Hmm, just checked, and it's been 43 days since my period. Wonder if they are still settling down or whether I should do a pg test. That would be ironic wouldn't it, since we have crap fertility, and have only had sex once since ds was born!

Ouch ouch ouch

I have got an infected sinus again! It is so blocked I can't blow my nose and it is really painful and hot. I should go to the doctors but as I can't drive (and tis miles away to the OOH service) and the dc are in bed, it's not practical. I even tried to snort some warm water to see if it would clear it but my nose is so blocked I can't breathe in through that nostril. Oh the pain!

Ouch 50ft. I've only ever had a sinus infection once, but it bloody hurt. Could you steam your face over a bowl of hot water to at least ease some of the congestion until you can see someone?

Ooh, how exciting CSWS! At least if were pregnant it would take the decision about number three away from you. Have your periods been irregular since they started again?

Myjob - I've not idea what to suggest. Really hope it's not an infection though.

Well, I had a great birthday in the end. Dp bought me some Hot Milk undies, and arranged for a woman to come over yeaterday evening and give me a massage. Bliss. Unfortunately we then had a terrible night with ds which wasn't quite so relaxing, but hey ho.

star6 · 17/10/2009 20:18

myjob for almost 2 years period - free!

Oh csws that would definitely be a miracle baby I'm secretly hoping it is, though... so you don't have to agonize over the decision to have 3 or not... if you are pg now, then it was meant to be!

star6 · 17/10/2009 20:21

premature post
50ft - I hope it feels better soon. Do you have any pain relief you can take in the house until you can get seen?

myjob - that's always how it started out for me, before with mastitis Not to scare you. But it started with just a painful breast, then later there was a definite blockage and then started to feel flu like but X100 of a normal flu. If you start feeling ill, get seen asap. Antibiotics work quickly to clear up the infection if it's caught early. It's probably not an infection in your case, not meaning to be scary. Just saying what to look for since I'm a 4X Mastitis expert

star6 · 17/10/2009 20:22

what are hot milk undies aubergenie?

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/10/2009 20:30

Ouch MM. I get sinusitis loads, and have never found anything good at clearing it. I'm guessing you've already tried stuffing a bottle of olbas oil up your snout?

Yay for good birthday aubergenie, but less so for bad night.

I've only had one period since ds aubergenie, so it's more than likely just them settling down. Ah well, time will tell.

Is anyone else unable to get into facebook? I haven't been able to get in since we got home about 5pm - tells me that my account is unavailable due to site maintenance, but dh can still get in, which seems v odd .

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/10/2009 20:31

Oh, forgot to put sympathies for your breast myjob. I would do whatever star says, as she's def the most experienced with this on the thread!

OP posts:
star6 · 17/10/2009 20:41

I can get on csws without problems.
myjob - also take your own advice that you gave me a few days ago re: breast - sit in a hot bath or put a hot water bottle on it, massage immediately if a lump or blockage is apparent... or was the 50ft who said that? sorry... brain lapse...

star6 · 17/10/2009 20:46

ummmm that last post sounded really weird.
I meant to say...
csws, I can get on fb without any problems...
oh god.

that looks really horrible

star6 · 17/10/2009 20:47

oh my god I'm laughing uncontrollably right now looking at that line
"I can get on csws without any problems"

Hot Milk Star. Basically bfing/maternity undies that don't look like something your great auntie Gladys would wear. I think it might be a big hint that he's not getting enough bedroom action.

CSWS - Sounds like it is probably just your body getting back to normal, but it is still a bit exciting! I went out for dinner with some friends on Thursday night and one of them has just discovered she's expecting number three. Completely unexpected and she found out the day after she'd stayed up all night drinking and singing karaoke. Oops.

50ftQueenie · 17/10/2009 21:34

Myjob - Thats how it started with me when I got my nearly bout when M was a couple of weeks old. I thought I was suffering sleep depravation but then twigged what it was. Ouch if it is.

Star - I got very confused when I saw your post as I missed CSWS asking about FB. I thought, ooer, what have I walked in on?! Oh and that was a combination of my advice and Myjob's!

CSWS - Somewhere in the house we have some Olbas Oil, but I don't know where! I used it to massage into my shoulder when sitting up all hour feeding tiny M almost crippled me. Oh the joy. For the moment pain killers have helped and I'll get some Olbas Oil tomorrow. I'll try to get to the doctor on Monday if it's still bad.

Aubergenie -I am very of the Hot Milk undies. I'm am too busty for them, they don't go up to my size! Hurrah for lovely birthday, Haroo for bad night.

Honeymoonmummy · 17/10/2009 21:37

Meh meh meh can i join the feel like shit club?? I've caught Poppy's tummy bug - I NEVER get tummy bugs Between me with my nausea and vomiting and DH's bad back we're thinking of training Poppy to change her own nappies...

I've just managed some toast and a chocolate digestive and I'm off to bed. We were going to liverpool philharmonic tmrw to see We're going on a bear hunt too.

Poppy's barely eaten in 48 hours apart from mummy milk. I've spoken to NHS helpline and they've got us on some re-hydration sachets, can't remember the name.

Sorry it's all me me me tonight, I have read but then duly forgotten

Night all!

Honeymoonmummy · 17/10/2009 21:38

Oh and I was up about 6 times in the night with her. Meh

pepperrabbit · 17/10/2009 21:40

evening all,
J had a lovely birthday , the boys enjoyed unwrapping all her presents and playing with them!! and DH made a fantastic cake, so v successful all in all. Tiny bit late for bedtime in all the excitement so I've only just finished dinner, and they were all in bed at 8.15 so we'll see what they're like tomorrow...
at a period every 2 years - mine are every 2 1/2 weeks at the moment. No fun at all . DH is like I do this as a personal slight!
Anyway, LOL at star and CSWS! You should be more careful in your potential conditions..
