Ellie - ever since the day he kissed her, even when I didn't know, he has been so different. He always asks for things, outings instead of telling me. He is better with dc, fabulous with me and Maisie bump, ad hasn't gone out really. He wants to do two boxig things and I feel funny about it, but I have to let go a little at some point.

If I end up living by her I just do; I can bet he won't even look at her. She is incredibly different to me - uneducated, from a 'bad' family, behaves very differently etc - not his usual type at all. It was never about her iyswim.

all fab with dc, mimi saying a couple of words and boys are great.

Hello everybody! Just caught up with posts - glad to hear all good (well, still alive - BR!) with you all.

Ellie, congrats on house!

And Ladybee, even though you might not see this, you sound so happy - huge congratulations to you too. Bet you're going to miss DS, but I think it would be fabulous to have time for just the two of you too.

Well, here: Back in London. It felt so good to be back home, even though I had a great holiday too. Dh had to come back earlier for work, and in the end I missed him SO much. Big soppy, me.

Mom's op didn't go as planned - basically they operated, but it bled too much so they couldn't remove the tumour safely. They are now going to operate again on the 11th, this time through her scull, and they have to cut off all her hair. Mom being mom is fine with it though - not the drama queen type, and very positive. I wanted to cut all my hair off as well at the same time so that I knew how she felt, but she thought I cracked up and made me promise not to.

Started traveling home yesterday morning at 10am (first couple of hours were driving), then flying (with 2 stopovers in between) since. Got through Heathrow at 11:30 this morning, home at 1pm. It's safe to say I'm shattered!

R is having a fabulous time with dh whilst I lie here doing nothing important things. It was so cute to see the reaction on his face when dh met us at the airport. Poor sod has been waiting there since 9am with a big bunch of flowers - apparently he had 4 offers. Sod.

MistergodthisisSal · 31/10/2009 16:20

Hellloooooooo!!!! Speak to me, I missed you!

Hey Scorps! Hope you're having a relaxing evening.

Now to track down the others - how very dare anyone not be on here over the weekends?! ;)

MistergodthisisSal · 02/11/2009 09:12

Good morning. Hope everyone had great weekends. I have a mountain of laundry to do, but was hoping I could have the excuse to chat on here instead whilst R is sleeping... Gmpf. Guess it's cleaning then.

EllieG · 02/11/2009 13:40

Yey! Sal's back! FINALLY I will have someone to talk to!

Glad you are OK, sorry your Mum's op didn;t go as planned, will have all my fingers crossed for the next one though.

Mol has dodgy tum today so got sent home from nursery. She is fine in herself though, just pooing lots, so I get two days at home with her yey! We've had a lovely mnorning playing, and my Mum came for coffee, and now she's asleep and I am on internet busy with housework. Could get used to this.

MistergodthisisSal · 02/11/2009 13:53

Hey Ellie!!! :D Tried sending you a message on FB last night as you were busy ignoring me, but it crashed and I got fed up with stupid computer.

There seems to be a lot of stomach bugs around at the moment - hope it sorts itself out quickly and that you have a lot of (non-smelly) fun together!

R's got Boppin Bunnies in half an hour, but I have to give him a bath first as he smells. He fell asleep last night without his bath, and I didn't have the heart to. I'll just give him a quick wash and then dress him warmly.

Am making chicken casserole for tonight to make up for my lack of cleaning... Don't think I'm going to be good at this cleaning malarky. Luckily dh won't be too shocked. /

MistergodthisisSal · 02/11/2009 17:17

Hey Ellie, where have you gone??

And where is everyone??

EllieG · 02/11/2009 20:03

Beats me, it's like a flippin' ghost town round here lately, I thought everyone had buggered off and started a new thread without me for a few days!

Not seen anyone apart from knitter and scorps and br for days now, and them only sporadically. Dunno where everyone has got too. Probably busy with half term and stuff I suppose, but if they don't hurry up and come back we are going to have Serious Words when they do, or I'm going to Netmums instead

MistergodthisisSal · 02/11/2009 20:21

I've checked out Netmums (only "what's on", not quite gone the forums route just yet! ) today - how bad is that?! Hope the deserters are happy. (again) - my face is starting to go funny.

I assume Ladybee is still on honeymoon - we need others to help us gather the troops again (or all get pregnant, was good posting then!)

How are you re work now?

After eventually giving in, I spent a lot of the day cleaning. I considered calling up an agency looking for work again!

Oh, and I cooked dinner. It's hard work this stay-at-home-ing for a slattern like me...

EllieG · 02/11/2009 20:30

Work's alright. Would rather not be there though am trying not to think about it, I have to stay positive 'cos I haven;t actually got a choice. And Molly is super happy at nursery, so am not worried, just would like a bit more time with her sometimes. But having flexi-time helps, as I get to finish early once a week or so, and the odd sneaky afternoon just her and me.

Am supposed to be working tonight after having the day off with Molly but the lure of internet is too strong....

Well done you on cleaning AND dinner. I can only manage one or the other these days! Am not very fond of tidying, tbh

MistergodthisisSal · 02/11/2009 20:54

Well, even if not ideal then, at least it gives you the flexibility a new job might not. Great re nursery, it's so good to know they actually have fun there. That's the reason I'm keeping R in nursery one day a week - I honestly believe it's good for them sometimes.

I'm a little worried about exactly how good I'll be for him at home, to be honest. Being an only child, I can clearly see how much he loves the interaction with other kids when on holiday etc. I'm going to look at play groups in the area - something structured where they interact, I think. Also want to take him swimming, even though the idea of me in a costume is really frightening.

PeachyInCarnivalFeathers · 02/11/2009 20:58

I've beenr eading Ellie, just been a bit low (but feeling better now- the wonders of meds).

MistergodthisisSal · 02/11/2009 21:08

Hello Peachy! Am so sorry to hear you've been feeling down, but good that meds have started working. Nice to "see" you again. x

MistergodthisisSal · 03/11/2009 11:10

Morning all. Hope you're well. I'm feeling a bit paranoid that no-one likes me. You will tell me if I've offended anyone, won't you?!

Ellie, how are you and Molly today?

Well, nothing exciting happening here. I've started a low-carb diet thing this morning, as I've been invited to my ex-work's Christmas party and I need to do damage control re SA and pretend I'm young and snazzy. Or at least not a complete frump. (Well, for the one night only anyway.)

SuperSoph73 · 03/11/2009 15:20

Afternoon all. Have you missed me???? Sorry about going AWOL but last week was half term and my mum and stepdad were here and the week before that the kids got sick & then I got sick & DH went away so had to deal with it all on my own - aarrgghhh! Fortunately I got a sick note from the doc so I could be at home.

Not much to report tbh. Had a great week with my mum and stepdad & DH and I got to go out to dinner on our own for a change as we had babysitters Was a great night. The kids loved it as well & of course they saw a huge change in Sam - stepdad hadn't seen him for 9 months and mum hadn't seen him in 6 months. They were completely bowled over with him

Anyway, going to try and catch up on what's been going on with you lovely ladies recently.

MistergodthisisSal · 03/11/2009 16:23

Hello Soph. Aww, sounds like a lovely week with your mum and stepdad (and hell before, a good thing you had a break last week!).

at Sam impressing them! (well, I know you work hard every day with Sam, but love the picture of him showing off!) Bet you were so proud.

R's having an afternoon nap, and I've done all the things I "had to" (am being really strict with myself, otherwise would have to call in those crazy ladies from How Clean is Your House), so now just sitting here overdosing on coffee.

Dh and I have decided to try for another baby, and I wish it would happen. Am way too unorganised to bother with temperatures or calendars or stuff, just being all lovely-lovely lately. sorry, tmi. Keep your fingers crossed for me, please.

SuperSoph73 · 03/11/2009 16:25

Well, I thought it was going to take me AGES to catch up but it has been a bit quiet on here recently.

Sal - sorry to hear about your Mum's op, fingers crossed for the next one. You did make me smile re cutting all your hair off. My mum would also have thought I'd gone stark staring bonkers

Scorps - am very about you still being practically weightless Are you going for a home birth this time then?

Ellie - oooo, how exciting, buying a house. I just refused to think about it when we bought ours & that way I didn't get in a panic ..... much!!!!!!

SuperSoph73 · 03/11/2009 16:28

Hey Sal, how exciting, trying for another LO. Am sending loads of luck your way.

Sam is doing really well at the mo. He pulls himself up to standing at any opportunity and drives all the therapists mad as he absolutely refuses to crawl. He can also get up a hell of a speed in his baby walker now ... he nearly broke my stepdad's ankle last week - ouch! And I swear he actually said "hewo" to his brother this morning

Got to go for now as DS1 wants to play pinball on my machine before we go home

MistergodthisisSal · 03/11/2009 16:37
  • well, you wanted Sam to be independent, not his fault if people can't keep their ankles out of the way! Have a good evening. x
PeachyInCarnivalFeathers · 03/11/2009 19:00

Aw Soph,LOL- well done Sam

Bit spirited isn't he?

Sal good luck! Your Mumsopunds amazing.LOL at the ahir- mine would think I was a loon too.

All OK here, bas doing fine- can put a few words together now (usually 'do it'when toolazy to do it himself ). Still cried when he sees CM but I know he stops within minutes so although I dont like it I can live with it, OYSWIM? Looking at a palce at a school with a speciaoist AS calss for ds1 at comp so crossed fingers please. MA going OK but I find the classes ahrd going as there arefew SW's(sorry Ellie!) who make comments about the 'poor council'when talking about repsite etc and a few people(one teacher, one ????? prick with a degree in philosophy, no job and a habit of hanging about courtrooms from what I can see) who keeps telling us that AS /ADD etc are just MC excusesfor bad behaviour.

But apart from the twats odd one or two, its good

Scorps · 03/11/2009 19:17

Bugger off - Netmums, you must be desperate! Lol

sal, we go to playgroups alot and mimi loves it. I likethe tea and toast!! Yay about dc2.... Though I think I knew anyway? Can't remember !!

Ohh activity on the thread!!! Its been so quite on here I even stopped lurking for a while so glad to see everyone back

Scorpio tis definately bout time we saw a pic of millie bump. Sound like you had a good spend up in mothercare.

Peachy sorry u've been feeling low, glad the meds are helping, looks like were all around again to listen if u need to vent.

Hows the weather out there now Soph? Still sunny? I debated getting hats and gloves out today, winter is def on its way.

Nothing much to report here, been on a mission to loose the half a stone I put on during the summer hols in anticipation of putting it back on over xmas. LOL if only I could walk past the tin of chocolates without my hand slipping in for 'just one more'

DD2 still not saying much, lazy trout, but has developed an almost perfect temper tantrum, mummy's girl

Denny185 · 03/11/2009 20:31

Is anyone taking LO's out to fire works this year?
