Q wont' appreciate the dinner. He's in the habit lately of taking food, chewing it up, sucking on it a while, then spitting it out . What a waste! Dh just says "he can live on his fat reserves... he's not going hungry" but

We haven't decided what we're going to see yet, Star. But we really must make a point of sorting it out or it's the kind of thing we won't get round to.

Oh yes, I got a great Christmas present today. I got a reminder for an unpaid parking fine - for a ticket I never actually got! They're asking for £100. I think I'm going to have to ask for photographic evidence, as I definitely didn't receive a ticket, so never got the option of paying earlier when the fine was smaller. I'm not even sure if I was there, as it was back in November.

StarExpat · 24/12/2009 21:06

aubergenie that's frustrating!
The guy I sold my car to was meant to mail off the v5 form and didn't! So I got slapped with an 80 pound fine. . I emailed him and asked him about it and he never wrote me back jerk.

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/12/2009 21:07

Presents wrapped and all around tree. Potatoes and parsnips peeled (realised that I bought little carrots that don't need peeling - hurrah!). About to chop cauli. Then 'just' the tidying to do. Might even find time for a little snack.

Right, done about as much as I'm going to tonight!

I checked the present from my uncle, and it's actually jelly babies, so at least D can have some. Will have to ration them both though.

Merry Christmas everyone!

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/12/2009 21:48

They are soaking in a bowl of water in the fridge myjob. They will leach some of their nutrients, but they shouldn't discolour or go horrid.

I sometimes par boil and sometimes don't. Soaking doesn't make any difference to them.

50ftChristmasTree · 25/12/2009 00:01

Happy Christmas everyone!!!!!

Maybe they're all still doing presents Myjob! DS could have broken the world record for present opening speed this morning. M is currently twirling around in her Christmas dress looking very pleased with herself.
