Hello new thread

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Simps - E also says that exact same phrase amongst others (perhaps him and M have been colluding). Mostly I just ignore him. Depends on how/when etc sometimes I just give him a stern look and say that isnt nice and I dotn like... he normally laughs in my face as that is his way of dealing with getting told off. Ignoring works better as he eventually just comes up for a hug and says I love you, then I just say that wasnt nice and mummy doesnt like it and he says ok. Still does it from time to time. I imagine they will grow out of it.

Breakthrough over here S has finally decided that Ben 10 is no longer his fave programme and has discovered Cartoonito and now loves Fireman Sam which I am much happier about and also way more suitable for E.

madmouse · 19/08/2010 13:44

erm Blush - I call Nathan Mr poo poo head when I carry him upstairs with a smelly bottom..

probably shouldn't then!!!

Very proud of him - those whom i haven't already bored on fb - here

latrucha · 19/08/2010 14:07

Made me well up Madmouse - what a great little man, and a great mum and dad he has too.

mixedmamameansbusiness · 19/08/2010 14:48

MM - I only pull E up on it as he has a tendancy to say a whole host of things. Poo poo head was taught to him courtesy of his lovely big brother.

Saw FB... so proud. Definitely testament to his great parents and his fantastic determination.

simpson · 19/08/2010 15:25

Well done Nathan Grin

Is fab news and shows what a determined little man he is Smile

Have started to pull M up on "poo poo head" etc as she always says it in public Blush ie at toddler yoga or storytime reading session at surestart today Blush

At totally knackered and will definately be on the wine tonight. I have looked after a friends 5yr old girl today. I take my hat off to those of you with 3 or more...

Suprisingly it has been J who has been the total pain in bum, screaming etc and had total hissy fit at childrens centre today grabbing stuff off other kids etc (most unlike him and he definately knows better!!)

Another fight breaking out between the 3 of them, must go....

nicky6 · 19/08/2010 23:02

DS loved it though and has really come on with his talking.

So... What's the gossip?

simpson · 20/08/2010 18:01

My bro is bringing his lap top on holiday so I may get online

latrucha · 20/08/2010 20:33

Enjoy, Simpson.

Hi Nicky and Ange.

I have one shouty, shouty toddler at the moment. She's definitely feeling jealous and taking it out on me. SHe's being her nice self too but much of my day consists of this:

'this one this one this one this one this one this one this one this one this one this one' - quietly

'this one this one this one this one this one this one this one this one this one this one' - loudly

'this one this one this one this one this one this one this one this one this one this one' - shouting

repeat for the words 'NOW' 'No' 'Sabela' etc and follow with hysterical screaming.

Sigh.

She has worked out that when she goes to bed Daniel stays with us and is screaming on going to bed and waking in the night. She screamed herself sick last night (despite parental attention) which seems to have scared her into behaving better at bedtime today. Hopefully, she won;t be the little one waking me up tonight. Daniel slept until 4, Sabela only managed until 1am Hmm

We have survived, and even had some nice time too but she's hard work right now.

gingeme · 21/08/2010 14:40

Hi all just signing in . Back from our hols. Had a great week despite a few showery days Smile
Is there a meet up soon ? Hope I can come.
Brill nws on the new man front Simpson Wink
How are you JKS ? Sickness kicked in yet?
Had to stop a couple of times on the way back as David was sick Sad he had the runs last night too Hmm he seems fine now hes home and is playing Ghostbusters on the wii Smile
Well I'll pop by later if I can get away from the washing Hmm
xxx to all

nicky6 · 21/08/2010 22:11

gingeme filly and mixedmama seemed to be discussing some kind of meet - but i confess i only had a very brief skim through.

i have had some good news on the work front i was meant to be back working full time from sept but for one reason and another i can now stay 3 days a week until jan so very pleased.

i can even fit into a few old work suits now!

Noah now walking and OMG i need eyes in the back of my head.

Charlie now not wearing nappies at night which is great but also a bit of a pain, although she is doing really well - i hasten tto add this was at her instigation not mine, i told her that when she was big and her nappy was dry then she could go to bed in just her bottom - cue dry nappy and insisiting she was big now and didnt need a nappy - anyway she is not doing too bad and even woke up and went on the potty and back to sleep without me even knowing in the night!!

Went back to kings with noah where consultant clearly hadnt read any of our previous case notes made me quite cross and he also gave me different advice and info to the last consultant . and patronisingly told me that sometimes babies wake up in the night not due to reflux - NO shit sherlock nearly punched him in the head! anyway we are off to HOp farm in paddock wood tomorrow it looks really good - my mum and stepdad are taking my brothers 3 kids there for a treat for the day so i am taking my 2 to meet them - should be fun - or mad. looks like a massive place though.

Ok DH out tonight so I am getting an early night. so no more on here else it will be 11 before i know it Grin

gingeme · 22/08/2010 17:05

Thanks Nicky Smile
George has just done his first wee on his potty Grin He has been sitting on it for about an hour then quietly did a wee. I asked him if he had done a wee and he kind of grunted and stood up to reveal awee. Then he went and played in his room to do a bit more wee on their rug Hmm He refuses to wear pants though just like his bottom bare Smile Ah well its a step forward I guess.

LuckySalem · 22/08/2010 20:41

Hello all!!!

Thought I should update while I can Grin

Lets start with the eldest. Aaliyah is doing well, she's really pushing her boundaries as is to be expected. We get alot of "no" and "why" if I ask her to do something.
The naughty corner is BRILLIANT though.
We've also mastered (pretty much) potty training. I just stopped using nappies and yes it took her 3 days of terribly wet knickers to do it but she did it. We even went to soft play today and no accidents.

Abgail is now 5 months old, she's still breastfed which I am sooo proud of!! She's sitting up alone now too (still a little wobbly but fine on soft surfaces) We've started weaning her as she started waking alot again and constantly yelling and she's eating LOADS - have just posted about it and expecting ALOT of shouting at me! lol

I'm not doing so good myself. struggling alot and finding myself doubting my capabilities so taking it day by day.

Apologies for no personals but I do read every single day, just can't post sometimes.

Take care everyone.

gingeme · 23/08/2010 13:21

Yey Lucky sounds like your doing just brilliant. Your girls sound gorgeous. Your taking a risk posting about weaning though Hmm
We have just been to Primark and bought George 14 pairs of pants for £4 ! Bought David some grey school socks and some jogging bottoms for Edward for nursery Grin so cheap and cheerful in there.
DH back to work today after his 2 week annual leave. TBH I'm kinda glad cause I get some 'me' time this evening once the boys are in bed Wink
Well I hope everyone is ok and staying dry.
Need some more details about the meet up please? Anyone?

latrucha · 23/08/2010 16:19

Hello all,

Sabela has been much more lovely and much more manageable since I posted. It must have been one of those days!

She is a bit of a telly addict though and she wants to watch it in between doing things (e.g. walk - asks for telly - sticking asks for telly). How much telly do your LOs watch?

Lucky - I think that's what being a SAHM is like often. Your children would like to have 100% of your attention 100% of the time. As this is impossible, you're often left feeling like you're playing catch up and not very well.

mixedmamameansbusiness · 24/08/2010 10:15

Gingeme - Filly and I were talking about meeting tomorrow at Hampstead Heath, but I know she has family about so dont think it is happening. Although if you guys fancy a trip to the Heath I can meet you down there. FB me if so. Or Highgate Woods perhaps?

Hi all.... not much to report here.

Had my scan yesterday - exactly 12 weeks. Annoying sonographer who decided that I could not chose my own ethnic origin and commented on my fat tummy no less than 3 times.

Felling loads better still tired and sicky and sometimes sick but not all consuming anymore.

LuckySalem · 24/08/2010 11:03

Glad to hear all is good MM!! Grin Annoying sonographer!! Why do they feel the need to point silly things like that out?!

I finally got some sleep last night. She went to sleep at 8.30 and didn't wake till 4.30am!! then went back to sleep after a 1/2 hr feed till 8.30am!! Grin

gingeme · 25/08/2010 16:56

Oops sorry MM Blush totaly missed that one.
George doing great on the potty Smile Only ddoing it for the afternoons after his sleep this week then all day next week Shock but if he carrys on the way he is it should be fine. Then he goes back to pre school and the play leader will help too with lots of encouragement Grin
Apart form that not alot is going on here realy. Went to rl friends this morning. At home now watching Brother Bear.
Oh and I lost 1 lb this week and now have my 2 stone award Grin 4 lb till my target weight Grin. So surprised as I did not follow the plan one bit while we were away.

latrucha · 26/08/2010 21:20

Mixedmama - what a totally lame sonographer!

Gingeme- well done you! What plan are you using again? My friend started slimming world but said it took her too long to prepare the food. ??

Sabela is suffering from some jealousy now and we're having real difficulty getting her to bed. It's a bit grim. She's also been a bit rough with Daniel today. Mostly it's lovely though. Hard work but lovely. Daniel is smiling and putting on lots of weight. He loves Sabela and follows her everywhere with his eyes. Sabela is full of beans and good fun to be with mostly. A very busy bee though!

fillybuster · 28/08/2010 12:26

Oops...lost you all from 'threads i'm on' so place marking quickly...off to catch up on thread and will post later xx

gingeme · 28/08/2010 16:34

Slimming World also LaT. I did it 9 years ago just before we got married and lost about a stone on it so I kinda knew what to do already. I'm not very good at preparing any sort of food unless its from the freezer or pasta but I still stick to the plan. Thats why I love it cause it realy does fit in with the family too.
Anyway an update on the potty training. George is doing great on the potty. No accidents while at home but has done 2 poohs in his pants Hmm. Took him to the park today and he wet his pants as soon as we got there. Were there about an hour and a half and ate lunch in the cafe there and he was dry the whole time Grin asked for a wee while we were there so sat him on his pot but he didn't do anything.
Ive just finnished writing and addessing my invites for my 40th. Will post them all tomorrow Smile getting all excited now .
Well I hope your all well. Better go Edward needs his bum wiped now Hmm It feels like a pooh and wee day today Wink

gingeme · 30/08/2010 14:30
