[Peers head round door] Hi all, I haven't been on this thread for aaaaaaages! I doubt most of you remember me! (I'm EE on FB, not the one with the twins!!)

I hope you're all well, I am feeling much better now re my PND, I am on 150mg Sertraline which seems to be working and have been much more myself for about a month now.

I'm still BF but just last thing at night, I'm returning to work on 4 Jan, mixed feelings about that obviously.

Poppy (one of the older ones at 5 Nov) is on the brink of walking, she's taken 11 consecutive solo steps. She's still on reflux meds but is never sick any more, but every time we try to reduce the meds she gets irritable so the paediatrician said to keep her on them.

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas anyway! x

Oblomov · 23/12/2009 13:10

Merry Christmas everybody Hope you're all having a lovely day. Just wanted to say thank you to my Secret Santa for the lovely handmade apron! It's beautiful and will come in very useful when I start baking with E (and probably before then too!). Thank you so much.
Well E has opened a grand total of 3 presents so far and then she decided she wanted a nap and has been asleep for an hour and a half so far... So at this rate we'll still be opening presents on New Year's Day! Enjoy the rest of the day all xx

Rosa · 25/12/2009 14:49

AW Rosa never mind! Hope you have a lovely Christmas!

Thank you very much to my SS- it is a really lovely present and I am still wearing it!(It's a very pretty bracelet with my little DC's intials on it).xx

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 25/12/2009 19:52

Merry Christmas

I hope everyone had a good day. things here very serene and quiet with only one minor strop from DS1 and a disagreement between DD and bumble over her new kitchen. Best day here in a long time, and the turkey was gorgeous.

thank you so much to my SS . I think it was one of the Scottish lot who was my SS, but not sure which one . Lovely gifts; a Colin Baxter diary, some G&B chocolate (yum yum) and a fizzy bath bomb.

Now watching Doctor Who on catch up and feeling a bit stuffed full of food and wine.....bliss

kids have had a ball; they got some lovely pressies and bumble loves his "bumble"-bug and a click-clack car track from the ELC. Most fun has been had with a little wooden stocking filler that has springs in and some animal pegs that jump out of their holders when you press them down. I got some lovely knitting based pressies from my lot, the usual round of smellies, sweeties and music, and some very dodgy clothes from my SIL (hideous nightie) and DSis (old lady jumper) which have no tags so I can't take them back for an exchange!

right, this story needs my full attention. Hope everyone has had a lovely day

chocolategal · 25/12/2009 20:06

Merry Christmas everyone

thank you SS, the chocs are open & I wore the pretty bracelet today. Something I would gave chosen for myself so thank you xx

had a trying day here, DS full of the cold and really really miserable with it. He's been exhausted the whole day.
DH, myself & DS all tucked up in bed watching telly now though. Bliss!

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 25/12/2009 20:20

aw poor DS chocgal; bumble is still really snotty and today his eyes have started streaming and getting gunky. He wouldn't eat much either. Not sure whether it was the cold or the excitement though!

I'm in my jammies as well....trousers were getting a leeetle bit uncomfortable

suiledonne · 25/12/2009 20:35

Nollaig Shona Daoibh.

Happy Christmas to you all.

A lovely day here. Guggi got a little Fisher Price buggy/walker and a baby doll. She looks so proud pushing her dolly around.

DD1 got everything she asked Santa for but her favourite thing is the cheapo music box I bought her as a stocking filler

We are having the worst cold spell here that I have ever experienced. It rained briefly today and immediately froze again so all roads are treacherous. Got to visit MIL for an hour but not looking like we will get to my parents tomorrow as planned and really wanted to see my little sister as she got engaged yesterday.

congratulations monkey!! You have been busy!

Thanks ss for my lovely Crabtree&Evelyn smellies. Just the thing for my poor dry hands.

LadyBuzz · 25/12/2009 20:46

Merry Christmas everyone.

Glad everyone is having s nice day, we have had a hectic but very fun day, caught up with both sides of the family and ate loads of nice food.

DS1 very very excited it was magic. J not so bothered although he loves his rock and scoot and his smart trike!

I just want to say to my SS thankyou so much I love my pressie, it is a pendulum and an angel worry stone. The pendulum is stunning and just the sort of thing I am into. Thank you so very very much .

Off to snuggle in my new xmas PJs with sojme choccie and wine - perfect.

twinklingfairy · 26/12/2009 09:12

Oh it sounds like everyone has had a lovely christmas day
Ours was very good too.
Poor DD thought that Santa was coming to see her. Went down the stairs, with us all following more excited than her. She looke dthrough the window saying 'Santa is not here.'
I had to explain that he had come last night and left pressies. I had to point them out! Luckily DH had written a letter from Santa, which I would never had thought on, but it was just the ticket

Unfortunately MIL has been told to stop taking her St Johns Wort and is an absolute horrorProper nipping at FIL over such ridiculous things, DH evetually blew at her and walked out!
Luckily it wasn't until late on in the day. But we had to watch nonsense all night on the box in order to keep her sweet.
{fenvy] of those able to watch what they wanted and snuggle up happily at the end of the day.
But really it was a lovely day. DD was so sweet, expecting Santa to be here for a visit, aaaah.

So glad you made it safely Rosa
We are meant to go visiting today but that is not happening. As suildonne said, the roads are just ice! At least an inch thick, pure ice. Just wish I had ice skates!!

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 26/12/2009 09:53

Oh, dear bumble not good. He has got dark orange, almost red, gunk oozing out of one ear . Waiting on the local OOH service calling back with an appointment. And I'm feeling bad for forcing him back to bed earlier. Poor soul has been up all night, but it probably hurts too much to lie down.

Ceebee74 · 26/12/2009 10:57

Glad everyone had a lovely Christmas - we did too. Will post more later.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to my SS - I got a lovely hand-knitted scarf which is so soft and cuddly!!

coolkat · 26/12/2009 12:16

Hi everyone, glad to hear of nice christmas's, mine was fab.

Had a house full, girls got lovely pressies and DH got me a surprise day at a health farm with 2 friends whose husbnds were in on the surprise.

Becca loves her wheely bug and her pushchair / walker, a fisher price thing!!

Becca has had diahorrea since tues/weds and I am getting a bit concerned. She had a really bad night last night up for a few hours with her so I sympathise with others with poorly little ones.

Love to all X

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 26/12/2009 16:39

Doc says it's a viral thing with bumble as there is no infection in his ears..the poor thing has no balance though and has just cracked his head on the edge of the door and has a mahoosive egg on his forehead now.

He has gunk oozing from his eyes and lime green snot, but this is not bacterial apparently

Will take him to my own GP on Tuesday if he isn't any better.

twinklingfairy · 26/12/2009 17:36

Oh poor bumble, daisy
Loving wishes to him.

We are just back from visiting BIL. His DD is a wee terror. Ungrateful, shouty thing who cries in order to get her own way.
There are far too many issues between her parents to even begin to try to figure out how to get her under control. Each of them is teaching her bad ways to treat others and neither is taking responsability. She lets her off with everything, he would have her frightened to move. A middle ground seems unreachable.
Is sad but will figure itself out in the long run.
Is just not nice if she is nasty to my wee DD, as she was today, just as we left.
Ah well.
Home soon.

twinklingfairy · 26/12/2009 17:37

That was meant to be a face, how on earth did it become a smile??

chocolategal · 26/12/2009 18:45

Hi everyone
lots of poorly babies it seems
ended up at out of hours dr at 1am last night, DS had a temp of 39.4! He has an ear and chest infection.
Got antibiotics and he is a bit brighter today.

That's a great idea twinkling with santas letter.
Hope bumble and coolkats DD better soon
