I am so blessed to be part of this group. We are starting another year together, our 3rd but who's counting. May you each have a happy and healthy one. I look forward to more meetups, more FBing, more Skyping, more Waving, more crazy tales, more laughter, more hand holding, and more support than is humanly possible! XOX

Ah Ha! I've figured out the root of my unhappy moodiness today. Seems I used an old bottle of Clinque Happy spray this morning to "brighten my day." There's obviously an expiration date to the perfume...beyond it HAPPY become UNHAPPY.

HOLY CRACKERS! I am still up!!!

Sort them out if you don't mind. I've no time for neatness. Night. Well I mean MORNING. Good GOLLY I'm confumbled.

lol TS at your clinique Unhappy

I wonder what 2010 will bring us all? Personally I know of at least 2 babies who will be arriving -oops of course, and my bf who is due in July. Hmmm, I predict at least another half dozen by the year end

O also says very little - although he has mastered "e,i,e,i,o" thanks to a musical farm toy he plays with incessantly. Other than that it's "mamamam" (mummy, er obviously) "hiya" and "ba-bye" Genius

lwfhthevampireslayer · 31/12/2009 12:03

ah genius CC. DS only says EIEIEIEI, no O yet. Very few actual useful words. Mum says that he sounds like a clanger

On the TV theme. Does anyone else have sing along with spot and think that the tune for round and round the garden sounds just like the theme for jossy's giants?

PoinsettiaBouquets · 31/12/2009 12:12

Sorry Sazz but bleurgh at thought of eating anything eucalyptus flavour! Hope it's nicer than it sounds.

Oops I had a 20m gap between my big two and moved DD into her big girl bed at 19m so we had a month to get over any issues. I have a 5' slab of sofa latex that slid out from under the bed each night as a 'childcatcher.' We had no probs at all except for the occasional sleepwalking - I would wake in the night and jump out of my skin to find this little thumbsucking gnome standing over me!

Steaky Good news on the phonecall, hope it bodes well for the next year.

Kurt just says 'Voo wooooo!' which either means Buzz Lightyear or 'To infinity and beyond'. DBro and family popped round this morning to admire new kitchen and when they were leaving he stood at the top of the stairs waving and saying 'baaaaaaa.' Again, another thing DS1 didn't do.

SazzlesOnASled · 31/12/2009 13:13

Buckets, you will be pleased to hear it is now mint foam due to a sudden shortage of eucalyptus in Gloucestershire

I have made 5 beds, hoovered and about to clean the bathroom. 1 hour and counting until guests arrive and then we are off for an afternoon of ten pin bowling with the DC's

TS LOL at 'unhappy'. I have an old bottle of 'happy' somewhere but i will refrain just now from trying out your theory!

DD2 says nothing really recognisable but has a wonderful head nod action. So you just need to go through 727 a few options until you hit upon the one she wants

oopsandbabycoconut · 31/12/2009 13:24

Oh Lordy we have manflu here - a sudden onset version! Woke DH this morning as he wanted to go to Cabot Circus to get some boots - it took him forever to come around so I said I would go and have my bloods done and meet him and DD back at home in 20mins. I walked out the door and DD screamed, I gave it 30secs to see where he was - nada, I walked to the car started the engine walked back to the house - DD still yelling muuuumyyyy and DH checking his e-mails So I scooped DD up and took her with me to the germy flu infested surgery came home and DH had gone back to bed at he felt coldy he has just wwoken up, asked why I didn't buy a newspaper at Morrisons or cough medicine and why i have a 'piss' on [double ]

DD and I have been playing cooking most of the morning and we found a hedgehog out in the garden looking for food so we put out some mealworms and she dance around the house yelling heghok until I found her toy one.

Coronation Chicken sarnies here for lunch then beef wellington for dinner if DH can cope!

TwilightSurfer · 31/12/2009 13:31

Morning. Reese is an snot monster this morning. She also decided she needed help sleeping around midnight....about the time I was headed to bed. Soooooooooooo I've really had very little sleep in the past 36 hours.

As for talking, she's amazing!!! However, my brain is not working so well this morning to be able to share some of her newest words, sentences really.

She's trying to eat peanut butter crackers. A bit sticky. DH should be back with our breakfast. HARDEES bacon, egg and cheese biscuit!!!! YUM!

Hello my lovely darlings

Just back from a faberooney afternoon with dear friends, involving a certain amount of wine so am feeling very

Hope you all have lots of fun on NYE, and sending you all loads of love, sloppy kisses and good wishes for an awesome 2010

dizzycringles · 31/12/2009 18:49

ah we love you hotter the lush

shitey day at work, shitey evening at home, I shall be putting this year to rest by going to bed early and having a lovely family day tomorrow with the girls and some fresh air (weather permitting)

enjoy your night ladies, for those who want it booze fuelled wishing you neurofen plus and a long lie tomorrow and for those who want it quiet, wishing you a good book and a snuggly duvet

oopsandbabycoconut · 31/12/2009 18:54

To all the special ladies of this fantastic thread - I hope you and your families have and amazing 2010. Enjoy tonight and I will raise a glass (of lemonade - extra lemon )to you all at the latest possible hour I can manage (most likely 10pm when I have spoken to everyone in SA )

See you all on the otherside

Dizzy - Just think no more work for 14 days

dizzycringles · 31/12/2009 19:16

oops I know however due to idiot supervisor I have to sit and do all my shift pattern again and before the 4th when I'm interviewing the mother's help girl

I should really get it done tonight when DH is on late shift so as not to waste any time with him rantingaboutsoddingwork and the girls

DH working until 1am so we won't be able to bring in the bells in our usual way which is probably just as well as the neighbours are having fireworks and he'd probably think they were in his honour!

anyway, I don't want my last post in 2009 to be a ranty one - I'll just say that in 1999 I was spending Hogmany with my on/off boyfriend and my friends and cousins who were over from Spain, burning my beautiful expensive red knickers at midnight as my cousin's girlfriend told me she was homesick & cold and wearing and setting fire to red pants was a tradition there - made for a chilly evening let me tell you no red knickers but my socks are red so thats something!

libbyssister · 31/12/2009 19:59

Hi everyone... I posted back when our Aug 08's were inside and out of trouble and those early newborn days.

I've just found out I'm pregnant with DC3 , prob in June/July 2010. Is anyone else from the thread expecting again?!

oopsandbabycoconut · 31/12/2009 20:05

Hi Libby - our first Aug 08 sibling was born a few weeks ago and I am (for the moment, after tonight you never know!) the only other thread member expecting again, I'm due in late May.

libbyssister · 31/12/2009 20:23

Congrats Oops. Glad I'm not the only one!

dizzycringles · 31/12/2009 21:01

Hi libbysister - congratulations! hope your DC are well longwayfromhome had another baby a few weeks ago, a girl to compliment her beautiful boy and as Oops said, she's next!

congrats on DC3 - hope you're ready as I'm knackered with my 3!!!

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 01/01/2010 00:06

Happy New Year you bunch of fecking superstars {fgrin]

I am looking forward to coming to all of your houses before the year is out...

PoinsettiaBouquets · 01/01/2010 00:13

Can't wait to see you Hotter!

Just been woken up to celebrate in the street. Went to fab party at cool neighbours', as cool as I imagined it would be natch, swapped with Adam at 10.30, after 2 mojitos, mulled wine and 2 mad dog cocktail shot things. Feeling v loved up with my street, the world and all my lovely cyber friends. Happy new year babies (and your babies too).

PS Congrats Libbysister, #3 really does come up to all the stereotypes of easy baby.

PoinsettiaBouquets · 01/01/2010 00:17

Dizzy God was it 10 years ago we were the kind of girls that set fire to our best red knickers?. The thought of doing such now makes me gasp and twist my lips like a Cranford old maid. (Although pretty sure mine would have just been lost under a dashboard somewhere.)

TwilightSurfer · 01/01/2010 02:52

HAPPY NEW YEAR over your way.

While ya'll are reminiscing about burning red knickers I'm sitting here folding knickers and other items. What a difference a few years make.

Libbyssister congratulations. That is wonderful news. Feel free to pull up a chair and join the ride again. It's never without drama.

Buckets your party sounds fab. Our neighbors are shooting off fireworks which has dd1 both scared and excited. Her anxieties are pretty high today. Can't imagine why though.

Dizzy you made me giggle with the fireworks post comment.

Back to folding. Still a few more hours before the ball drops in Times Square.

What a bloomin night.. for the first time in i don't know how long i consumed 2 big glasses of wine and stayed up til 2am!!!! HOVEVER.... dd2 still sleeping blissfully... BUT DD1 was having a sleepover with her cousins.. finally got her into bed for 11.. came in to me at 3.15am couldn't move her back to her room as didn't want to disturb the others and she is proceeded to wake me up every single hour but we finally got up at 7... DH is going mental as he is so fed up with ruling the roost.. cue lots of trantrums and "i cannot breathe".... ye gods.. not the greatest start to the new year...

sorry for massive post just needed to get that off my chest.... just cannot believe her behaviour... feel like i am the worst mother in the world who cannot control or dispcline my 4year old...
