That would be soooo nice books! Could anyone photoshop one I wonder? Anyone got good skills?

Look closely you can see that dd2 is a pixie not a fairy. There may even be little devil pixe horns sprouting. A naughty woodland pixie with indepth knowledge of pixie rights and entitlements. A pixie who will not be bound by laws of any sort.

She's freerange my dd2. DD1 is a peaceful fairy, gaaawd bless her.

DD2 has driven us bonkers this week. She really needs to learn to talk. The constant whiney 'urh urgh ugh urgh' is drving us insane!!

Love her though. Just not the whine.

Afternoon all

Tree, gorgeous photo, your girls look like little woodland faeries.

Thanks for all the toy ideas folks. I think I will get ds to sort out a small amount of his track and a couple of trains for her (he has an embarassingly huge collection of wooden train track and accessories as well as about fifteen thousand different Thomas trains). I had forgotten how much he loved his simple train set at this age. She has a couple of the boys cars from when they were younger, but doesn't seem all that interested in them. The only one she really likes is the big noisy dumper truck, which she likes to empty and reload incessantly. She also has an In the Night Garden plastic camera that came off the front of a magazine that she likes to shove in front of her face and make 'chk chk' noises with (taking peoples' pictures). I'm tempted to buy her a nice little teaset, but think that's probably more about me than her.

We were supposed to be doing the garden today, but not only has it been chucking it down all day, the boys wrecked their bedroom and then had huge meltdowns about being told to tidy it. So dh and I have been pottering while they had to stay upstairs and get it done. It took them until 2.00 pm and even then they only finished it because I told them they couldn't have any lunch until it was done. Suffice to say their has been lots of shouting and tears in the Moose household today.

Tried that website that you can build a model of yourself and then try different styles of clothes on last night and came to the conculsion that nothing looks good on my shape so I seriously have to lose A LOT of weight. Have given myself until after the Bank Holiday to eat all the crap unhealthy food in the house then I am going to knuckle down to salads and two walks a day plus whatever other exercise I can fit in. You all have my official permission to kick my butt off here should you find me on at a time when I could be more gainfully employed burning calories. Its a big aim, but I would seriously like to be a size 12 by the time I go on holiday on the 5th August. Worst case scenario would be a smaller 14 and that's probably more realistic as I haven't actually been a 12 since my early twenties. Am really going to give it my best this time though.

moosemama · 29/05/2010 16:07

Ha ha! Cross posts I said woodland faerie, you said woodland pixie!

Dd is more in the habit of mimicking rather than talking at the moment hence the moment when she said "oh sssit" after I stubbed my toe whilst mopping the floor yesterday - oops!

She has quite a few words and phrases, but none that are all that useful iykwim. She has also mastered the word 'ow' which she uses very loudly when she doesn't want you to do something, often making it seem to strangers and passers by that you are hurting her when in fact you are just wiping her nose or strapping her into her pushchair. She also likes to use it whilst smacking you over the head or poking you in the eye.

afternoon

has been raining here 2 and freezing!!

got dd1 doodle sandals

went to sainsburys for food shop bought dd2 a dress with short sleeves and a waybuloo waterproof coat

teaandcakeplease · 29/05/2010 19:04

Pants day here, all wet and miserable. Bought DD a peppa pig scooter and she can ride it when she poo's in potty , so she tells me it's not fair but it's her prize for finally doing them on the loo and not in her knickers She's been a star at wee's today on loo. No accidents, slightly wet in her knickers at one point but she rushed to loo and finished it in there.

Any top tips for me? Bearing in mind she hides to do poo's and they're never at the same time of day and she already gets a reward usually for wee's on loo... She has such an issue with poo's from some reason.

treedelivery · 29/05/2010 19:14

Is she constipated, could they be hurting? If her poo's are large, or firm, or even not in a routine - it could be a bit of that. DD2 hid to do her poos, well, more to hold them in really. It was a sign of bigger things for us [blarrdy years of constipation in fact]. That would be my caution, she may have motives of her own.

teaandcakeplease · 29/05/2010 19:31

Definitely not constipated, her love of fruit can sometimes cause problems. IYSWIM?

She did have a poo first thing, before she went into knickers today actually But I expected her to do one more today.

120 · 29/05/2010 19:42

HZ look away, this is going to be a toilet training post.

we had BIG problems with the poos tea. sorted about 2 months after the wee. We did a choc treat for a poo. 2 for a poo on the loo (couldn't bear the scraping).

I think she confused what are called 'pops' in our nursery, for actual poo, and then got really confused. We found that if we watched her like a hawk, we could usually tell when it was coming. Even then it took 3 or 4 false starts. For some reason apple juice seems to get both of mine to go within half an hour. I found the 2-in-1 potette absolutely liberating. Shove a couple of pieces of kitchen roll in several bags, shove them in the changing kit with the potette, then she can poo wherever. I found you need to move pretty quick when it starts coming out.

sorry if that's all gross.

and here is my 'clean' post!

Tree those pics are amazing. J always looks so ephemeral in photos. And even H is looking saintly!

HZ meant to say earlier fab news that the MRI is done...

Moose, I tried that website from the SLIM thread, but couldn't get the thighs to go fat so it wasn't a true depiction!

Right. Need to stop hiding as H now down, time for DD.

Thanks 120. Had to google potette. I was thinking, what's that?

chefswife · 29/05/2010 21:46

Bookmarking... with a question. No sleep last night because I went to see a band play. DD has finally gone down for nap, after music, shopping and lunch. I know she'll be out for a while. Do I nap or give myself a manicure? Dilemma. You'd think it'd be easy. lol

Lenni · 29/05/2010 22:45

Bookmarking, phone not behaving so catch up properly tomorrow.

120 - I made butternut squash recipe for mixture of meat eaters and vegis. Was yum.

teaandcakeplease · 29/05/2010 23:11

Nap Chef!

missjackson · 29/05/2010 23:18

Too much chat! How am I supposed to keep up when it's a busy bank hol weekend and we have tons of demanding guests?

Thanks for all the lovely comments on the recent fb photos - like you tree I am blessed with a mother with a great eye and a bloody good camera. I love the pics of N, his funny little personality really comes through. Tree those pics of your babes in the woods are just amazing, like a press shot for jigsaw/ monsoon or something!

120 I am def making those balls next. If only to be able to offer my balls around - adult version sounds great.

I need that site link too please, sounds like fun!

Waves to everyone, and sorry for lack of proper catch up. I have wasted too much time flicking between eurovision and million pound drop - we hardly ever watch tv in this house, and now I know why. Off to bed now.

moosemama · 29/05/2010 23:47

The virtual model thing is here there's not a lot on there to be honest, but enough to remind me that at my current size there isn't a dress on the planet that would make me look good.

As 120 said, you can't tailor the model enough for it to be really realistic, but it still gave me a huge kick up the backside.

chefswife · 30/05/2010 01:30

lol... I know. My friend is the designers agent. When she first took her on, she set up a series of appointments with some media. They come to a hotel room to see the collection and ask questions of the designer and such. My friend rang me and asked if I would pretend that I was from Marie Claire magazine, ask a few questions, and then I would get a free dress! Apparently that is what happens. Clearly I went into the wrong business. The dress I got was from the original collection, about 3 years ago, but it still looks fab, even though my body has completely changed since being pregnant. But anyhow, the original La Dress is for every woman. I am saving for the Smoking Dress now. I get to get a fancy frock for my BIL wedding in August. I love the blue, but I'll probably get black for its versatility.

I did finally got my results of my scan. Nothing to be too concerned about, (whatever that really means, (shaking head emoticon)) but they are scheduling me another CT Scan with dye this time. Lots of waiting. I would love to do a cleanse and go from there but I can't while I'm still BF. I do the Stanley Burroughs Master Cleanse every spring and fall but then we got pregnant so haven't done it for 2 years.

Hope everyone had a beautiful weekend. Suppose to be going to see Sex in the City with a bunch of girls tonight, ( I just don't think I have it in me to go out 2 nights on the weekend...lol) but skipping out to go to dinner with other friends and their little one, M. Its really neat to see M and DD starting to play together.
