'we were on a break' LOL

yes it's a very long thread, I reread it sometimes and can't believe the earlier posts of how he treated me. Yes it's going to be a long process but ATM I'm having a good run of positive feeling

Hi Scorps,

I ended my first marriage in divorce 2 years ago now. We parted as friends, but because we hadnt been living separately for more than is it 6months? Or 2 years? I had to petition for divorce citing 'unreasonable behaviour' which I think is what you would be wanting to do. You should be able to come up with some pretty good reasons why you need him out of your life....I went through a website called 'Quickiedivorce.com' It cost me £65 for the whole thing and they were fabulous. Later in the divorce Court fees ran me £300 which I split with my partner. The whole thing took about 6 months to go through. However it may take longer for you because you have custody to go through and it depends if he is happy for you to take custody or not. That doesnt mean you cant squeeze money out of him though! Quickiedivorce, or your soliticor will help you with that bit.

Divorces mainly involve lots of repeated paperwork bouncing back and forth, between you and partner and then between you and the courts as they decide the case.

Good Luck.

Good morning! Dh working from home today, so we had a lovely big breakfast together here after dropping R at nursery. With him now working, I have to start creating some kind of order in what I call home but more realistically resembles a bomb site...

Probably best for me to avoid MN for a bit anyway, as I just posted something on a thread that I think people should take responsibility for their children, whether that involves time, money, energy, whatever. I know in my head what I meant - I love big families and think that's the best way in most situations (coming from a big family, which was brilliant), but I think if you don't even want to give proper attention to one or feed them or whatever, you shouldn't go around having 7 etc etc and then complain about "someone" not helping you out. I just know that's going to backfire and I'll be called something or other, so I better run now while I can! It's one of these bf/ff stah/woh kind of debates - just stay away, it never ends well...

chipmonkey · 03/03/2010 11:04

Do stay on MN Sal, just hang out here and we won't tell anyone we've seen you!

MisSalLaneous · 03/03/2010 11:11

I don't know why I get involved when I don't really want to get in an argument! Maybe deep down I'm spoiling for a fight, having pms and everything.

Oh, and surely anything is better than the tidying up that I'm really supposed to have been doing for the last hour! I'm weird - I love cleaning - washing windows, vacuuming - hell, I even have a special place in my heart for sugar soap wipes on the skirting! But tidying up... hate it with a vengeance.

SuperSoph73 · 03/03/2010 12:30

Hey all. Scorps - well done you Can't advise on anything to do with divorce I'm afraid, but so lovely to hear you sounding so upbeat.

Sal - you freaky person you Please feel free to come round & clean our house any time you like. That way you can also enjoy some sunny weather

Took DS2 to paed yesterday as he's got quite bad reflux & has had a bad chest & snotty nose for a while now. He's got some antibiotics for his chest & a tablet to take every morning to stop him vomiting, so we'll see how it goes. I was getting a bit worried about him as you could see that he was getting thinner. Hopefully he'll gain a bit of weight now though

MisSalLaneous · 03/03/2010 13:11

Hehehe, I just have to come over here and chat:

Peachy, every time I read something where someone calls you "Preachy" it makes me chuckle. Obv first part of your new name etc, but I find it particularly funny as you're so not. You're not having pms too, are you? Want to join me and go shout at some people??

Soph - ooh, ooh, is that an invite??? How many bottles of sugar soap do you think I'd be able to take on a flight before they bring out the bomb detectors?

SuperSoph73 · 03/03/2010 13:48

LOL Sal You're more than welcome any time, just give us a little warning before you turn up Not sure about the sugar soap LOL

MisSalLaneous · 03/03/2010 14:31

Trust me, it's brilliant. That and caramel wafer thingies and coffee yoghurt. You should spend more time with me, I'll introduce you to all kinds of wonders...

SuperSoph73 · 03/03/2010 14:34

I don't doubt ....

LadyBee · 03/03/2010 20:24

hullo

Sorry I disappeared, I fell into a rather large TTC-shaped hole and became all a bit too me-me-me to be very nice to have around.

but I have some good news - I'm a tiny bit pregnant .
Took a test today and got the thumbs up, so am tentatively happy and relieved.

ThePFJ - congratulations on your PG!!

and Scorps, I've been keeping a watch on your thread and been pleased to see that you do seem to have turned a corner - it must be a lovely feeling to realise that you can fancy other people, I know that's something you thought might not ever happen again.

Hello Sal! Don't you dare leave just as I find my way back.

So much to catch up on but a steak dinner is about to be delivered to me -- DH is a bit excited about our news

MisSalLaneous · 03/03/2010 20:33

Whoooooo hooooooo, hello Ladybee!!! I've thought about you a lot lately, wondering what you're up to. Really missed you around.

FANTASTIC news, huge congratulations! (special news, so limits on crazy grins are off for the moment)

ThePFJ · 03/03/2010 22:37

Congrats lovely Ladybee!!

Have some mini-eggs!!

xxxx

ThePFJ · 04/03/2010 15:33

Looks like I've probably lost this new little one, but I can always try again.

Big hugs and good luck, I'll be back when I stop snotting into my mini-eggs.

xxx

MisSalLaneous · 04/03/2010 15:35

Oh dammit dammit dammit, I'm so sorry PFJ. xxx

Scorps · 04/03/2010 16:59

Ladybee you are so clever and fabulous to get pg yay well done!! Yes it is v weird. I do actually fancy other men!! I haven't fancied anyone but K for ten years, I thought that was me iyswim, but no! Lol. Don't want a man yet though.

Pfj- I'm so sorry. Have you mc before? I've had 1. Look after you xx

I'm so very very tired. And I miss sex. So there, that's me

OP posts:
chipmonkey · 04/03/2010 21:37

PFJ, I'm so sorry. After all the crap you've been through as well.

Ladybee, congratulations!

LadyBee · 04/03/2010 21:51

Oh no ThePFJ, I'm so sorry. I've miscarried before too and to be honest, I'm fully expecting this pregnancy not to hold - a mixture of self-protective pessimism and second-guessing the 'I don't feel pregnant' lack of symptoms.

Saw that you're starting to think about potty-training, Sal. I think we're a while away from that. B is just starting to pat his bottom when he wants changing but can't pull his pants down or up properly. And always, without fail, says 'no' when I ask him if he's done a poo, even when he clearly has

Ugh, I'm getting a cold - sinus and sore ears right now. Think I need to go to bed.

chipmonkey · 04/03/2010 23:30

Oh no, not something you need when pg either, Ladybee. I remember having very bad sinusitis on ds3 and trying to fix it with olbas oil. Not Very Effective.

MisSalLaneous · 05/03/2010 09:58

Honey's the other thing - we went to Prague for Christmas when I was 6 months pregnant, and had The Worst Cold In History (said she). Couldn't even buy paracetamol anywhere, so ended up eating a jar of honey on my own! Not that it really helped that much, mind.

LadyBee · 05/03/2010 20:33

I was hoping to get some saline drops and paracetamol today but didn't get a chance to step away from work. I keep forgetting that I had that positive test, and want to reach for the high-strength stuff. Haven't quite got my had around this.

Poor old B is suffering the bug too. I've now got a scratch throat and I guess he does too - I asked him and he said it was ow-ie. He's learning lots at the moment although still not able to pronounce things very well - lots of guessing still needed on our part and interpreting. But he's picked up 'no I'm not' just recently and responds with that to any phrase starting with 'you're ...'. I think he picked it up from my CM's daughters.

ThePFJ · 06/03/2010 23:07

Good luck Ladybee - am keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Just got back from hospital, turned out to be an ectopic so there goes my fallopian tube.
Still in shock, am in bed resting. Very sore.

Will try to get pregnant again when I recover though! I am still optimistic.

Hugs to you all.

XXX

chipmonkey · 06/03/2010 23:10

Aw PFJ!

It only takes one tube to conceive. You will succeed again, I know it!

ThePFJ · 06/03/2010 23:20

HUGHUG!!

Thank you

MisSalLaneous · 06/03/2010 23:21

PFJ. I don't really know what to say, but I am thinking of you. xxx

And yes, to echo chipmonkey - you will succeed again. In the meantime, please take good care of yourself.
