Ali - don't mean to sound dim, but what's an innocent heart murmur? Hope Docs are helping you keep on top of his health.

Very sorry to spoil the club, but no weightloss for me. I was wearing clothes when I weighed myself this time... that will account for somehing surely?

If we are playing bad night poker... I'll see your waking up extra and annoying other halfs, and raise you a toilet covered in poo. DS1 didn't quite make it in time, and managed to cover seat, child seat thing, footstool, and floor. I can't get too cross about accident, but the fact he didn't tell anyone and just went back to bed left me to find and clear up the mess at midnight when DD finally went to sleep. I then felt ill for rest of night...ugh i hate poo.

Easter holidays start today for us, so no sneeky nap for me either

whensmydayoff · 29/03/2010 15:09

Sorry, I do this backwards - read all the posts on other pages after I have posted .

verycherry Luca is a brilliant feeder, wow 5-10 mins. He is up alot but at least it's quick though. Bet your still knackered anyway!

maygirl I think she is getting too big for her basket. She sleeps on her tummy with the basket wedged up at head end because of reflux and was happy with this but now she hates sliding down I think.
I saw her last night trying to push against the bottom to get back up but her wee legs and feet were shooting in the air too high to push against it IYSWIM. She was getting so irrate!!

Well done to all the loosers in Fat Club, hee! Inches are even better

Away to get tape measure.

albiesmummy · 29/03/2010 15:31

well done all you ladies for some fab weight losses!

very cherry my lo sleeps exactly like yours..i actually thought it was quite good until i read how well others babies are doing, ignorance is bliss i suppose. Albie is asleep by 7 with his night time bottle then goes till 12-1 ish (used to be two but has reverted!!! then roughly 4.30-5.30 then he gets up around 7.30ish! Exhausted...me...never! the major problemwe have is that ds refuses to nap during the day, uurgh drainer!

on the weight loss front my scales are bust but i think im pretty much the same...will need to replace soon. CTFN do what i did on wednesday...give the baby to dh, grab the car keys and do a runner!!!! it felt so good just to have three hours to myself, although i did buy something for dh and ds as i felt guilty.

had our HV check up...albie a fine weight of 12lb 12 1/2 oz and 62 cm (hes 12 weeks) so all good on that front. hv no advice for helping him feed...he has reflux and still struggles even on staydown milk...rarely takes more than 3oz at a time...hhhrmph!

CantThinkofFunnyName · 29/03/2010 16:30

Here's the MN weigh-in tally:

Crumpette - 10st (any report?)
Alibobbins - 13st 9lb (3lb loss)
Newbeginnings - 13st 10lb (2lb loss)

Mama2Moo ? 15st 6lb (2lb loss)
SomewhatHorrified ? 11st 5lb (1lb loss)
VeryCherry ? 9st 6lb

I'm going to weigh again tomorrow because for some reason I always weigh less on a Tuesday than a Monday

Also - took Olivia for her weigh in today and she is now 10lb 7oz at 13 wks.

albiesmummy · 29/03/2010 16:56

oh dear god...your petite lo makes mine look enormous. hv assures me hes just under average [hmmm] is he the biggest baby on the block?

whensmydayoff · 29/03/2010 17:38

Ha ha haaaa CTFN Ive had some good excuses on the diet front over the years but "I weigh less on a tuesday than on a Monday*. If we were in a weight watchers meeting - Id heckle you in public!!

Sock I see your poo and raise you - More poo further stretching.

So trying to get DS and DD to Grans this morning - all of us grumpy with silly clock thing.

Grumpy DS now kicking front door in protest to get out while I run around like headless chicken. Just about made it, then I lifted Olivia and ta da - Poo all over her white dress (for grans benefit), lambs wool cover thingy, bouncy chair.

Take Olivia, strip, scrub, change leave.

Oh yes, have you spotted the problem here...

return 2 hours later, starving moany DS want lunch NOW, DD crying, overtired. Plonk her down, yip, in the bouncy chair.

Take Olivia, strip, scrub, change, off to kitchen to do lunch.

After lunch return to hallway, yes, poo on my sock has been trotted (excuse the pun) through cream carpet . We rent here so another apology to add to my list to landlord.

Until about half an hour ago, her bouncy chair and sheep skin thingy was still covered, the

alibobins · 29/03/2010 17:42

wmdo thanks for that info consultant didn't tell us how to take it just one is once a day then the other 4 times a day.
No chemists have got it in stock it will take 4 days to come and I've got to pick up 1 bottle per week x x

sock it just means that it isn't caused by anything serious and should eventually go away.

whensmydayoff · 29/03/2010 17:46

ali thats different from the tablets I use. I can't remember what name they use for the bottled version.

Don't know if it will be a syringe then.x

CantThinkofFunnyName · 29/03/2010 18:46

WMDO - nightmare day! And if I haven't lost 5lb overnight I'd be amazed ! Been up since 5am running around like headless chicken, took kids to school early due to a tutoring group, off to baby clinic for weighing, home to gather some essentials, off to get car valeted, run to Waitrose whilst car being cleaned, pick up car, dash to Buggy Workout. 1 1/2 hours later, legs like jelly! Home to feed me, feed Olivia, hoover, back to school to pick up kids. Come home, start preparing dinner, Olivia has wobbly for 1 1/2 hours. Finally got dinner soted, ate, put stuff in dishwasher (about 10 mins ago). Fed Olivia, plonked her in chair so I could write this - now off to bath her. Oh and DH is out out !!

Tomorrow is Olivia's 2nd bout of jabs. Fully expecting her to be horrendous as she was for first set. And I will be going out to a school music evening where DS is performing. DH (less of the "D" at the moment) will be in sole charge of a v v v grumpy Olivia . Revenge.

Fraochsmum · 29/03/2010 19:37

OMG wmdo that is hilarious! I was cracking up at your description of weighing yourself (cause I took my dressing gown off this time too!), then your nightmare of a day out was the icing on the cake x
Sockmonkey - love the idea of bad night poker!
ctofn - hope you get a better night after the terrible day.
DH is now on holiday for a week and I really want to take us all (2 labradors included) and see friends and family in England...but there's bloody snow coming! Sods law eh?

Partyofseven · 29/03/2010 22:19

Hi all

hope you all as well as can be expected, being mummies of non sleeping, poo covered babies.

Ali- hope jacob is as well as can be, you really are going through it, makes me appreciate my lot

Well done for all you who have lots pounds and inches, I spent all day at hospital, having kidneys scans so having been able to get out and buy scales. had to leave Erin for first time, and she was an angel. Cant I appear to have fallen of the list.

I still have a little poorly baby with the coughing and snuffly nose, and she is having her jabs tomorrow. She has to have have them as we are going away fri. Can she have calpol after them, being only 9 weeks, does anyone know.

verycherry · 29/03/2010 22:27

Thanks for adding me to the list CTOFN but have to report that I am now 9.8! bloody hell not the direction I want to be heading in but not suprised, did expect to put a bit back on after being ill but damn damn damn! How can I update the list? am v rubbish at computer things..

WMDO & Albiesmummy I am completely knackered, having the evening makes it easier though does'nt it? But I am so ready for him to sleep longer, I also like torturing myself with hearing how other peoples baby's are sleeping god knows why.

Had blimmin nightmare at bedtime today, had dropped ds1 off in neighbouring village to see friends at 4.30, stupidly did not set a time to collect him but told him to call me to get him but not between 6.30 and 7 when bathing and putting to bed ds3&4. Of course he texted at 6.38 cue me getting v stressed then worrying that all his friends would be going in and he'd be alone etc etc so got ds3 in bed and put ds4 in car to get ds1. Luca fell fast asleep in the car of course, had to wake him to feed him then he was massively unsettled and not in bed til after 8 arrrrggghhh.

Had to then drink wine and eat sticky toffee pudding to destress and am now restressing as can feel said wine/food actively morphing into fat/cellulite on my thighs/hips.

Am being inspected tomorrow, not quite sure what will be inspected, but have a student nursery nurse coming to spend 2 days a week with me on placement for a term after easter. She is the daughter of a friend so know her a little, she will be spending time with Luca which means I can spend some time with ds3, and on thurs morn when he is at preschool I will be able to get housey stuff (mumsnet) done without interruption yippee!!!

Luca seems to be going off my right boob, he latches on then pulls off then repeats this over and over without seeming to take a proper feed, anyone else experienced this? Any idea why he is doing it?

My boobs are also enormous whilst feeding and am trying to convince myself that they weigh at least a lb more than normal (contributing to lardy weight). Dp kindly commented that they looked like udders at the weekend, thought that was particularly thoughtful of him...

Right am off to bed to dream of sleeping for 7 hours in a row.....

verycherry · 29/03/2010 22:29

pos she can have 2.5mls of calpol after if she's not too good. Hope all goes well and that she won t need it.

CantThinkofFunnyName · 30/03/2010 07:16

Calpol - you can give 2 lots of 2.5ml,4-6 hours apart - but no more until 3 months.

Olivia's 2nd jabs today - we will be Calpol'ed up! Another horrendous night from her. She hasn't had a poo in 4 days (tmi) and she has screaming fits where she goes as stiff as a board.

Oh how I dream of a looooong sleep. Think I am going to pray to the God of Sleep.

Cheers lottie, you did have twice the number of babies than anyone else so that cancels out some of the weight!!!!

Wonder why your girls have decided to wake up again? How are you managing it? Feeding or settling? What a bloody pita though! Luca is super grumpy this morning and I am just shattered can hardly drag myself off the sofa. Add to that the miserable grey rainy weather today is not looking good.

Albiesmummy - luca was 12.3 two weeks ago so must be around 13 lbs now at nearly 13 wks so sounds around same size as Albie.

CantThinkofFunnyName · 30/03/2010 09:13

party - so sorry you've been missed off list. Can you add yourself on to it with your weight - can't find the post!

WMDO - YES! This morning I am 10st 5lb - which is a 1lb loss overnight!!!!! So there . Bloody weird. It happens every week. I'm usually really disheartened on the Monday and then Tuesday - lo and behold the weight is off! Must be the Sunday roasts taking a day or so to digest . So I'm going to update the list - because 10st 6lb is what I was last Tuesday !

mama2moo · 30/03/2010 09:37

londonlottie After the easter egg and cookies I ate last night (and the curry) I am heavier then you! I am not getting on the scales for a few days though to try and shift it!

I am going to measure myself today and see how many inches I loose.

Babymoo is having a growth spurt I think. Anyone else have this at 8 weeks? She woke a lot last night. Typical as I need to start expressing today for the weekend - Will it matter do you think? I dont want to deprive her of milk IYSWIM.

sockmonkey · 30/03/2010 10:30

Ok WMDO - You win the poker poo-off.

Well, my gym ball is getting plenty use - the boys are playing indiana jones with it and rolling it down the stairs!
No weight loss as of monday. I have been wanting to do some baking, but will end up eating it all myself so am resisting.

DD has a very windy bum today... it makes me chuckle when shee sneezes and trumps at the same time [childish emoticon]
Been having a nice chat with DD... i tell her shes lovely and she coos and smiles back. It's odd to think that 9 weeks ago she was only just born.

crumpette · 30/03/2010 11:25

Right ladies

I am back

My internet has been down since last Tuesday!!! aaargh! '3' are officially rubbish

I have not yet weighed myself.. I am a bit scared actually

will go and find scales (hidden under kitchen sink under lots of general rubbish to prevent obsessive over-weighing)

......

crumpette · 30/03/2010 11:31

WELL... I am exactly the same as last week! I am wearing clothes, underwear, breast pads.. and I have had coffee and peanut butter on toast and I have wet hair from my shower

So I figure that's a 1lb weight loss, right

ali glad to hear Jacob is OK, still very scary for you though so I hope new meds can ease some of his symptoms

crumpette · 30/03/2010 11:42

Hmm watching sky news whilst BFing piglet.. Tony Blair's accent is tres weird..

So I actually saw a friend last week! It was exhausting though, I had to tell her to bugger orf eventually (at about 6.30) but I do have a little baby and I had met her at 12, that's the thing.. when I had DD, I had lots of visitors but it was SO hard getting them to leave, one stayed til 11pm on our sofa even though I was falling asleep and she'd got there late morning! I don't wish to upset people but I just don't like having people around when I'm tired and grouchy

OH and I went to a weird cult meeting

I think they call it baby massage

It was frightful, a big circle of yummy mummies and we all had to go round and introduce ourselves (like AA) and there was much singing involved, too. Then DS screamed halfway through, then I did the leg massage wrong and was pulled up in front of everyone.. then I made my escape but neighbour invited me in.. for lunch.. and DS kicked off big-time again.. she's very keen to go to lots of baby things..I am probably going again this week... I can manage once a week, but she was talking about every day and I am way too antisocial to manage that at present especially while baby doesn't even seem to notice that there is another small person in front of him. In a couple months when he's crawling it will be more worthwhile [antisocial grump]

Right, more toast required. Hope you're all OK I haven't caught up yet (no internet! no internet shopping! no MN! the horror) but shall return..

Newbeginning1 · 30/03/2010 12:55

ali - good news about Jacob and I hope that the new medication works for him.

albiesmummy - have no fear about your LO being the biggest baby on the block. Yes, the earth shuddering you can feel is my DS. He was 13lb 6oz at 11 weeks so it's safe to say he is solid

sockmonkey & wmdo - sounds like a pootastic nightmare for you both. DS had another explosive poo yesterday which went all over his vest. Does anyone have any top tips for getting poo out of clothes? I run them under water, then leave them to soak and then they go in the washing machine but it doesnt shift it all. I'm sure it's industrial strength!!!

londonlottie - i think the mystical baby swapper has been here too and replaced Jack. He seems to hate his cot now and just screams when he's in it

crumpette - were your scales hidden in the same place as your "appliance" by any chance? That would be the only reason i could think of to keep weighing yourself

Good luck to the babies with jabs today, fingers crossed for a good night with them.

Is it just my DS that doesn't seem to have got that the clocks have changed. We are still an hour behind with everything so if anyone has any tips to bring him back in to line please let me know.

alibobins · 30/03/2010 13:58

Arrggggggggghhhhhhhhhh second day of half term and I'm pulling my hair out why oh why have we got this shitty weather

I took all 3 to have some pictures done this morning well what a nightmare Ds1 crying he doesn't want to wear a shirt Jacob grumpy full of cold and DD being a normal 9 year old thinking she's 16 with her attitude lol

Phew I'm glad its over hopefully got some good picture.

crumpette I only went to mother and toddlers once I've promised myself I join in more things after this alf term.

Question about returning to work They have agread to a 3 day week and have asked whic 3 days I want to do but I can't decide anyone any ideas?

Off to microwave a weightwatchers ready meal
