Good enough for ya dog .

And sorry I do realise some are only turning 14 mths and some are nearly 16mths etc,etc......apologies!

All officially toddlers now though i think (well 120's H and HKZ's J are pulling up/taking steps now I think, think mostly everyone walking of some sort!) Scary thought!

Moose - you have put me to shame. What a truly amazing party, sooooo much effort. Love the footprint and the party bags are incredible. What I cannot get over though (still sat here going "WOW!") is the alien cupcakes!!! and the silver bomb. Absolutely jaw droppingly amazing.

Right, am off on my hols

moosemama · 13/05/2010 17:20

Aw thanks Lenni.

Alien cupcakes were sooo easy to do. Simple but effective really and the bomb took me about 15 minutes to decorate.

Thanks for checking it works.

Have a fantastic holiday.

treedelivery · 13/05/2010 19:03

Oh My God Moose! I always knew it, and those pictures prove it - your boys nad your girl are so so so so lucky to have you.

Bloody hell woman - can you imagine the memories they will have when they are grown? And how they will parent themselves? You are a role model.

Big crappola to the bloods. However ds1 can eat what he likes all weekend, and you can go on your break knowing it is all in the name of collecting evidence.
Have a great great time.

Am in total awe at the cakes. The bomb is inspired and my dd1 would heart those hairy cakes

Have great holidays Lenni, weather looks promising for all of you. x

hackneyzoo · 13/05/2010 19:39

Just a flyby...but Moose...all I have to say is .AMAZING! Wow wow wow! You are very clever...what fab parties and cakes... especially the alien cupcakes.

moosemama · 13/05/2010 19:44

Tree, the parties are good memories - true, but I screw it up in so many other ways that I have to work hard to make specific/special occasions really count. If ds1 in particular parents like me, his poor dcs will need to constantly wear ear defenders.

Its actually the third bomb I've baked. The other two were chocolate though.

All you need for the hairy cakes is one of these icing tips. They are such fun to play with. I really want to do a whole 3d teddy bear using mine.

We are nowhere near organised for tomorrow. Dd is pretty much packed, but I have now officially run out of steam, so am sitting down for five minutes.

treedelivery · 13/05/2010 19:52

HKZ - I haven't got your address. Didn't you say you had messaged me Where has t gone!?!?!?

Moose. Not having any of it. Sorry mate. And ear defenders look darn cute on bubbas anyway

Was at after school thing with dd1 tonight - not bad on 3 hours sleep, am surprised I made it - and a lady there has just bought a T3 [I think] It iso ff to get converted and get it's pop top, rock and roll bed, cooker etc put in. ALl brand new.

Oooooh imagine.

P.S. saw all this and thought of you and your van.

120 · 13/05/2010 20:04

Evening all.

OMG Moose! Your creativity knows no bounds. Those little aliens. I want one! The boys must have had a fabulous time.

Glad you got your parcel so quickly and like them . Have a great festy, the weather is looking good for it!

Hangover still with me and have just managed my first meal of the day. Twas a good evening though.

moosemama · 13/05/2010 20:13

Tree. I tried to persuade dh to get some camper accessories in that CK print - lets' just say he wasn't exactly enthusiastic!

Thanks 120. Hope the hangover departs soon. Just realised I haven't left you glowing feedback on ebay yet. Will try and do it before we go.

Right have to go, dd is screaming the place down. Just what I need when I have a van to pack - not!

chefswife · 13/05/2010 21:23

Moose I can't view your pictures; it says you haven't made them public. What am I doing wrong. I want to see the 'hairy' cakes... lol!

120 DH and I were talking awhile back about being afraid to have too many drinks because we were scared of the hangover now.

I am so not going to drop off the drycleaning. Sod it. I'm going to sit around on my ass... and play with DD.

moosemama · 13/05/2010 21:46

Chef, I have been and checked. There was a typo in your name. Have corrected it so you should be able to see them now. Sorry.

I have completely given up on packing. The van has only just this minute arrived back from the mechanics, dd is awake and clingy/poorly and I am just too knackered to do anything.

Will probably be midnight before we get away tomorrow at this rate.

missjackson · 13/05/2010 21:48

Haven't read a thing, about to go back and read thread, but just wanted to tell you this before I have to go again (N not very well and not sleeping well)... So..... we have been waiting for N's latest cousin to be born, was 10 days overdue (2nd baby). Mum & Dad (OH's cousin) run a pub near Hay. So she starts having contractions, quite quickly 3-4 mins apart, they call the hospital and they say, come in or wait a bit longer. Mum says, I want to go in now. Dad goes down to show staff how to lock up. Mum goes to loo. OMG, head is born! She calls to Dad - he runs up, checks head, runs back down to call midwives. Runs back up - baby is already born! Healthy baby boy, just over 8lbs! I just can't believe she gave birth all by herself - and this is a woman who was determined to have an epidural in the hospital! Instead she did it all alone in a bathroom on a couple of paracetamol!

OK, off to read the thread now.

missjackson · 13/05/2010 22:01

Wow, MM photos are brilliant - amazing cakes, and what cuties your lot are! Lovely to see DD too, she is so pretty.

120 hangover, ouch. But sounds like a fab night. You need one of those once in a while.

tree you sound like you are functioning well on major sleep deprivation. Hope you find a good festival - 5 hours sounds like a long drive. Have a look at green man, tis near me so you would have a hot shower and comfy bed option! It's brilliant, sort of bluegrass folky stuff, and very family friendly. But as with all festivals, if it rains, it sucks.

lenni my headline is that I ended up saying no to the job. . Feel terrible about the whole thing, completely torn, but I had to give them an answer. The rota just didn't work very well, and meant I had about 20 trips to and from London, or had to stay down there more often and then was away from OH and home just too long. I need to make it work here. Plus I want to enjoy my summer and take N on some fun trips and make another baby hopefully . ALSO the celeb version was just so perfect and brilliant, it was a good note to end on, iykwim... Anyway, hope we get to see you soon, it's been too long!

Waves to hkz (hope you are feeling better after sickie yesterday!) ) dog, tea, chefswife and everyone else - sorry for lack of proper catch up. Am knackered after the funeral yesterday - thanks for all lovely thoughts - but feel really good, sort of cleansed and high on life again, which I needed. Cooked for 24 people tonight! All went well but must drink red wine now and sleep.

teaandcakeplease · 13/05/2010 22:09

Been super busy and need to go to bed, so will try and catch up tomorrow.

Just tried to see your pictures of hairy cakes Moose, but it didn't work for me Really hope things go well and you get away tomorrow at a good time.

Will try and catch up properly with everyone's news tomorrow.

moosemama · 13/05/2010 22:12

That's strange Tea, I added you to my mn mates when I uploaded them. Will go and see what the problem is now.

moosemama · 13/05/2010 22:17

Just checked and you were definitely on my mn mates list, all spelled right as well. Have deleted and added you again to see if that makes any difference.

I think it plays up a bit the first time you try. Did it take you to a page where it asks you to log in again? It did that to Lenni and me as well. Tech said this is a glitch across the whole of mn and they are working on it. If you log in, it says something weird about it being Tech's profile page, ignore that and click on photos and you should be able to see them. I think.

Harrumph! Everyone else on mn's photo gallery works properly. Why do these things always happen to me.

chefswife · 14/05/2010 00:17

Moose Beautiful cakes and party ideas! DD is adorable. Is that a recent picture?

I don't have anything to say. Guess there's a first time for anything.

tinkhasaspringinherstep · 14/05/2010 11:08

wow mm - you are super talented
and party looks great
good on you

hav

have a great weekend

miss j - wow what an entrance to the world!! that must nave been a shock !!!

went off to mothercare and bought happyland for dd2,socks and a bath foam fairy set for dd1

treedelivery · 14/05/2010 12:39

Agree - you have to clck on Moose twice before it lets you view. She wants to see dedication and perseverance [sp?]!

So MissJ, well done on your choice - I'm glad to hear all the fabby plans you have for summer. Apparently we are going to get a good summer, so you can a have a glorious time being a mummy [and a fun time baby making!]. Also good to go out on a high as you say. A positive move, good on ya.

Hope the packing goes well moosy. I soooooo wish we had a van. Enjoy, although I know the packing is a mare. It's so confusing and demoralising if isn't organised and kept 'tight'. But that takes time and major energy - which no one has.
You will have a blast though.

Hello to all, hiya Tea. Hoping to get your chair off today. SOrry for being so inept
Car broke down aoutside school so didn't get home til 10.30. By which time H had slept so I am waaay behind and house is a tip.

SO good news here:
Washing is out, and dd2 has fallen asleep again She has been sick 3 tmes so maybe fighting a bug.

DH's store for his 5 bikes nearly built. That means back room can be emtied just a lttle bit more, which means we are a little bit nearer to stripping the plaster off ready fot the damp course, replastering and turning into a playroom by means of magic fairy dust.
A slow long road! Have no idea how will pay for plasterer or a damp course

Time is passing, we are nearer starting paving. Which is important as the weather is nice [although we are in a wind tunnel and that is less good].

The photographs we had done as a Christening Pressi [you might remember them, dd1 with her moo and dd2 in her gown - they are on fb], well the company rang to say they are havng a clear out and found a massive print they had done by accident. It's ours for free or we can have it framed at cost for £70 or something.
After much deliberation have said big fat yes to that. The only frame that is not very modern is a wide oak type one, which is fine though not our immediate choice. But at that price......!! It's about 600x800 size, and shows dd2 holding dd1's silver rattle up to her. DD1 actually has her back to camera, which sounds odd - but you get a great view of her big bow on the gown, and her bonnet, and her cute nape of neck.
It will go at top of stairs next to photo of me in my wedding dress, taken from above so you can only see top of my head and the gown's train

Am certainly into heads

I have a thing about babies heads especially, very lovely.

No work till Sunday [then on for lots of shifts] and dh is home in an hour. Yay!

He got me a recycled glass vase with stocks in for our anniversary, as well as that scarf form the white stuff last week. Am in bed with dd2 asleep on me, I can smell them from here

Apologies for mega post

hackneyzoo · 14/05/2010 13:01

Hello....am soooooooooo exhausted...falling asleep in the office at work.

MissJ SOunds like you've got a good summer in mind...the commuting did sound quite a lot, and I can't imagine a nice place to be spending the summer than where you live Are you going to be in London soon?

Tree Enjoy your days off, thats jammy with the pic. I am still smouldering over the fact there is not a single pic of DH and me by ourselves on our wedding day! I have a small boy velcroed to my side in every one

Moose have a good weekend away, hope its not too freezing.

Jude has got his next MRI scan at GOSH on 28th, got the appointmemnt through yeastrday, then results a week later. SO hoping that nothing has grown (or even better its shrinking) and we can carry on monitoring...feeling a little nervous again, but he really is doing well, using his arm loads now and getting the hand of standing morwe and cruising. The eating is still a big problem...but would rather he had a while longer on a liquid diet than chemo or interferon...so every cloud and all that.

DD is now progressing throgh the terrible threes. I thought these days were behind us, but she has been a whinge bad extrodaniaire the last fortnight and soooooooooooooo bossy. More discipline is called for! How do I reduce bossiness in a 3 year old? (I have a strong bossy gene)

A good friend of mine is due a week before me, I met her last night and we both nearly puked at the smell of coffee and looked at each other and said..oh are you pregnant? Will be quite nice having someone about to moan with!

120 have you recovered from your hangover yet? I only allow myself one hangover a month...I can't cope with them anymore...I'm past it at 31! Oh well, 9 months of tee totalness will sort me out...trying to make DH abstain in support, he's not buying it though.

Oh MissJ, crikey, what a birth story...don't know how I missed that one! A friend of mine gave birth in the passenger seat on the motorway in January! Eeek.

treedelivery · 14/05/2010 13:07

I need your address HKZ!

dd2 just awake and mega grumpy

treedelivery · 14/05/2010 14:03

Back in bed with dd2. She tired again already, and having some bottle so we'll see.

HKZ - I'm glad you have a friend to go along wwith. Lovely.
Good luck for the MRI. Everything crossed, it sounds like he is doing really well.

I nearly fried the laptop! The duvet fell over it and covered the fan. It's whirring like crazy now, so will hopefully cool. EEk!

chefswife · 15/05/2010 06:07

HKZ How awesome to have someone else to be pregnant with.

Tree Ooh... terrible three's... I certainly have no advice but wish you the best of luck.

MissJ DH and I had a laugh at the birth story. Truly amazing! I can't wait to tell the Ladies at music tomorrow.

This morning, DD was restless at 5am and when she's like that, I bring her back to bed with us and she falls back to sleep and usually sleeps till 8 instead of her usual 7.15, right on the money. So this morning, DD rolls over after we all fell back to sleep and helps herself! Cheeky! What a way to be woken up! She was out of sorts all day and pined for boob and had a couple good naps. She was her usual self at dinner. The last few nights DD's been BF but not going to sleep so I put her to bed awake, , and pat her a bit till she's almost asleep and its going well. I guess we are heading to a new stage.

Sorry, that was a bit of a ramble.

Enjoy you Saturday, Darlings.

Hello everyone.

dd2 still haveing lots of sleeps bless, but is eating a bit so must be ok. We have been to a Princess Belle party today. Dd1 hardly kows who she is, as she doesn't like Disney much - but the party is great. The lady can really sing and does little games. The birthday girl really loved it, you could tell she really believed that Prncess Belle had really and truly turned up tp sing to her. Lovely.

t was fancy dress, in amongst all the princesses dd1 was supergirl. Which is an improvenmnet on last princess party where she was a pirate

I embrac her indivduality [and force dd2 into tutu and wings to exercise my girlie needs] DD2 lasted 3 mins in her wings, and 30 seconds in the headband. SHe dd keep her tutu on the whole time - which is progress.

Hope the holiday makes are havng a great time.

Books - had to smile at you feeling hungover run down in Tesco. Must remember that one

Chef - lol. New stage on the horizon, it's ever changing isn't it. My dd2 still shouts and roars when she see's mine and points and jjumps up and down. Right now she is asleep on my chest, with her arm down my top. SHe craves skin to skin so the memory must be hard wored into her brain. That's nice I think. It's lovely to be still feeding, I wish dd2 could have carried on. But she had to stop and eggy lady is very pregnant so her sacrifice was well worth it! I'll tell her when she's older, I think it's a nice message to hear.

Work tomorrow. Must iron uniforms, tidy house ready for 7am Monday blast off. My lounge is like a bedsit

DH is painting the shelves and partitions under the stairs [that the clothes rails are attached too] Cant wait to get the coats and shoes put back. They are currently dumped nt he playroom and getting on my nerves. DD1 has 6 coats. That's ridiculus! SHe never seems to grow out of things, so she has some from when she was 3

AM wearing new skirt from ebay Boden. It rocks! Their stuff was much better for us lot a few years ago. The new zingy&primary colours are lush, but don't realy sut me or my gals. I got this I was hoping it would be a bit loose but sadly it's a perfect fit.

SHall I buy this and put myself out of my misery? If I went full time I could pay it off in a year or so.....
