FiByTheSea · 21/11/2009 22:05

flippin whoohoo on dd1 & poo on the loo... ooo that rhymes

flippineckitsnearlychristmas · 21/11/2009 22:05

No celebrity here...don't like it, but especially don't like Jordan/Katie. Back in to Strictly though, much to DH's boredom! Another TV confession though - I've started watching neighbours again . It's on at 7pm on Fiver, that's when I'm feeding A and getting her to sleep, DH is usually with DD1 reading her stories so I can watch what I like!

Wet and windy here too now, but not as bad as earlier in the week when I was worried about the roof.

essenceofSES · 21/11/2009 22:05

Flippin - sounds like a great day and at your lie in!

Belgian - O has an intermittent habit of biting. I try and take him off immediately and look at him sternly but he just laughs! I have a theory that he does it more when his gums are sore.

flippineckitsnearlychristmas · 21/11/2009 22:07

he he he
fibythesea
you're a poet
and boy, don't you know it

Febesisalittlefirecracker · 21/11/2009 22:07

Cake photo is on my profile.

I am in awe of my sister too. HCPs are VERY pro BF in NZ. The twins have only had her BM from the word go as they expressed her a few mms off straight away and they were given through gastric tube. They put you on 3 hourly expressing (although she was aloud to miss one overnight) and she had to do 2 milk runs a day to get her milk into the hospital once she went home. She has 48 hours rooming in before they go home to establish feeding from the breast. Normal births stay 3 days and CS stay 5 days and BFC do daily sessions in the hospital while you are there with your new born. So much better support than here.

Flippin Yah for the poo in the loo!!

Kim on celebrity is bloody funny! She is making me LOL.

flippineckitsnearlychristmas · 21/11/2009 22:09

ses - lie in was great, but it means that if I don't get up with the girls (about 6ish ) tomorrow morning DH will sigh and tut all day.

Febesisalittlefirecracker · 21/11/2009 22:10

I'm going to buy those yummy banana sweets to put around the base of the cake.

FiByTheSea · 21/11/2009 22:13

I've never really watched i'm a celeb before... i actually recognise some of these celebs!

wow febes that's wonderful support in NZ your sister is obviously in v good hands and your cake looks GREAT... fantastic expression! Definitely too delicious to wait until tomorrow to eat

essenceofSES · 21/11/2009 22:16

Febes - cake looks great and love the idea of the banana sweets. Hope DD has a great day tomorrow.

flippin - hmm... Why do DHs make such a big deal when they do something we do every day??!

FiByTheSea · 21/11/2009 22:26

ok I've uploaded photos to my profile too... totally different style of cake & not nearly as delicious looking as febes's one.

flippineckitsnearlychristmas · 21/11/2009 22:37

fab cakes both!

Right, off to bed now. See you tomorrow. Happy, peaceful sleeping vibes!

FiByTheSea · 21/11/2009 22:48

night night flippin xox

Belgianrockets · 21/11/2009 22:48

flippin New sling? silvery grey? I finally got to sell that one . I kept getting lots of ooh that's beautiful messages, but no one was buying. V. annoying. of your lie in. I never ever get one. DH is either at work or recovering from work. I'm home all day every day, so clearly get lie ins all the time

ses I was thinking that earlier about the biting. I think she's teething, but still not nice when it happens. I take her off straightaway and stop the feed when she does. She doesn't seem to do it to play though. You know no cheeky smiles when it happens.

febes What great support new mums are getting in NZ. Great that your sis has been able to take advantage of that.

I'm finding Kim on celeb very funny too.

Off to have a peek at the cakes on f/b now and then off to bed. DH is out at sea/river now. Don't envy him, it's very blowy and wet out there. He'll be back around 4am and has told me he doesn't want to find me in bed with PJ's on. I think I'm going to dissobey him though, because it's cold in bed on my own.

FiByTheSea · 21/11/2009 23:34

I'm with you belgian... def bed with pj's do you think your dh has an ulterior motive by any chance?

Right of to bed for me too... night night xoxox

Tummum · 22/11/2009 08:55

Morning all. It's supposed to be raining today but so far it's a beautiful day. I suppose I should be taking advantage of this instead of putting a DVD on for the kids and MNing myself whilst DH snores in bed . Speaking of which, could someone explain to me what a lie-in is please, I don't understand

Well, the cakes looked fabulous ladies, very impressive work.

Belgian LOL at DH. Ulterior motive indeed

Flippin I'm with you on celebrity and Jordan/Katie. I have, however, converted to X factor this year.

Thanks for the advice on DD. I was dreading her going to sleep last night because she was making such a fuss, but she was so shattered she went straight off without a fuss, and seems far less bothered today. Apart from the 'Can I take my bandage off today Mummy, it's been 2 weeks." I'm sure the sling isn't going to last long either ! Today we're going to transfer all of the crap useful stuff from old caravan to new caravan. The new one is fab, I'm really looking fwd to going away in it. I think it's going to be much better because the kids have their own bedroom with bunks, so no messing around setting up bunk beds at bed time, and plenty of room for storing more crap

FiByTheSea · 22/11/2009 10:15

morning tummum similar lazy am here.. i saw your fb update this am and I could just picture the scene.. reminded me of the are we nearly there yet?!

FiByTheSea · 22/11/2009 10:18

& your new caravan sounds great.. very spacious!

pulaparkin · 22/11/2009 10:24

Morning ladies, I have a new baby neice - born yesterday evening by c-section as she was transverse. Must try not to get broody when i meet her next week!

essenceofSES · 22/11/2009 10:39

Morning all!

Congrats aunty Pula

Tummum - caravan sounds great!

Well DS woke soon after 10.30 last night. He finally got back to sleep at 11.30. DH then got home at half past midnight and woke me up and then DS woke up at 2am! I gave up and brought him into bed at that point!

FiByTheSea · 22/11/2009 10:40

ooo auntie pula that's great news gonna be a hard job to not get broody though i think

SpangleMaker · 22/11/2009 11:02

Morning everyone Grey and rainy here, boo.

Loving the cakes - so impressed!

Tummum love the sound of your new caravan.

Dandy hope you had a great time last night.

Febes tandem feeding, wow! The MWs in NZ sound fab. They are pretty good at my hospital but too busy to give an ideal amount of support. I was chatting to another mum on Friday who said they left her on the breast pump for over an hour because they forgot about her, and of course she had no idea of how long it should have been as it was her first time.

Lie-ins I will ask DH about those. Mind you, he's not had so many lately. On Sunday mornings I used to bring H upstairs when he woke up, allowing DH to sleep, and having to wait for him to be up and about (or H to have a nap) before I could get a shower. But now I feed H, put him back in his cot with a couple of toys and go off for a shower, telling DH 'I'm sure he won't make too much noise'

SpangleMaker · 22/11/2009 11:03

x post. Congrats Auntie Pula

FiByTheSea · 22/11/2009 11:40

lie ins? ah yes please these days anything beyond 7am is a lie in here.. for me anyway and i send ds into our room to 'say hellooo to daddy' when i want a hot cuppa in peace
