My brain is probably hanging out in the same park as Gingemes....so apologies for crap post in advance!
LaT - we got Tamara a microscooter 'from' Baby Mia and she's already getting good on it, so a better investment for park visits and stuff than A's bike has been. They're horribly expensive but seem to last for ages - does that help?
JKS - I've now remembered the hell that is getting to Liverpool St with a newborn plus buggy for the train to Southend so Sept would be much better as I might be able to face the drive by then...I'm far too sleep deprived at the moment! Unless there's some other way from NW London that doesn't involve trekking into central london first?
MM (and Gingeme) - don't forget Priory Road Park near Crouch End We just spent a lovely few hours there with the dcs and the combo of playground and paddling pool is good to cover a decent amount of time. Its a good spot for picnics, too
Simpson - I'm surviving by means of a mix of remaining nanny-time (sadly over soon) and summer camps for A. Its definitely not easy, especially sleep-deprived and with a new baby in tow..!!
LaT - I'm convinced that 3 is a good idea, but must admit that its an absolute bugger financially (and we've only just got started) and definitely means I will have to work more than I might otherwise have done. But I never felt quite 'done' with 2, although like you I was very grateful for having 2 healthy happy dcs. Not sure what to suggest, except don't do anything until you feel ready, regardless of sabaticals etc, otherwise you wont enjoy it
