MissInterpret - loving the new name! And I know what you mean about the guilt. I bought myself a new pair of jeans yesterday (had to be done, I have been living in leggings and one pair of trousers...) - they cost me £20, and as I was paying for them, I was thinking, "But that's a lot of nappies!" Don't feel too bad though as DPs mum sent me some money for my birthday I hope you enjoy the wedding - I'm sure you'll look stunning as ever

I should probably screw my head on enough to remember to put my son's name...

I like the new name MissInterpret! (Had to stop myself calling you Raggie there)

I know what you mean about wanting to look fabulous. I'm thoroughly fed up dressing so I can breastfeed discretely. Surely when the babies are 6 months old we should be looking whatever-the-opposite-of-mummsie-is? If anyone tells me I'm a mum and I'll never look the same again, duck!

Anyone else seen the thread asking what your boobs look like after breastfeeding? I'm avoiding it like the plague!

SirBoobAlot · 27/05/2010 23:19

DWB I have read it - though to be honest all I need to do it look down at my knees to see the answer. Though apparently that comes from pregnancy, and not breastfeeding... Another one fed up with dressing to feed here.

MissInterpret · 27/05/2010 23:23

Urgh, I know what you mean about the boobs, er, SirBoob . My body has changed and is still changing so much. So much that sometimes I will be completely shocked when I notice...the elasticity. All over.

SirBoobAlot · 27/05/2010 23:25

A girl I know is due in 9 weeks, and she said to me, "I can't wait to get back to normal!". Oh how I laughed...

MissInterpret · 27/05/2010 23:27

Yes, I remember saying that. And then after she was born I thought, hmm, no, still not got my body back to myself...and now she's 6mths old I'm thinking...nope, still not got my body back.

I notice a pattern.

DontWorryBaby · 27/05/2010 23:31

Remember we're holding onto fat stores for breastfeeding!!!!

DontWorryBaby · 27/05/2010 23:35

...aren't we?

SirBoobAlot · 27/05/2010 23:46

Ah the desperation for the reasoning of fat stores... Yes, I think so. However, the fact my bottom is now the size of an oil tanker has got nothing to do with breastfeeding, and everything to do with how much my hips have expanded. Might also have something to do with the chocolate...

Bryn hasn't woken for a night feed yet We're normally on feed two by now!

new thread and back to our old chatty selves!

dd1 very poorly with a chesty cough and raw throat and a temp today, so our soujour to St Andrews might be called off tomorrow . Might have to go by myself with dd2.

bubba good luck tomorrow. Just think of those wasted thousands and the pregnant stressy hell he out you through when you feel like giving up. Let us know how you get on.

BabbatheHun · 28/05/2010 07:02

Did you read the bit in that breastfeeding thread that said the damage is done, if any at all in pregnancy, not through breastfeeding?

And fwiw after DD my boobs went back to normal. But I have always been quite small boobed. But there was no sagginess there. not sure what will happen this time, as for some reason over the last few weeks my boobs have grown! (not milk full either).

Another shit night for us. Bear Cub is going to Docs today as he is not 100%, another chesty cough.

MissInterpret · 28/05/2010 10:18

Oh dear, sorry to hear that bab - about Roo not the boobs bit! - My Roo has the cold too. Think it's all this chopping and changing weather.

Oh, she's just woken up...gotta dash.

Trikken · 28/05/2010 11:25

ooh new thread!

step-dad has managed to get all the parts needed for our car already and has taken it to have a go at fixing it. he used to work as a mechanic so that's helpful. dh has nicknamed our car 'the phoenix'.

fwiw my boobs are definitely not as good as they were and have only ever bottle-fed my two.

I am officially sulking today as it's a lovely sunny day and I had two one-off things to do, but we have to sit in and wait for DH's Glastonbury ticket to be delivered. It's coming between 9 and 5 - grr! Actually, we're having quite a nice morning, pottering, ironing (me), eating cold cucumber sticks (J) and singing to the Pixies on 6 Music.

babba I don't think we'll make it to Beautiful Days either as we really should visit family instead. Bah!

Your weekend sounds lovely skorpion. We have festivals in Newcastle this weekend and next weekend, so will be going to those. Yay. I hope it stays sunny.

Laugs · 28/05/2010 11:45

Oh, as far as I know, the thing about them crawling before walking is because it helps build upper body strength. I think it is supposed to be better for them if they crawl first, but try telling a baby who wants to walk that! I'm sure there's no benefit in trying to hold them back if they know they want to walk. There will be lots of other exercises you can do with them if they do walk first.

Laugs · 28/05/2010 11:47

Oops posted that before reading Page 2. will go back...

Laugs · 28/05/2010 11:55

Hmm my boobs never went back to normal I'm afraid. Oh well, good excuse to invest in some amazing Mad Men-esque structured underwear! Know how you feel MissInterpret I have a wedding like that in July. Another one in a couple of weeks is with kids too, so I feel like I can hide behind them, whereas at the child-free one we have to stand up to the scrutiny of young (well, my age!), child-free (that's why they feel young!) people who can party all night etc.

Good news about the car trikken

Who are you trixy?

How do you change your name by the way? I feel the pressure!

SirBoobAlot · 28/05/2010 15:02

I am ill Have been vomiting every where for a few hours. Hate being sick. So Bryn and I are still in our PJs. Trying to work out why I am sick at the moment; could be anything to do with the mini pill? Started it on Monday...

Hope you're all having good days.

Laugs · 28/05/2010 15:18

Ooh... morning sickness? Only joking. Is it Cerazette? I've never felt sick on it but they do do crazy things to your body, so it's quite possible.
Hope you get well soon x
