MissJ, I'm so sorry. As Pat said, its natural for you to be feeling the loss. Please, be kind to yourself and remember we're all here to support you.

Sending huge hugs.

mj hugs and all.

Do we have a new thread?

PatTheHammer · 05/04/2010 18:58

Not yet Chef, usually everyone (including me) too scared to think of a title!

Dog- Lol at Bethy's 'mishap!' sounds like something my DD would do. Don't think I mentioned last time we were at Slimbridge she fell in the mucky duck water when she was trying to do the steping stones. Her tights got soaked and she had to spend the rest of the day in just wellies

MissJ- hope you are ok today and not feeling too unwell.

We have had a lovely day at Berkeley Castle, where they had an Easter fun-day on, craft, egg-humt, face-painting and all that gubbins. Then I made a morrocan beef stew and cous-cous which DD ate without complaining (usually moans big-time about beef!) so thats a good day! Can't wait for DH to go back to work tomorrow though, nice to have him here but, he gets DD a bit riled up iykwim and she is so much better with just me

Ohh, just thought of thread title, back in a bit!!!!!

New thread here

What's the betting you all jump ship before I get this one typed now I've said that, lol.

Evening all.

Very slow Easter weekend here. Dh managed to pass his horrible lurgy onto me and fortunately felt bad enough about it to wait on me pretty much hand and foot since last Friday. I have used the time to research how best to make his cake (cartoon style bomb complete with red sparkler fuse) and create the clues for the 'mission' the kids are doing at his party. To be honest I am far more worried about ds2's space shuttle cake as I think he's kind of expecting it to be pretty realistic.

The dcs bought me a lovely Thorntons Special Toffee egg iced with Happy Easter Mummy and dh bought me a giant toblerone. Unfortunately this virus has brought with it some sort of horrible spots all through my mouth, even the inside of my lips, so its not much fun eating at the moment.

Ds2 had more Easter eggs than one child could possibly eat in a year and ds1 was given a ridiculous amount of sweets as he has a sensory thing going on with chocolate. Dd had one small chocolate bunny and a cuddly bunny toy. She hasn't eaten the bunny though, as we have a no-chocolate under the age of two rule here (mainly based on my terrible chocolate addiction I have to admit ).

We are having a dreadful time with ds1. He is like a completely different child since going back onto gluten. Far worse than he was even before he came off it originally. Even dh has come to the end of his tether and we are thinking we might have to cancel the test and just take him back off gluten again as soon as the birthday parties are over. I really don't see how he can cope with a whole term at school in his current state. Its impossible to get his attention, he's on a ridiculously short fuse and really upsettingly has lost most of his facial expressions so has this odd deadpan look about him. He's honestly unrecognisable as our lovely boy.

Darn it - I knew that would happen!
