oh scary!! Did you find the rest of the tablet anywhere? or had he been playing with it? We don't have a dishwasher but do keep all cleaning stuff up high in a closet. Well, high for Q... not for a normal person, because I have to be able to reach it still.

star6 · 22/10/2009 20:26

molar? 4th? Are they meant to be cutting molars now?
Q soaked through 8. Yes, 8. eight shirts today with drool. I'm now thinking that the not eating for those days before was due to teething... he has 4 on top and 2 on bottom.

CSWS you missed the tights because you were too busy sprinting into the Lakelands shop.

I forgot to say that I found W laying on the floor by his cot the other day. He was feeling very sorry for himself. He had somehow managed to climb out and fall to the ground. Monkey.

50ft where are you going on holiday then? Anywhere nice?

Star nice image of poor Q with the drool.
Stop cleaning.

Pistachio, these boys get so strong so fast.

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/10/2009 21:02

Yes we have the rest of the tablet star - it was one of those fairy all in one ones in a little plastic case that dissolves in the wash (or a mouth ), and when the casing dissolved he got a mouth full of the powder stuff (not the liquid thankfully, as that was on other side) at which point he screamed and we tried to wash his mouth out, and threw the rest of the tablet away.

I'm hoping it's a molar here too pistachio - they have been rumbling for weeks, so it's about time one (or more) came through.

star - you need some of those fleece backed bandana bibs like D wears - search ebay for 'bipistuff drybib'.

Thank you ladies! I made that recipe up all by myself! I was thinking about adding some coarsely ground chickpeas to bulk them up a bit and make them chunkier. I added ground chickpeas to the turkey burgers I made over the summer rather than just breadcrumbs.

Pistachio - M has phases of smacking me in the face or kicking me in the face or shoving her fingers in my mouth & gouging my gums..... It's great fun isn't it? Makes you feel so appreciated! My two fight over me as well. I find it sweet as ds is six. Glad ds recovered from his fall.

Myjob - M has had three feeds today including bed so it was more than yesterday! However, one of those feeds was after she slipped over on her blanket and banged her head. Good plan to relax and enjoy the last few bfeds with your last baby. And yes, N is really catching up! M is only just over 9kg!

CSWS - Good news about D's hearing test hope he feels better soon. I think I've only mentioned in passing that we were going away. We're going to Dorset, so nothing too exotic! But we are quite a British holiday, beach in the rain, type of family!

aubergenie · 22/10/2009 21:04

CSWS - That's really scary! I'm so glad it wasn't more serious.

Pistachio - That's funny about the molars. Was it really bad? Dp was convinced the other day that S's molars were bothering him because he was really grinding his teeth. I poo-pooed him as I didn't think they came for ages, (plus he's only just got his front top ones) but maybe he was right.

aubergenie · 22/10/2009 21:07

Chickpeas a good idea. I thought spring onion could be good in them too, 50ft.

An English seaside holiday sounds lovely!

50ftQueeniefromtheblacklagoon · 22/10/2009 21:10

It took me SO long to finish that post that I missed almost a page!

Ouch and bloody hell to the dishwasher tablets CSWS! Ours are up high above the dishwasher so no worries there. I doubt he'll do it again though. Glad dd likes her PJs, ds loved his slippers (I took the price off first as he has started noticing things like that). I did come out of H&M to find you but you were nowhere to be seen!

M did her first forward roll today and thought it was hilarious. She keeps doing the dolphin yoga position and today decided to push harder with her legs and tucked her head under! Over she went and came back laughing her head off!

Ronshar - Heh heh. DS never managed to climb out of his cot even though he could escape from his Grobag by the time he was 6 months. He could climb almost anything but not out of his cot. I doubt M will ever do it either, she's not a huge climber. Are you going to move him to a bed early? I think you said that you were thinking about it because of the reversing!

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/10/2009 21:12

Just add a bit of gram flour for 'chickpea-ness'.

Dd's 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th teeth were molars iirc. Ds already has 6 teeth but no molars yet.

OP posts:
50ftQueeniefromtheblacklagoon · 22/10/2009 21:12

Oh and M still only has 2 teeth & they're not even through completely!

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/10/2009 21:15

Ds is a real climber so I expect that he'll need a bed even sooner than dd did, and she was in one before she turned 2. Today he climbed up onto the seat of dd's highchair and then started to climb onto the dining table (did I mention that our new one arrived?) and got most annoyed when I removed him!

OP posts:
50ftQueeniefromtheblacklagoon · 22/10/2009 21:17

Heh heh! They're getting such little personalities now aren't they? D always seems so pleased with himself when he's done some particularly good climbing doesn't he?!

Oh we need a new thread ladies!

ronshar about W climbing out of his cot! I hope Q doesn't figure that out! Actually, although he walks and climbs stairs...etc., I think his beautiful big belly would get in the way of him climbing out of his cot

Spinach in the sweet potato cakes tastes good! Confirmed! And with wholemeal flour added in yum!

I'm going to search for those bibs, csws.

Hey - does "ta" mean something to anyone here, or is it just a sound people are proud that their babies can make?

50ftQueeniefromtheblacklagoon · 22/10/2009 21:27

Star - People often say "ta" instead of thanks or thank you. Lots of parents teach it to their babies as thank you is a tough one for them to get!

M has a new 'word', "dowa" means tree (not dog as I had thought) apparently. She also seems to understand "Are you hungry?" or at least associates it with getting food. She was grumpy bout being hungry but I couldn't work out for the life of me what she was moaning about! Then I saw the time and asked if she was hungry and she got all excited & started pointing to the door.

star6 · 22/10/2009 21:27

Q and I are going swimming tomorrow I cannot believe I'm going to get into a swimsuit DH keeps wanting us all to go together on weekends but I can't bring myself to put it on in front of him, even!

50ftQueeniefromtheblacklagoon · 22/10/2009 21:29

Anyone watching Professional Masterchef? I won't say anything in case anyone is saving it or watching it on delay. My Mum has a huge crush on Michel!

star6 · 22/10/2009 21:30

Clever M with all that talking!

OH!! I nearly forgot! Q can say "up" when he wants to be picked up or lifted out of pushchair/highchair...etc.

star6 · 22/10/2009 21:32

ok, that explains it, 50ft. I've heard over the past week, several moms tell me that their babies can say "ta".
lol about dowa / tree !
DH always climbs trees whenever we go to the park and Q thinks it is hilarious

star6 · 22/10/2009 21:33

Quick csws! Quick! New thread! New Thread!

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/10/2009 21:36

I am watching MM - not sure if we're a bit behind or not - they are currently tasting the final meals.

star - you are mad not even wanting your dh to see you in your swimsuit!

I don't like people saying 'ta' to babies - my back always prickles when people say it to my dc. Dd was perfectly capable of saying thank you at a reasonable age.

I can just imagine M looking really pleased with herself and chuckling after doing a forward roll .
