Good enough for ya dog .

And sorry I do realise some are only turning 14 mths and some are nearly 16mths etc,etc......apologies!

All officially toddlers now though i think (well 120's H and HKZ's J are pulling up/taking steps now I think, think mostly everyone walking of some sort!) Scary thought!

Morning

Hope you got to school ok this morning Tree.

No Lenni, no news yet. We can't ring our surgery for results until after 2.30 pm and you have to keep ringing then redialling to get through. So far this week I haven't managed it. If you don't call they usually send you a letter saying you need to arrange a telephone consultation to discuss the results, which then means you can ring at a time that doesn't clash with the school run and post school chaos. Am hoping I'll get a letter today, if not, I'll have to keep trying to get hold of them in the afternoons. Its a ridiculous system, they won't even discuss results with you if you ring before 2.30!

Forgot to say yesterday. I spent the whole evening the other day uploading party photos for you guys to see. Unfortunately, there's some sort of problem and despite selecting viewable by my mn mates they won't show up. Have contacted MN Towers and they are getting Tech to look into it for me. They think its a glitch in the system.

Well, dd is still really poorly. Had to use both Calpol and Calprofen to keep her temp down through the night and she's really snotty, clingy and refusing to eat this morning. She even refused her porridge - first time ever. She's just got off the sofa for the first time today, hence my being able to mn for a few minutes.

I actually switche the laptop on to type up a list of useful information for my sister ready for the weekend. I tried to write it down quickly, but apparently underestimated how much information I would need to pass on for her to look after 2 boys and three dogs for us.

treedelivery · 12/05/2010 14:04

Hi all. Oh Moose I hope you get some news soon. Maybe leave it until after the festival and then you won't have result to think about? Or would it be better to know?

Poor dd, hope she picks up soon. Poor litle woman.

Mine has just gone with the pil and I am in bed having a little lunch then hopefully about 3 hours sleep before night duty tonight. Have the school nurse in the morning, so I need to be semi-functional. It's to discuss dd1's constipation, I want to formalise the importance of encouraging her to drink, and sending her to the loo if she's hiding/trembling/pale/tearful/irratable.

Am thinking of booking tickets for Harvest at Jimmy's. It's about 5 hours drive, but they are all miles away. Looked at camp bestival but £155 for 1 adult is totally crazy. Plus Jimmy's is 50% about food - and I like that
Looking at renting a VW again. I can't resist! Would be about £450. A yurt is the same, but not half as much fun

treedelivery · 12/05/2010 14:06

Moose, it you, dh and dd going to the festi, or all of you? Lookng forward to seeing the pictures you uploaded.

Hello everyone, hey Tink.

moosemama · 12/05/2010 14:23

I think you might be right about leaving the results till next week actually Tree. Hadn't thought of it like that, but we are keeping him on gluten until the test results and also because it wouldn't be fair for my sister to look after him while he is going through withdrawal. So, it makes little difference what the results are until next week now anyway.

Part of me really wants to know either way though.

Yep, just me, dh and dd going along with our friends who have the dh with a snapped achilles tendon and a couple of other friends from waaaay back.

No news on the photo problem at the moment. Its so frustrating as it took me literally all night to upload them and only I can see them! Actually I should get my backside into gear and upload some of the better ones I couldn't be arsed to use because they needed cropping/rotating etc. Some of the best ones I couldn't use at all as they have lots of other peoples' dcs on them.

Dd has just eaten half a piece of toast and butter and is finally drinking something. I was starting to fret.

I had better go and dry my hair before the school run, I've had a towel turban thing on for hours now and my hair takes a whole day to dry naturally.

Aargh! Just remembered, its two school runs today thanks to flippin Chess Club.

Enjoy your lunch and hope you have a quiet night at work. x

treedelivery · 12/05/2010 14:43

Yes I remember now. Oh you'll have such a fun time
I'm glad she's eating&drinking. Phew!

tinkhasaspringinherstep · 12/05/2010 16:14

120 · 12/05/2010 18:02

Evening all, no time to stop and read as DD's birthday and been at Zoo all day and now doing cake/supper/bed routine.

Just wanted to let Moosey know I posted it off this morning. Tree, Octa has been in touch and seems very interested.. thank you!!

Have babysitter tonight (hopefully) so once we've got them down I'm off out. Will try and catch up tomorrow!

Hope you have a good night all x

chefswife · 12/05/2010 19:31

Good Day Ladies.
Moose Good to hear DD is feeling a wee bit better; as soon as they start to eat, you know its getting better.

There's been a hand, foot and mouth breakout at my friend's LO's daycare and her DS is in a real poorly state with it, sores around his mouth and fever and just overall blahness. She let us all know because we get together Saturday mornings for music and he would've been contagious then. DD has a slight blemish that has been hanging around her mouth the last couple days but otherwise is fine, thank goodness. She is so healthy. Not even a cold since she was born. We had a week of allergies last month, but that wasn't so bad, just runny eyes and loads of sneezing... sneezing makes DD giggle. I guess she likes the adrenaline rush. lol. Last night though she was up every couple of hours and was quite upset but she would fall back to sleep with a pat on her back so maybe she was just having big dreams all night. We had a very busy day... well, we walk her everywhere now, so that really tuckers her out.
I had a nice Mother's Day. My girlfriend came around and we had brunch, which DH made before leaving for work, and drank rose bubbly. We sat outside all afternoon as the sun was finally shining. The best Mother's Day gift was when DD crawled into bed with me in the morning and looked right at me and said, in her sweet little voice, "Mama" and gave me a kiss. I was so lovely and touching. Makes everything melt away. [smiley-teary eyed emoticon here]

chefswife · 12/05/2010 19:32

120 Hope you got out and about tonight!

Lenni · 12/05/2010 21:45

Chef you are so lucky to have a healthy little
DD. My DS is constantly I'll, I blame having DD at school. When she was his age we didn't come into contact with all these bugs. I'm constantly ill too -in fact DD is the only one who doesn't seem to get everything

Moose - hope you managed to get through to the doctors.

I'm cleaning and packing this evening, the joy. Will have phone on hols though so not going anywhere!

Made butternut squash lasagna for tea, will put
pic on fb, looked so yum, tasted good too! Should explain my fb photos obsession btw -my Nan adores the DCs and atm can't travel to see them but she has a fb account so I have to keep her going with a steady stream of photos of the DCs.

Lenni · 12/05/2010 21:46

ill damned predictive text!

Lenni · 12/05/2010 21:48

Missed your latest post Moose, have a great time this weekend.

missjackson · 12/05/2010 22:15

Hey everyone, just popping in to wave hello after long and emotional day saying goodbye to my grandfather with the funeral . It was a brilliant ceremony with the humanist celebrant leading us, very personal, and we all cried buckets.

Lenni good luck with packing, and have a fab time on hols - remember to stop by if you are close! Or tell me if you are visiting pat and I will come too.

120 have fab night

Will catch up properly tomorrow.

120 · 12/05/2010 23:57

mj am thinking of you. sounds like you celebrated his life properly.

fab night had here. all beer, no food. good to realise one can be irresponisble and life contitnues regardless. currently trying to rectify hangover with random delicious toasted versions of uneaten zoo sandwiches in the hope tomorrow won't be a complete nightmare.

realise the two paragraphs above are a bit of an oxymoron and feel awkward trying to say anything after what mj has gone through.

night all

chefswife · 13/05/2010 01:37

MissJ That nice to hear that the funeral was brilliant and that there were buckets on hand for the tears... tears of celebration for your grandpa.

lenni Don't worry about all the FB pictures. All our relatives are back east but all have FB accounts and it makes it so easy to post pictures and everyone can look and comment on the same ones, instead of trying to get copies and mailing them all, etc. Pain in the ass^

120 Sounds like you had a good night out.

Had a knacker of a day. Took a different way to the recreation centre along a regional trail system that was not marked or indicated where the trail picked up after it came out in behind a public school and anyone I saw didn't seem to know either. Don't people walk in their neighbourhoods anymore? Anyhow, I found it. Long story short, the short way isn't so short, even if you don't get lost. It was such a bloody trip to go for a relaxing swim and hot tub and after all that, I forgot to drop off the dry cleaning I hauled down there and back so guess what I'll be doing tomorrow... not taking the 'short way', that's for sure.

chefswife · 13/05/2010 06:47

Thought I'd swing around before heading to bed but there's no one around... why would you be, its only 6.45 your time! Hopefully you are all still snug in bed. I'm off to my snuggy bed. Mmmm I love bedtime... especially now that DD is marathon night sleeper! Good morning to you all and good night.

120 · 13/05/2010 07:17

what a day chef! hope you are now nice and snug.

I'm definitely hungover.

moosemama · 13/05/2010 12:32

Hi

Just a flypast, am supposed to be packing.

Just wanted to say 120 thank you so much for the posters, they arrived this morning. I love them and dd loves the bib - although her bunny is currently wearing it and she isn't keen for me to take it off him. I have decided to have the posters framed for one of my birthday presents. They are going to look lovely in my kitchen and really brighten the place up.

Thanks Tree, am feeling both nervous and excited about it now. Packing today and we're off tomorrow morning.

You need to decide which one you are going to go to and book it so that you have something to look forward to.

Sleep well.

tinkhasaspringinherstep · 13/05/2010 15:43

have a great time mm

moosemama · 13/05/2010 16:21

Aaaaargh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dh decided he wanted to get ds1's results before we go away this weekend. So I rang and finally managed to get through to the surgery, only to be told that the phlebotomist didn't send enough blood to be tested so they only did the full blood count and not the coeliac test. We have to repeat the whole thing next week! I am so I could burst!!!!!!!!!

Rather worryingly there was a note on his file saying the doc wants us to book an appointment to discuss his blood count though. Apparently its not urgent but doc wants to see him/us within the next 4 weeks. I presume he is low in iron.

Right, now I have finished shouting. Could someone please do me a favour, go to my profile and see if they can see my photos of the boys parties by clicking on the new link that Tech has very kindly given me. If I click on it it just asks me to log in, so I can't confirm to him that is all working now.

Lenni · 13/05/2010 17:13

Moose - it doesn't work. If I log in it just goes through to Tech's profile page.

Horrible news about the blood tests, Lots of hugs, have a fab time at the festival. On the good side at least he has had plenty more gluten so more chance of a positive result, so glad you didn't take him off it this week.,

MissJ - Glad funeral was good and you have said goodbye in a lovely way. Will certainly come and visit you and Pat sometime soon, won't be this time though, we are doing a flyby visit at my Mums and then need to be home quick as DH needs to work. I'll be down again soon though as haven't got any work now until September so need to kill some time. When does your contract start?

Lenni · 13/05/2010 17:15

Oh - it works now. How bizarre. Ohhhhh, photos of your DCs!!!! Off to look.
