WOW! I would have thought someone would have been around by now. Its a morning tumbleweed.

Or you all are getting to sleep in this morning.

chefswife · 06/06/2010 08:54

Yes, its almost 1am and I am still up. DH is out so I've had the computer all night to myself and have been pissing around with photos. You can see some older work here if you are FB.

Morning! I've been clearing the sitting room table. Just took me two hours.

Off to look at your work.

What sort of thing do you do now Chef?

Still nursing a teary DD, it's still quite swollen. Am waiting for the bruising to arrive and hoping it doesn't. She fell off her rocking sheep Moose. She shuffles backwards off it's tail and kind of did a backwards somersault. Knew straight away it was broken as she never sits still usually and she wouldn't move for rest of evening and kept dozing off. She is being spoilt today to alieve my guilt. Can't believe she has a broken bone at 3.5.

Have been reading about Hay in Guardian this week MissJ and am seriously considering booking next year, that or Wychwood. Anyone been to Wychwood with kids?

Best make tea. Back later.

Lenni · 06/06/2010 16:02

Artwise I mean chef!

chefswife · 06/06/2010 16:25

This would be recent work even though I haven't completed anything for just over a year. With DH's schedule and the nature of the materials, its hard to get work done. Ok, excuses aside, right now I'd chose hanging with family then studio work TBH.

they are fantastic chef. Would do very well over here in Hoxton.

I've just made 123 biscuits with DD. They are so yum. Really quick and delicious shortbread.

Am feeling slightly guilty for telling DD it was bedtime at 6.30 but had to be done given the level of moaning. I was going gradually insane. Off for an early night myself after a quick read of the thread and some internet retail therapy.

120 · 06/06/2010 19:36

Oh god, you poor thing. Sounds like the way forward to me! How is she doing?

OP posts:
Lenni · 06/06/2010 19:56

It is still quite swollen - like a golfball in the centre of her right collarbone. She isn't using her arm very much so obviously painful even dosed up on paracetomol. Am going to take her to GP if swelling not gone down a bit by Tuesday morning and pain eased a bit. Has an appointment at fracture clinic a week on Monday and hopefully they will be able to tell by then if it is healing nicely. I need that bag o' guilt of Tree's! She's moaned all day of being tired and had a nap at lunchtime which is completely unheard of, do you think it is the painkillers making her sleepy?

Gosh that sounds really painful, I'm with books, I think that when you are in pain your body sort of switches off and tries to make you sleep it out so you stay still and heal. Books, that sounds nasty about your shoulder and your sis's fall. Oucha.

I have an accidental damage story too - was spinning stones on the beach at Seaton, and DD moved and my knuckled caught her forehead a full speed.

Irony was that although she cried quiet a bit, (she never normally cries, even for nettles, thorns and bloody grazes), she was fine within 10 minutes, and my knuckle swelled up and went blue. Luckily then I stopped feeling guilty and started moaning!

Off to bed having spent last 3 hours on eBay DH is going to pay (literally) for abandoning me with the kids this weekend! Have bought a gorgeous Monsoon dress BNWT, which was cheap compared to instore prices but not all that cheap compared to life in general! Oh well, I feel so much better about the whole traumatic weekend, and it could be worse, I could have gorged myself on wine and chocolate.... still time though...

120 · 07/06/2010 10:30

morning all. working today. tink, I'm pleased too that half term is over!

Dog, the only thing that helped me with that was tea, toast and mumsnet! I still have it a bit in fact. V annoying. My hour is 4am.

OP posts:
120 · 07/06/2010 10:31

that was for the insomnia, by the way, not the weeing!

OP posts:
Lenni · 07/06/2010 14:23

I've spent the morning weeping (metaphorically) about
our mobile phone bill from 3 weeks abroad. It is a frightening amount. It has already gone out of account thankfully so at least not panicking about how to pay it. Now just need to worry about how to pay for food and petrol! Feeling slightly guilty about eBay purchases now but how was I to know?!

DD seems brighter today and has been given ok to go to preschool once they've completes a risk assessment!

Dog - oh god, not the weeing all night already! I think that is just so you get used to no sleep! Horrid though. I used to snore so bad I would wake myself up in late pg. With that and weeing I wondered why I bothered going to bed!

DS up, back later.
