Good enough for ya dog .

And sorry I do realise some are only turning 14 mths and some are nearly 16mths etc,etc......apologies!

All officially toddlers now though i think (well 120's H and HKZ's J are pulling up/taking steps now I think, think mostly everyone walking of some sort!) Scary thought!

Gaaaawd my spelling and typos! Sorry

chefswife · 15/05/2010 16:34

Tree Buy! I'm surprised at the price though. They are a 'plague' here and are a dime a dozen. lol Too many hippies on the island...lol.

Off to music in an hour but DD is now full on feeding herself, (she will not let me help her) but the mess means we are usually showering in the morning too... we do the bath tub tap shower. lol

Hope your Saturdays were fab.

Be back later on.

Z having his first night without me staying at the MILs, I am a bit apprehensive, but apparently he is asleep without a fuss.

BF has been almost non-existent this week except the 4am feed so we thought that now was as good a time to try as any.

Good luck MIL!.

Big waves to all xx

evening all

Pat, hope you have fun.

Tree, wish to God you hadn't posted that camper. Am now following it avidly. grr.

MJ love that birth story! (and not sosecretly wish mine had been a bit more like that)

HZ - got the photos from DD's birthday! They are absolutely gorgeous and there are some great ones of all of you. Text me if you are about tomorrow; we'll probably go from the moc around lunchtime.

treedelivery · 15/05/2010 22:09

Hello.

Just ironed evrything in sight, off to bed shortly for longdsay tomorrow. DH is babysitting for friends so I am on my own! It's bliss Well, apart for the 2 ladies upstairs.

Campers seem to sell for between £8000 and £15000. Hence I haven't got one!

Books - wow to booster. I can't imagine H in one, she'd be out and off in seconds . She continues to rebel and preach on the rights of a baby at any given opportunity. Crazy baby.

tinkhasaspringinherstep · 16/05/2010 09:40

ye buy buy buy

chefswife · 16/05/2010 19:10

Books That is the best way to put it; another part of babyhood gone in flash. but

Tree OK, I gotta admit, my two favorite chores are vacuuming and ironing! They're a little piece of Zen for me. (OK, well, I gotta admit that I have a bit of a perverse love for cleaning in general... )

hackneyzoo · 16/05/2010 20:07

Wow, all you cleaning sickos! You're compounding my guilt! I don't even know where the iron is

120 Looking forward to seeing the photos, are they on FB? Went to the festy earlier, but got there about half twelve and not much was happening so we just went for a walk along the canal, lunch at the Pavilion and a long swinging session in the playground!

Tree, hope work was good.

Books...recovered? Night out sounds good.

Feel totally sick now from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep and nothing seems to help...been grumpy about it all weekend, poor DH is treading on egg shells and i am a hormonal wreck.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend and enjoyed the intermittent sunshine. Moose, good festie?

teaandcakeplease · 16/05/2010 20:30

HKZ I don't iron things Try and hang them right after washing Also only do the basics like clean kitchen and bathroom and hoover. I can't remember the last time I dusted Do you feel better?

I'm sorry you're feeling all sicky HKZ I remember those days too well. Sending you a ((hug)). Found anything that helps? I'll for go suggestions that worked for me as I think it's different strokes for different folks and all that...

Still haven't caught up properly with everything on here! Just caught sight of HKZ's post and wanted to quickly reply...

treedelivery · 16/05/2010 21:02

Poor you HKZ. I have felt utterly rubbish in my early pregnancies, so I hear ya!

I do zero house work. I do iron the girls clothes, because I like them - that's it.

Tired after long day, so off to bed after 24. Oh cannot wait!

chefswife · 17/05/2010 07:22

Once I stayed at a couple friend's home for 6 weeks, on and off, while they were in NZ. I went through their place that when they got home, they rang me to say it was like they walked into a hotel suite it was so clean and tidy. lol They loved it! I love doing it. If being an artist doesn't work out after the children are grown, I would start my own organization diva business.

teaandcakeplease · 17/05/2010 08:21

I "was" once like you Chef. After 2 kids are no sleep, I think I lost it somewhere along the way

Want to stay at mine?

Poor you hkz, that must be awful - hopefully it will pass soon. Canal, lunch, swings sounds nice - were you at Finsbury Park? Highgate woods has lovely cafe (also called the Pavilion!) and great park - we should all go when I am down next (but will have to wait for summer hols for you to be free I suppose?). How will maternity leave etc work for you this time around? Oh, exactly the same probably, as it's same due time!

We are supposed to be ttc this month but DH off on one of his big rides this week at the critical time, so no joy there!

books booster seat sounds good - I might try. N barely fits in his highchair anymore. Or maybe time for a tripp trapp at long last! Could sneak one in this week while OH away

tree come and do my ironing, and I'll clean for you. Together we would be the perfect wife! Yesterday my Mum took N, and we cleaned for 3 hours, major session, did the whole house, a proper spring clean - it really needed it. Was knackered afterwards! Went riding in the morning so not an entirely wasted day.

However, I do now have 3 laundry baskets full of things 'to put away', which will no doubt sit in the spare room for a couple of months.

Tree, Lenni, stripey, dog Am going to sell my ittis and buy some that don't leak - must just be his chunky legs or something, cos I know they work beautifully for some. They are large, barely used, red polkas, blue polkas, tiger print, and various colours... plus loads of spare booster sets if anyone is interested? Otherwise, where is best place to sell them?

Need to find other nappies now, can't bear using the disposables. Not because I am particularly eco or anything, I just love the real nappy feel yum

Waves to everyone else - sorry for crap catch up, busy weekend and now must get up and wash my hair.

120 · 17/05/2010 09:06

HZ have you tried just eating a little something every two hours? That and ginger snaps were the two things that worked for me.

Horribly huge list of things to do today so am going to try and stay off here!

Hope you all have a lovely day; I'm off for my 3 mile run.

Oh DOG. Pants to waiting. I hope his back is ok, and the others feel better soon. You must be knackered love.

Sorry, I didn't see your post - Must have got carried away . I'll probably take whatever you don't claim, and when everyone else has had a look too. Although looking at the work our joiner is putting in, I dunno! We may never eat again! He is a love and is family but obviously needs his expenses and some wages. at thought of what all this is going to cost us. He does think we might get a way without replastering the new playroom/bombsite so that would royally rock. We might just not look at the patch in the ceiling where the shower leaked. We'll just keep our eyes ahead.

Today I will get to the postoffice. I will. DD2 is off to nannas at about one, then I will dash. Then off to bed as on 2 nights. I'm not going to see dd's and dh will Wed pm . Although we will cross paths at about 6.30pm each day as I get up and they go to bed.

treedelivery · 17/05/2010 11:07

Hello to everyone else, hi Tink and tea - just have to put chair packing bag and get to the post office. I've dug it out, and that was the big task . Have a good run 120!

teaandcakeplease · 17/05/2010 11:52

Thank you Tree

Bit rubbish how long until you see DD's and DH That MW work is tough stuff. And to think I was considering doing a midwifery degree next year

Hi all

Have just read but instantly forgotten everything. I didn't know it was possible to be this tired or have so many parts of the body ache all at the same time. (And no I didn't drink at all over the weekend so its definitely not a hangover. Just old age.)

Still it was worth it. Festy was ROCKING! We had a great time, lots of sunshine (although freeeeezing when the sun went behind a cloud). Oh and -4 temperatures overnight on Saturday! Excellent music, lots of dancing with and without dd in the sling. Its a really chilled out family friendly festival with the majority of people being similar in age to us - so basically all the sad old early 90s festivallers reliving their long lost youth. All in all, a really good weekend.

New Model Army was the only letdown really, they only played one of their older songs and the rest of the stuff they played was more recent and nowhere near as good. (Or maybe we are just old fogies now, but lots of other people were saying the same thing.)

The only downside for us was that ds1 was taken ill on Saturday. Spoke to my sister by text at lunchtimeish and she didn't say anything. Then we got a text from my Mum at 9.30pm saying 'ds1 really poorly please call home asap!"! Bit of a bugger, as dh had been drinking by then, so we couldn't get home if we needed to and our friends were sleeping in our awning, so our leaving would have left them high and dry. Phoned sis and ds1 had been throwing up with a temperature since 8.30 am! She said she was coping and he was fine and we'd speak in the morning and decide whether or not we needed to rush home. When we spoke in the morning, she'd been up with him throwing up all through the night, had had no sleep and wanted to go home. Unfortunately we were blocked in where we were camping so couldn't get away. Fortunately my stepdad drove my sister home and Mum stayed at ours to have the boys. Ds1 adores his grandma and she'd never admit it, but he is her favourite, so I felt a bit happier that he was being well taken care of at least.

Then we had a big long exchange of texts with Mum insisiting I stay until after Back to the Planet at 5.00pm and me insisting on trying to get back. All academic in the end, as we couldn't get away before they were on. And they were absolutely storming, so I'm so glad I didn't miss them. A whole set of their original 90s tracks. We had a really good dance, with dd on dh's shoulders - skanking away! She looked so cute in her little ear defenders the promoters wanted to take her and dh's picture. They also asked to take one earlier when dh was wearing his caveman wig and beard and blowing bubbles for dd to chase (big debate about whether to let them take the pictures but agreed in the end) so after all the fb fuss it seems dd might be going to find fame anyway.

Anyway, got home at 9.00 ish and ds1 was asleep on the sofa with Mum sitting in the rocking chair and he had a raging temperature, which wasn't responding to calprofen (he throws up if we give him calpol when he has a temp). He is proper poorly, has slept all morning and just come down to curl up on sofa. We are alternating calpol and calprofen now, by giving the calpol in 2.5 mil doses over a 3/4 hour period and his temp has come down a bit.

So much for his blood test being redone this morning. It will just have to wait now.
