What size are your dc? Mimi is 6.5F. Is she ginormous?

Those boots are gorgeous, I'd wear them!

G is a 4.5F, but I think his feet are small still.

SuperSoph73 · 18/11/2009 14:46

Afternoon all.

Ellie - thanks for the big hug.
Sal - no, I'm definitely overweight and I haven't helped matters today by eating a slice of choccie cake (made by a colleague), slice of apple strudel (made by the chef at school) & a bag of crisps this morning. And there's me supposedly giving up dairy - bah humbug!!

Have just got this this and this for Sam for Christmas All 3 for 69 quid, not bad I say.

SuperSoph73 · 18/11/2009 14:49

Oh Scorps, love those boots. Wish I was your daughter I have no idea how big or small Sam's feet are as he won't allow me to put shoes on him to gauge what size he is. It's getting a bit annoying because now that he's standing up and will take a few steps when we're holding on to him, I really really want to get him some shoes. That and he won't keep his blinkin' socks on

MyMamaToldMe · 18/11/2009 14:59

Love those boots Scorps - they are lovely! Gigi is a size 5F and has been for a while now. We fisrt took her to get her feet measured in summer when she started walking and then again to get her some winter shoes and were really surprised that her feet were still the same size! I thought they grew quickly at this age?!

KnitterInTheNW · 18/11/2009 15:15

George's feet didn't grow for ages, then finally grew enough to get new shoes, then 6 flipping weeks later he needed new ones again! He had just had a massive growth spurt everywhere though.

Scorps · 18/11/2009 15:57

Mimi had 2 pairs of new shoes and a pair of (cheap) Next boots 8 weeks ago, all size 5F only 8 week ago. Now she is a size and a half bigger! Have saved shoes for Maisie

Bloody tinternet just went down and lost my post, raahhh.

Cant be arsed to type again, was twaddle anyway.

Hahahah to scorpios dh, karma indeed biting him on the bum!

MistergodthisisSal · 18/11/2009 21:23

Glad he's ok, Scorp! Now that he is -

Love those boots, Scorp! Milly's quite the fashionista, hey!

Soph, brilliant Christmas gifts! R's got that walker, and loves it to bits!

Feet - Roelof is size 6 in trainers, or 6H in leather shoes that has less "give". Fat little feet His wellies are a size 6, but is too big, really. He outgrew his size 4's though, and for something he wears 20 mins at a time, I'm not buying new ones - he just wears thick socks with them! I guess they make them bigger.

When we had him measured (Russell and Bromley), they said that we have to get him remeasured every 4 to 6 weeks, as that is the average time before they need bigger shoes. As his shoes costs the same / more than mine, it came as a bit of a shock to the system!

I know we've got a couple of pairs (2) currently going at once, but when we have to buy the next size up, I'm going to stick to 1 pair only. It's just such a waste otherwise - breaks my heart when perfectly new shoes become unusable so soon. I'm clearly a cheapskate - my poor son is going to be so unfashionable!

KnitterInTheNW · 18/11/2009 22:22

G has these shoes and some wellies. He had loads in the summer though, shoes, sandals, jellies, crocs... (I blame it on the novelty of having a child who could wear teeny tiny shoes!)

MistergodthisisSal · 18/11/2009 22:27

Love those! And really practical too, as will look gorgeous with everything.

I'm with you on the novelty thing though - couldn't help myself the first time we took him to get measured, it was all just so cute! Luckily for the purse, there was a sale on at the time, so at least we saved something that way!

KnitterInTheNW · 18/11/2009 22:34

Ronnie Barker photo on FB Sal...

MistergodthisisSal · 18/11/2009 22:46

Thanks! Love 'em, so very you!

MistergodthisisSal · 19/11/2009 09:59

Good morning ladies! How is everyone?

Not much to report here, was hoping you'll have some news for me! So come on then...

SuperSoph73 · 19/11/2009 15:02

Afternoon all.

Sal - don't worry, DS1 only ever has 1 or 2 pairs of shoes on the go and he's 7. I'm a very cheap, cheapskate

On the news front Sam went for a check-up today with regard to his hearing & apparently he can hear perfectly. I'm very about this though as his previous 2 hearing tests have shown (apparently) hearing loss in both ears. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining if he doesn't have any hearing loss I just wonder if the doc was looking at the right notes ..... especially as he called him Alessandro once!! I did then say "No, this is Sam" and he apologised because he had seen a lot of children. So I kept saying to him "are you sure" over and over again He's got to go back in 6 months so we'll see what they say then!

Scorps - ha ha Your poor DH

MistergodthisisSal · 19/11/2009 15:24

Hmm Soph, I'd be the same! It's either brilliant news or not, but a little disconcerting not knowing for definite. Hmm. It is odd, but I really hope for Sam's sake it's true.

Scorps · 19/11/2009 15:54

Fingers crossed Soph, though it does sound odd

I am LOL how we all wish DH bad things (but not super bad iyswim)

I am OLD tomorrow. 25. Eeek.

OP posts:
SuperSoph73 · 19/11/2009 15:58

Sal - so do I. However, I'm not overly worried as he can definitely hear and is making all the right noises in regard to starting with speech. We'll just keep an eye on him & if anything changes we'll contact the doc.

Went to see a friend this morning and she's got a new kitten. Apparently he said "Tiggy" which is the kitten's name. I was in the bathroom at the time and didn't hear him, but bless her for thinking he said it I must admit though when I said "say bye-bye" he came out with "bye-bye" in a very clear voice. Normally he just makes the b sound, so who knows

SuperSoph73 · 19/11/2009 16:01

Scorps - I know, aren't we dreadful .... mmwwaahhh ha ha

TBH I'm not speaking to you though ... 25 pah

Scorps · 19/11/2009 16:06

I am very childish though... i keep changing DH's FB status. Todays is:

is going to the doctors today to get my balls checked - one is there, two is there...oh yes there's three.....phew!

I have done several, about things, boob implants all sorts LOL. He looks like this at me
