Hello new thread

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LaTrucha · 07/06/2010 21:49

Oh yes. And I'm fully expecting it to get worse when the baby's here.

I suppose telling me DC2 is going to be more difficult is one way of making me feel better about still being pregnant. Thanks

Have a good time tomorrow, girls.

gingeme · 08/06/2010 07:32

Morning ladies . George and I won't be joining you today as he is too poorly. He was sick again and has quite a high temp this morning so I won't risk it. hope it's all good despite the rain !

JustKeepSwimming · 08/06/2010 08:07

Gingeme
Hope he gets better soon.

simpson · 08/06/2010 08:45

gingeme - hope he gets better soon.

JKS & Filly - am setting off now, am problems I will get your mob no. off WST

gingeme · 08/06/2010 09:27

Thanks ladies. He seems a bit cooler now but still keeping him in today .

fillybuster · 08/06/2010 10:04

Sorry you can't make it today, Gingeme, but hope George is feeling better soon

I'm still planning to come out for a bit if I can find the energy to get some clothes on (and find some clothes to actually fit...I hate the enormous last-weeks-of-pregnancy bit especially whenits raining and my shoes won't go on....)

Lilyloo · 08/06/2010 15:24

Hope you have had lovely day all .
to hear about George hope he is better soon.

JustKeepSwimming · 08/06/2010 17:50

Well I'm home

G - hope George is better.

Filly - hope you listened and put those feet up!!

Simps - hope you got home ok & M ate her sandwiches ok on the train, H had his jam ones + choc buttons for tea, whilst sitting next to a very serious suited chap, i spent my time waiting for H to smear his trousers with jam

All went well, despite weather, in fact we missed the worst of it i think, H & M had fun on the swings but mostly in the puddles
then a yummy lunch at Nando's

H's appt went well, we only had to wait just over an hour so not too bad, i was expecting to still be there now.
He can start coming off his last drug from today, should be fully off by the end of Sept.
We have another appt in Sept to see how it's gone (though that may have to change as he won't be entirely off it by the time we were given)
and then a trip back around Dec to have a repeat MRI, EEG & Development check.

Consultant was very positive
H spent the sppt opening the doors & undoing the locks to try and escape, as well as opening the drawers and trying to run off with her pen

GOing to try and do an early bath for boys, get H to bed early then grab dinner before heading out to orch

simpson · 08/06/2010 18:08

JKS - glad you did not have to wait too long for appt

M not stopped talking about H all afternoon and how they got wet in puddles

She did not eat her sandwich on the way back in the end (I think she was stuffed with nandos ) and even stayed in buggy the whole time, wide awake

I even made it back in time to pick J up from school although tbh too close/stressful if I did not know my dad was going to do as well iyswim

Got to find energy for dance class tonight...

gingeme · 08/06/2010 23:01

Sounds like you had fun today splashing in puddles and noshing in Nandos !
George seems a bit better though realy played up for DH at bedtime as I went out with my Dad for a pub dinner.
Think I'll be keeping George home from pre school tomorrow .
Ah well off to bed. Got a busy morning waiting in for the Hotpoint man to fix my tumble dryer, again !

AngeChica · 09/06/2010 20:51

just bookmarking. Increase in work hours gives me less time to read the thread but I do catch up sometimes and think of you all often.

My house is also a dump but I found I was trying to do too much on Fridays and collapsing asleep by 8pm on a Friday night. So now I just enjoy my day with Al and sod the chores. Unfortunately DH wants to do likewise on the weekend and having a cleaner would wipe out a chunk of how much extra we get with me doing extra day at work! Ah well...

Had to put DS back in bed about 10 times last night. He was going on about a spider (!?) maybe he had a bad dream; generally he's much better than he used to be re sleeping. He is talking now at last, garbled but cute.

LaTrucha · 09/06/2010 22:14

Ange - Seriously, consider getting a cleaner. I've had one come in twice now and I honestly can say it's the best £15 I spend in the week. It makes such a difference to us all and makes DH and I bizarrely happy (I think that's something to do with having the whole house clean at one time instead of piecemeal as I did it). Even if it does use up some of the money you earn, you can have much more fun with DH and Al (even if you leave the housework, it's on your mind, isn't it?).

I love my cleaner. It would sound unfaithful to DH, but DH loves him too.

Had final scan today. Baby boy growing well - (estimated 7 1/2 pounds so far although innacurate I know), fluid levels up to normal again, head down and all looking well for VBAC. Yay! I'll have a hand held scan in two weeks, just in case but apart from that and the birth plan (which makes me giggle as everyone is taking it seriously except me. My plan is to see how it goes and not expect too much), just the last three weeks to wait.

DH driving now is making these last weeks much easier.

How's George?

Glad you others had a good time.

WST - where've you popped off to again?

MrsMcJnr · 09/06/2010 22:19

Bookmarking, sorry I have been away so long!

LuckySalem · 10/06/2010 06:08

Hi ladies,

Glad to hear you all had fun, sorry but london too far for me, lol

Ange - I agree with the cleaner thing, you need to have some time to relax, why don't you look at it as being the extra day is to pay for the cleaner and then anything spare is fun money to pay for stuff to do while the house is being cleaned?

LaT - I didn't have a birthplan as everything I wanted to do they said I couldnt! lol, Good luck with it though and I hope you get it as I honestly believe it's done me the world of good being able to say I did it with Abigail.

Speaking of Abigail - we're getting giggles now which is lovely and I got the most gorgeous picture of her the other day fresh out of the bath here I'm in love with it.

I've got toothace again I went to dentist on Tuesday and she did some drilling and filling and it got rid of it for a day but its back again now and I can't sleep again

Anyways - BIG WAVES to everyone hope your all well.

willsurvivethis · 10/06/2010 12:01

Hi all

Sorry LaT I'm here but counselling is hell and other stuff has been happening too.

OP posts:
Lilyloo · 10/06/2010 21:04

LaTrucha · 10/06/2010 21:15

Lilyloo- tell more about work!

WST - I'm sorry it's so tough. Hope DH and friends are bearng you both up.

I am tired beyond belief today. I've already slept three hour during the day and I am fighting to keep awake so I can digest my dinner - avoiding waking up with horrible indigestion later on. I can';t even concentrate on TV!

LaTrucha · 10/06/2010 21:26

If any of you have got toddler parties to go to, this might be useful.

mixedmamameansbusiness · 11/06/2010 09:46

Hi ladies,

Just checking in and saying hi. Have caught up, but dont have very much to add.

So big his, hugs and giggles for you all.

simpson · 11/06/2010 12:51

Hi all

Am have massive problems with M's pooing again

Poo on me, oozing out of nappy on carpet etc

So today I am going hardcore

No fruit at all except for bananas, and lots of pasta, rice, meat, pastry etc. Ie things to bung her up

Going to try this for a few days and see what happens, otherwise I am at a loss

gingeme · 11/06/2010 13:52

Afternoon ladies.
George is A OK again thanks for asking
Seems back to square one with M Simpson
Would it help to share WST?
Wow Lucky she is a mini you so sweet.
Rest up LaT make the most of it
Well my back is still pretty painful. Ive had swabs taken and urine tested for allsorts and have all come back clear so the gp is sending me for a scan. I have something wrong with my liver which they found a couple of years ago which is a 'fatty liver' mostly associated with alcaholics(I don't drink ) and sometimes pregnancy so weather they tell me its flared up again I don't know Might just be wear and tear of having 5 babies
DH has the weekend off which is a rarity and we planned going out for a meal as my Mum was coming up for the weekend so was going to babysit. She has a bad cold so won't be coming now ah well looks like were watching the football then.............

Lilyloo · 11/06/2010 19:42

Well M came to pre school today , she did really well other than when it came to sitting on carpet for news and story when she wanted tto sit on my knee.
Oh and at 11 she said she wanted to go home !! I forgot how tiring it is for them. Just hope she gets used to not being able to sit on my knee when i do story etc. Still early days i guess.
LaT i am loving it actually , feels good to be using brain again. It's good as i actually know a lot of mums already so dont fell 'new' iyknwim.

Simps sorry to hear M not good again , could it be a bug ?

Ginge we having big street party tom for football , got the flags up the bunting coming tom to go up the street !

gingeme · 12/06/2010 15:26

We have just got back from Corams Fields I didn't know they had a water feature there luckily the boys only got a little wet. Steered them away as best we could. Will go again in the 'summer' with spare clothes and pic nic. Just in case anyone is near there next Saturday theyre having a free craft day. 1-5pm make fridge magnets,a wiggly worm,a crazy caterpillar, listen to stories and much much more

fillybuster · 13/06/2010 11:47

Just popping in to say hi and placemark...not much to add here: bump is still firmly in place (due tomorrow!) and now dh's surprise tea party is over I'm quite happy for it to come soon

Knackered today after the party, but so pleased it went well and that loads of people turned up

Lily - work sounds great, so pleased its going well

Gingeme - that sounds a bit scary, fingers crossed its all ok. Thanks for the tip about the water feature - we still haven't been to CFs with the dcs but will def go this summer so good to know about taking towels!!

Simpson - oh dear Is it worth going back to the doctor again? Are there any more tests they can do? This can't be good for you or M

WST - what Gingeme said: we're here if it would help to share xx

Ange - if you can stretch to it, LaT is absolutely right about the cleaner. Plus it means that dh and I don't get so narked with one another when we make a mess....!

MixedMama, Lucky, MrsMc - waves and blows kisses

Still in pjs, so time to get some kit on I think - A is at a party so dh and I are going to take T out for lunch, then I'm off to a friends' baby shower this afternoon.

Oh, this made me laugh (and choke!), I think you'll all be amused too....she has a gift list for her baby shower. A John Lewis gift list With hugely expensive items on it (£45 night light, £30 babygros etc etc)....I was absolutely gobsmacked. Weddings, yes. Baby showers? I'm resisting the urge to point out to her that Mothercare, Kiddicare, Argos and eBay would all provide much cheaper alternatives to getting ready for baby #1

Anyway, I've decided to ignore it and have bought her a lovely Sanctuary 'mum to be' gift set from Boots....I want to get something for her, not a single (organic cotton) towel and anyway her baby isn't due for about 8 weeks and I'll buy a present of my own choosing for it in a few months time when I next see her

willsurvivethis · 13/06/2010 17:06

Thanks everyone x

Not sure it is a good idea to share much on here - still posting a fair bit in mental health.

In very brief terms last year the memories came back, right now the feelings are coming back from when I was being abused. It's a rollercoaster without the fun bit and counselling takes it out of me a bit. It's hard feeling 7 again and experiencing the fear, confusion, pain etc.

That's enough about me

Filly - your friend is silly and you are doing the right thing. My dear friend when preparing for the long awaited pfb bought the most precious white fragile fabric to cover the traditional dutch crib, had it all done by a tailor. Did not take kindly to my question how well it would stand up to sick, wee and pooh. Oh well, baby here now so she will find out!!

Lily glad the job is going well.

Sorry brain mush - Gingeme you ok?

Will try to post more.
