Evening 120.

Just bookmarking as trying to do ten things at once online at the moment.

Back later hopefully.

Oh, before I go though - Pat, great news about your friend and her baby. Bet you can't wait for a cuddle.

120 · 19/05/2010 20:47

evening! yes Pat, meant to say fab news too, then got a bit carried away on the running. What is wrong with me? I never manage to post what I actually want to say, always forget mid post. oh yes, I have children.

Yay new thread!! Well done 120.

Believe me, the middle child thing totally sucked for me. Not because of my parents but because of the dynamic between my bro and sis. i have spent my whole life being 'piggy-in-the-middle' and still at the age of 30 I am still doing it
My mum always said she should have had 4 really, much better number, sort of evens things up!

I think DH would agree on all the financial comments on the thread [tight-arse]!

Thanks for the advice, when I say I did five miles, you do know I ddn't RUN the whole way don't you.......

Moose- I am SO looking forward to a cuddle, she sounded so excited bless her. said she finally felt like she 'had had a baby' IYSWIM

120 · 19/05/2010 21:03

Pat I never run the whole way! I run as far as I can, walk a bit, work up to a jog, work up to a sprint, then repeat. Unless its a long run, in which case I just sort of shuffle. My DB snorts when I say I go running. He is obviously very impressed and jealous.

Dog- sorry can't help you with the car-seat. As you know Z has never been a small baby and was out of his at about 9mths. I would say that if her head isn't at the top and she isn't at the weight limit then she is fine I guess

120 · 19/05/2010 21:09

I had to take H out of his carseat as he hated being backwards. I'd say if she fits and journeys are bearable, then you are doing the right thing!

Lucky you to have one that still fits in. DD is like a triffid with size 8.5 feet before her third birthday.. just hope H isn't the same. They'll be taller than me by the age of 9.

PatTheHammer · 19/05/2010 21:11

120- Thats ok then, sounds much like my efforts! Heart-rate still raised and I work up a sweat so all ok I think.

Tink- not bad, although did you really have a nice 'lynch'!!

8 teeth, wow!! The biggys are a complete nightmare. i think we had about a month of sleepless nights Z has 16 and looks like a shark

PatTheHammer · 19/05/2010 21:12

Wow that is big feet! DD only just an 8.5 now and she is 4 in 2 weeks time. It's all that organic food

moosemama · 19/05/2010 21:13

Snuck back in - should elsewhere.

Dog, dd is still in her first stage rf carseat and as you say is still miles off the upper weight limit so I feel she is safer in there, especially as we can't afford a next stage rf seat.

I too have the occasional pang about whether or not its the right thing to do, but to be honest, she is happy as larry in there and as long as she's safe and comfy, I don't think it matters.

Tink, ds1 has a dsi. It is his most treasured possession. Have you taken any photos and played with them yet? Ds loves taking pictures of peoples' faces and making them look daft.

hackneyzoo · 19/05/2010 21:16

evening....bookmarking...back soon x

treedelivery · 19/05/2010 21:18

Hi all. Bookmarking and dribbling with tiredness so can't stop.

Dog - go to physio and get a support belt called an octopus.

Great newws on the baby coming home.

HKZ - pop some food, maybe really soft fruit, in the net, then scew the net onto the holder. It sits in the green ring like a teat on a bottle. Then bubba holds the whole thing and chomps here is a pic of it in action. You can get fresh nets too.

moosemama · 19/05/2010 21:19

Ds2 was a size 8.5 up until the end of reception year, so age 5. Mind you he's gone up two sizes since then to make up for it.

moosemama · 19/05/2010 21:23

Dh and dd are semi-famous having had their pictures snapped endlessly at the festy.

I particularly like this one where dh is still wearing his caveman wig, but not the coordinating beard. (There was a world record attempt for the most fake beards worn in one place, so we all had to wear beards on Sunday - dd and I had matching pink and purple furry beards that I made myself. ) He has really short shaved hair under that wig.

You can see from the dh's under-eyes how exhausted we were.

120 · 19/05/2010 22:08

love the photo moosey. link more! must sleep, friends wedding tomorrow afternoon, en famille, with all the attendant co-ordinating. night all.

OMG! Dd just woke up and threw up the most sick I have ever seen in my life! I didn't think it was possible for that much sick to come out of one little baby.

I think her favourite, white cable knit blanket has had it too. (She had a stack of black grapes for lunch.)

That's all three of them down with it now. It seems to have a 48hr incubation period.

missjackson · 19/05/2010 22:57

Love the pic too, they look like total hippies . That wig is ace!

I can't remember anything from previous thread! Except something about running.....?

Supposed to be ttc but I think I am ovulating now and OH is away! But am drinking wine instead and appreciating the benefits of not being pg.

Had lovely day doing nothing with N. Sunny, just pottered around, and had fun.

moosemama · 19/05/2010 23:09

If you like the wig, you should've seen the beard!

The white bit on the plait is a mini bone. They were tied all throughout the wig and beard.

Lenni · 19/05/2010 23:09

Lol at your ttc attempts MissJ, wine sounds much nicer!

Dog - DS only out of infant seat last week at 16mo, 13+kg and 86cm tall. I'm thinking smiler baby has a while left in hers! I also didn't want him FF before he was stronger. Is in RF bigger seat now but I already miss the portability of the infant carrier. I wouldn't have moved him if he hadn't have gone over the weight limit. DD is over 16kg and still in RF seat, won't move her until she is 5 or 6, although she does an occasional school run in HBB when I have my nephew. I am a total obsessive over car safety. A motorcyclist died on my parents windscreen when I was little and I am permanently scarred by it. I won't even have loose bags in the car, everything has to go in the boot.

I now have an absess it seems. Bloody thing hurts. Am
not pleased.

Tries your butternut squash recipe tonight 120, was yummy.

missjackson · 19/05/2010 23:16

Yum, want to try that recipe, it looks sooooo good. Have you done 120 brownies yet? Can't remember. They have earned me an undeserved reputation around these parts as a domestic goddess

dog I agree with Lenni, why change her if she is still under weight limit?

Talking of weight, I got N to stand on the scales tonight - 12.5kg! Can anyone beat that?
