had to do a new thread as the old one just wasn't pleasing my computer!

DD better again today, went to preschool and fine there except couldn't play outside so was grumpy about that! Typical kids eh! Bruising has come out though so looks horrid. Swelling not got down either, still a really hard lump. Any ideas on how long that should take to go?

MissJ we live in the biggest postcode area in the UK I am reliably informed by my postie. There are 4 miles from us to both closest villages and in between only a handful of farms left occupied, plenty of redundant farm houses though, mainly abandoned in the 70s and early 80s. The closest towns are both a 20 minute drive, the one DH works in is 17 and a bit miles away. It is remote but I am so used to it now that an hour drive is a short trip to me. At least we can't get takeaway so no temptation not to cook!

I have actually seen a house for sale in over the brow of the hill on a parallel lane to us and am coveting it. Have decided we are a little too exposed for horses so think will try and move closer to the village in a (good) few years time before go back to having horses.

Dog - might be worth getting previous tenants to put that in writing for you about same issues so you have in case landlady doesn't cough up. Not on at all.

Back later...

teaandcakeplease · 08/06/2010 17:44

Did you rent privately DOG?

Maybe you should do a thread on here for advice?

Lenni · 08/06/2010 17:48

Tink - I have an iPhone. DH just swapped from blackberry to iPhone and he prefers iPhone but depends if you have to pay for one as a lot of money on some networks/contracts.

treedelivery · 08/06/2010 21:11

Hi all.

I popped in as I saw www.trulymadlykid.co.uk/catalogue.html?&xctId=13 this stuff and thought of both Moose and Dog, who wanted gingham? I think?

I think brown sandals very good for a girl. I'm sick to death of trying to find something that isn't pink. Had to buy dd1 some trainers for school aparently they can't play outdoor sports in plimsoles Another £20 gone. At least I could get them in the Clarks sale, sent to the store and then fitted. I like that! DD has gone from a 7.5 c-d fitting to a 9 e-f, so the pringles seem to be working I'm a bit at the measurement to be honest, but as the trainers had a tenner off and seemed comfy, I'll take it!

That's a dangerous website btw, click with caution! I really want a ladybird fairy tutu thing for dd2. She's look the business!

chefswife · 08/06/2010 21:14

Thanks Ladies for the accolades. Books You can see it here.

lenni I would say it was the painkillers and the body's natural way of healing that makes your LO tired and whiney. Poor thing. I've never had a broken bone and just can't even imagine what it feels like.

DOG lol At mindless yobbish naughty streak. Must be something in the air. We were at a baby shower Sunday morning and after 2 hours, each of the 9 kids under 22 months had a temper tantrum. We moms had such a laugh. M was the best; she launched herself to the floor after a drawn out yell, gave a few kicks and promptly stopped and scowled at all our laughing and took off. So funny. DD's was the most tame but her look and then the 'look back one more time to make sure mom knows I am completely displeased with her' was simply daggers. She's good. lol.

After the shower, I dropped DD with DH, freshened up make-up and met my girlfriends for a drink.. or two. One friend is moving to Vancouver, which is a bit away because of the logistics of getting off the island, but not too much that I can't see her lots and am planning an overnight shopping trip without DD. Yeah!

I know I probably share too much of my sex life on here, but after 20 years, it does have so many laughable moments. DH came home Saturday night, 1.30am so not too late, a wee drunk and full of the funniest stories about our friend Tomek and the whole dynamics of the night. I was finishing brushing my teeth when he came out of the shower looking for some action. I said, 'No, because you're a little drunk and it will go on forever and its already 2am.' (We are laughing too) "Oh come on, then just a blow job", sigh "OK," sits on toilet but can't perform because I'm still laughing too much, uncontrollably. OMG, it was too funny. He is as well, so it makes it even funnier. DH leans over and barely is able to say through the giggles, "It'll be much faster if I just fuck you".

Life is good.

Rofl at Chef.

Hi Pat. Holiday grand ta very much. Pants about childcare. It's a tricky one alright.

The Boden preview is out Tink! 20% off and free postage too. Ooooo it's nice. The colours are more muted and vintage, which suits my flame haired household.
There is also a code knocking about for 25% off the current season until midnight, f you have money burning a hole in your pocket!

missjackson · 08/06/2010 22:32

Chef thanks for sharing . Twice, thrice a week, all sounds good. It's still our number one fun thing to do .

Lenni house sounds wonderful! Abandoned farmhouses also sound wonderful... same around here but no-one will ever sell, not sure why. They would all be worth a fortune anyway.

Books shame you can't make it on 17th, we will miss you. So how about a summer meet-up plan, people? Slimbridge might be good, just off the motorway?

Iphone here too, love it except the battery is crap.

Lenni · 09/06/2010 08:15

Chef you are funny. I love your stories, Nd the fb photos too!

Thrice a week eh dog, whilst pg. Bloomin heck you are doing well. Lol about stopping for a wee! Probably once or twice a week here sometimes more, never less as DH's requests get unbearable after a few days without!!

DD up, that was a good sleep for her.

we dont do it that often in the bed department

missjackson · 09/06/2010 20:12

Little man in bed by morning here too Lenni... but we don't let that stop us ... is that awful? It's all very quiet and ahem quick gentle... while he plays with his toys on the floor...

treedelivery · 09/06/2010 20:43

No sex here. DD2 is up and screaming, which explains it!

My varicose veins are really really sore. I was turned down for surgery by the PVT when they were in a funding crisis, annoying as I had a date about 3 years ago. I think I'll have to try again, my left leg really aches.

Just bought a new dishwasher on credit card. I can't bear it anymore.
