Morning ladies

I am tired! Worked a long day in Bristol yesterday which meant I left my house at 6am and didn't get home until just after 9.30pm. I am whacked! Still, the money is very good so I shouldn't grumble about it

And I am loving these burns night emoticons so will use them far too much just for today and tomorrow!!

I cannot believe that Luke has had his birthday already. Oooggs, hope he enjoyed his pub lunch

As for the swine flu jab, I think I will let F have it because she is very prone to chest infections, and any type of viral cold she gets always goes to her chest which makes me think swine flu could make her very unwell if she was to get it. Having said that, seasonal flu could cause her the same trouble I suppose.

I am off now, have recorded dancing on ice which I intend to watch in peace before I have to go and pick up F from nursery. Bye for now

hi everyone
at your long day SB
A is sitting up for about 10s at a time i think she's such a chubby little thing she can just be plonked down!

Doobydoo · 25/01/2010 19:43

Hi All.Have nearly finished my clinical hours.Have applied for 3 jobs and passed first nasogastric tube for 12 years in a 4 week old today!
Does anyone fancy writing my 8 essays for me?They are due in 23rd FebI will pay!!!!!This is a sort of joke but I am dreading it.Glad to see all are trucking along

Bramshott · 26/01/2010 10:53

Oh bollocks. Our new sofa won't fit into the living room. DH currently trying to chisel parts of the doorframe off! Why are sofas so bloody big these days?!?

ScarletBandit · 26/01/2010 12:03

Bramshott, the same thing happened to my parents, but luckily for them they have big French doors at the front which go straight into the lounge so they brought the sofa in through there. It would never have gone through the normal lounge doorway. Hope you get it in there soon.

Dooby, well done to you! Passing NG tubes is one of my very least favourite jobs to do in work.

ScarletBandit · 27/01/2010 11:45

Wow, no messages since I was here yesterday
Hope everyone is ok x

StealthPolarBear · 27/01/2010 16:36

hi all
where is dippy this week?

Sexonlegs · 27/01/2010 17:36

Hi there. Am here but being lazy!

Been trying to buy B a new wardrobe on line which has taken a lot of surfing. Have now ordered one thankfully. So should have more MN time.

Bramshott, how is the sofa situation??

SB, have you recovered from your mad shift??

Where is everyone???

All ok here. Fretting somewhat as the sister of someone at B's school has not been given a place for this September as they haved moved out of catchment since their dd1 joined. We are out of catchment and always have been!!!

Can't bear the thought of them being at different schools- a logistical nightmare.

Anyway, need to hoover and clean the kitchen floof as it is mucky! What joy xx

Bramshott · 28/01/2010 09:10

Just popping by before taking O to pre-school (we have reached week 3, where she is NOT so keen to go !), and then the dreaded swimming run with N and her class

Sofa is still in the dining room . One side of the doorframe is off - the other one still to go! Luckily we are never moving house again, because once it's in, clearly it's not coming out again!

CaptainDippy · 28/01/2010 12:20

I'm here!! Hello!

How is everyone?

Hectic in DippyLand as always. P is potty training and doing so well Few wee accidents each day; but no poo accidents AT ALL, which is always good in my book

oooggs · 31/01/2010 13:03

afternoon - James' tooth is out and Luke sleep all night so no teething problems there last night - what is the going rate for the tooth fairy?

Bramshott · 31/01/2010 19:52

Here it's £1 Oooggs - that's inflation over 30 years for you! Congrats to James.

Well the sofa is in - hooray! Still looks bloody big though - think we may have bought a monster sofa ! I expect we'll get used to it - at least we will all be able to watch TV in comfort!

How's everyone else?!

O had little friend from pre-school to play on Monday afternoon - so cute, and soooo grown up!

CaptainDippy · 03/02/2010 12:53

Awwwwww Bramshott! We've got DD1 and DD2's little bestest friend coming over for tea after school today as it was her Birthday yesterday and they want to hold a little "party" for her. Have made a wee cake and everything. Cute

OP posts:
oooggs · 03/02/2010 21:42

hello ladies - friend popped in last night. nearly two bottles of wine later and nearly midnight she went home (very late for me!!!) dh thought it was his birthday as she left he walked in.

I had a hangover this morning - can't remember the last time that happened

Hope all is well - trying to organise a party for dts - a 3rd birthday (obviously!!) and leaving party (from nursery) as they are 3 on 29 Martch (mon) and leave nursery 31 March (wed) so have the party Sunday 28th in the afternoon, about 20 children (well there is two of them).

How do you do food? Buffet, food boxes - what has worked?

Where is everyone???? I have been lurking around on other threads and have seen loads of the old crew but they never pop in here. Must been too boring for them

CaptainDippy · 04/02/2010 12:50

I am afraid to admit I am VERY cheeky and ask everyone coming to bring a plate of savoury food and DH and I provide the pudding / cake. I have to say, it works very well. I think food boxes are a good idea though: sandwich, crisps, choc bar and fruit for each child; then cake in party bag. I like organising parties. It's fun!

Right, nearly time to pick up P from pre-school - eeeek! xxx

Sexonlegs · 04/02/2010 22:00

Evening all

Apologies for absence; no time for anything these days any more although I am addicted to Farmville on Facebook!!

Oooggs, you are brave! I'd do food boxes; sandwiches, crisps, carrot/cucumber sticks etc

Are the dt's going to pre school then? Does the nursery not have a preschool setion?

Hi Dippy

Where is everyone???

Had a bit of news re Mum. Sadly a few more small tumours have developed in her lungs, so they are going to change the type of chemo she is on. She is gong to lose her hair I spoke to her this afternoon and she said it had come as quite a shock. Feel so sad about it.

Anyway, on that miserable note, I'll be off to bed. Have a hectic time ahead painting bedrooms and moving stuff about!!

Love to you all xx
