grin

Toilet trainer seat has been a huge success.

Last night at 4am confused boy appears at our bedside with "I need a wee wee", the night before "Read me a story" at about the same time. We have also had bad dreams about "scary mouse with big teeth" and "scary horsie". Every night it's something!

I think it might take going to nursery or school before he settles down at night. My nephew was 4 before he did.

latrucha · 10/09/2010 14:58

How did it go Simpson?

simpson · 10/09/2010 16:01

Thank f**k that is over!!! Grin

H pissed me off lots, reminded me why I got rid of him Grin

He had been with M for an hr (J was at school) and he said he felt tired and wanted to go and lie down Shock

I said something along the lines of I have Dcs everyday, all day and you have done 1hr!!!

Also he brought little present (ie pound shop tat) for J but did not even bother to wrap it Sad

I bought M lunch and various items she needs ie socks etc and no offer of money from him Hmm

Oh well, he is gone, and don't have to see him till late sunday afternoon Smile

latrucha · 10/09/2010 16:13

Well done Simpson. Do something nice for yourself this afternoon.

Thankfully both DC are sleeping and I have regained a functional brain. It was touch and go today.

Our fridge broke this morning and may cost four to five hundred pounds to replace. We're trying something to kick start it over the weekend but I lost all the food I'd pre-prepared for our Spanish guests. I'm very tired after having to communicate in another language while looking after two little ones and cooking etc. Daniel keeps bashing the sides of his cot in his sleep and waking me up Hmm Otherwise we'd be getting a manageable amount of sleep so can't complain. Also, Sabela vomited her lunch and declared she didn't want to eat food any more. I thought it was deliberate and was very cross but now I think it probably wasn't. Ho hum. Lots of cuddles and play this afternoon to make up for it. I really felt so tired today I felt like sobbing. That is for the first time since Daniel was born so not bad but I'm so happy they are giving me a break!

On the up side I did support my first mum at breastfeeding group last week. Thankfully, she was doing great and didn't need anything very serious. It was a good feeling.
