Here we are, in honour of baby O and the first tooth through.

I have myself with gloves and frog catching equipment.

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 28/09/2009 22:44

Flippin perhaps seductively licking spoon whilst whipping up batch of barabrith, with laughing, cake-mixture spotted children of course!

PMSL laughing jennster!!!!

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 28/09/2009 22:46

And of course saus will be enthroned on a tower of saus'n'mash, MIL being buried by avalanche of mash in a 'reetbobbydazzler' style

jenn I do know of the fairy pics, funnily enough. I saw them on the antiques roadshow. The photographer's daughter was there with the originals! (apparently it was a hoax)

grumpy Ah an apron/sling in one or a special apron to go over your sling so your baby + sling don't get dirty, good idea. I'll be one of the 1st to buy. I've been known to have C covered in biscuit crums/tomato sause while eating with her asleep in the sling.

spangle I think it would be sort of a nice surprising/surreal image to have me with baby at village fete with latex apron around my waist or something. Oooh, I've just thought that a latex apron would be really useful for work. Better than those stupid plastic ones that tear all the time

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 28/09/2009 22:48

Belgian I shall call it the 'Slapron'

Right off to bed ladies as I am an hour ahead and have just realised the time!

hehe, just had to catch up on all the posts flying whilst i was slowly typing my earlier post.

flippineck · 28/09/2009 22:49

belgian - when DD1 was in the sling I used to put a teatowel over her so I could eat. Now I just pick the food out A's hair...poor neglected second child.

JennsterFrogSaviour · 28/09/2009 22:50

bon soiree Grumpy

Momino · 28/09/2009 22:50

could our border collie be in the photo shoot? he's very much a part of my life as are the children.

llareggub · 28/09/2009 22:51

Do you think other post-natal threads are like this? I'm chuckling to myself. I'm glad I've got a baby apron; it is a good excuse for the mess my tummy was in pre-kids.

You know I mopped the floor earlier and when I poured the water away I thought a housecoat might be quite handy. Hmm....

Momino · 28/09/2009 22:52

flippin, funny, i've had the same problem with Harper: biscuit/toast crumbs in her hair, bless her.

OP posts:
Momino · 28/09/2009 22:54

george in a smoking jacket and slippers?

FiByTheSea · 28/09/2009 22:54

I would love a frilly apron aka 1940/50's styleee. I found this which made me larf at the title but I think i'd have to make my own as It was one of these long pinny style ones I pictured in my head

SpangleMaker · 28/09/2009 22:55

Belgian I have to say I would feel a little bit nervous entering the delivery room to be greeted with mw in full rubber ensemble But I could see how it may be useful, although I'm sure I gave birth very tidily

llareggub · 28/09/2009 22:55

I love it Dandy!

I think it should have the feel of a Desperate Housewives episode.

flippineck · 28/09/2009 22:55

I'm going to be chiuckling to myself all night about this conversation. Might be the only thing that keeps me sane through the hours of grumpiness from one or both of my girls. Night all!

Momino · 28/09/2009 22:56

dandy/llare, love those hats too!

Belgianchocolates · 28/09/2009 22:56

x posts galore.

PMSL at the thought of sausage's MIL How evil of you grumpy

I'm glad my dh isn't here to think I'm going mad. He just wouldn't understand. But at least he's stopped frowning/mocking when I tell him about what's going on on here.

reward charts don't work with us. Somehow the dcs always get their hands on the stickers/a pen and put stickers over the whole chart rendering it utterly useless.
3-2-2.5-1 works very well with us though. I can't remember last time I actually reached 1 or that I had to put one of them in the corner.

I think it's important to have a few clothes that fit well while waiting to shrink back to your old size. For me it makes me feel a litle less fat and frumpy. This summer I had 2 skirts that were wash and wear and the other thing I've been living in are my pre-preg leggings because they're veeerrrryyy stretchy.

SpangleMaker · 28/09/2009 22:59

Oh Fi my Nana had a drawer full of those! I should have had them after she died.

FiByTheSea · 28/09/2009 22:59

grumpy your collies could just do the french look night night if i've missed you.
