Hellllooooo, echo's bounce back to Ellie.

Came on to catch up and surprisingly quick, cant you just tell Sal and ladybee are away.

BR, sorry to hear about your arms, must be massively frustrating when you cant even scratch ur own nose!!

Not much to report here, DD2 starting to have good kicking paddies when she cant get her own way and DS learnt which buttons to press to start her off. DD1 just got back from 3 day school trip and was surprsingly quiet without her, I got home from work at 6.30 to find the arguments had very quickly resumed.

EllieG · 22/10/2009 09:27

Hey denny!
Mol has mega-strops too now, she's a proper little drama queen now bless her. Some of them actually just make me laugh though, it's impossible to take it too seriously because it just looks too silly.

One thing that I am wondering about though - she used to go up to bed at 6.30 and asleep by 7 always, and suddenly she's just not tired then, and is staying up for another hour, which seems quite late for a little one to me. If she needs to go to bed so late (last night she didn't drop off til 8.40 because my Dad let her sleep all afternoon) do you think it's a sign that she doesn't need her nap anymore? I am hesitant to drop it because I think if she goes to sleep it means she does need it, but bedtime is getting a bit late.

EllieG · 22/10/2009 09:29

Ooo and big news in the EllieG household is that we are buying a house! It's only little but is nice, and we heard we had the mortgage approved yesterday so is all good to go!

KnitterInTheNW · 22/10/2009 10:55

Brilliant news on the house Ellie!
I'm still chomping at the bit to get into ours and start sorting everything out. We're still in Leicester! going home on the 30th whether it's ready or not, we'll have been here for 6 weeks by then.

We had a lovely couple of days in London in our bargain Travelodge room, only G didn't sleep at all well so we were all knackered by the time we came back. Was brilliant for G and DH to get to spend a couple of days together though so totally worth it.

How long does Mol nap for, Ellie? Maybe she just needs a shorter nap in the day, I know that if G sleeps too long during the day he doesn't sleep well at night, but equally if he hasn't had enough sleep during the day he doesn't sleep well at night either.

Hi Denny!

BunnyRabbit · 22/10/2009 12:30

Heeeelllooooo..... sorry people keep visiting me so have had no time to MN for ages. Thank you all for your well wishes and kind thoughts.

Awww KITN, That's nice that they had some quality time together.

Congrats on the house Ellie, I would also suggest cutting her day time sleep. DS2 still sleeps 1hr 20 to 30 but he is at nursery and we generally knacker him out at weekends. This is the age where they start to cut down.

Hope everyone is well. Oh and Sal, how is being a WAHM going??

BR

Denny185 · 22/10/2009 18:54

Congrats on the house buying.

Hi knitter, long time no see, must be more organised and sort out a meet up

Naps are a bit hit and miss here, I just play it by ear, if shes ratty she goes to bed, if not she doesnt. If in bed she sleeps as long as needed, i do wake if getting too near t-time though. So can be 15 min cat nap or 4 hours, more often than not she tends to go for a couple of hours straight after lunch though.
As far as bed time goes it makes no odds on sleep during day she still gets put to bed at 7 (selfish mummy tendancies) and has to play/sing/look at ceiling till asleep.

BR - glad ur having lots of visitors - extra hands to help you out at the minute.

EllieG · 23/10/2009 12:11

Hurray people are back! I was about to flounce off to netmums if no one had posted.

Thanks for advice on naps, I might cut them down a bit. She naps for about 45mins to an hour at nursery, but an hour and a half at home and with my Dad, though my Dad let her sleep for 2.5 hours the other day, so I guess she just wasn't tired. Might cut naps to an hour perhaps and see how she gets on with that, or maybe just make sure I run her round a lot at weekends.

Glad you had a nice London trip knitter, lovely to be able to get away just the three of you

KnitterInTheNW · 23/10/2009 13:12

Oh yes Ellie, def lots of running around! G sleeps better if he's even just pushed his toy buggy round the block before teatime.

Denny185 · 23/10/2009 16:23

Ellie, you need to have another so they can fight - gets rid of lots of energy!! DC r driving us nuts at the moment if its not DD1 and DS then its DD2 and DS, never seems to be any harmony here these days.

Scorps · 24/10/2009 20:56

Ellie I think this means you are a grown up now, your own house! Fabby! Mimi has about an hour nap a day, anymore and we have wakeful nights. Not much respite for me when Maisie comes!

I feel very sorry for myself. A quarter of a molar has broken off in my mouth and I am seriously phobic. I have to normally take sedatives (prescribed) to be able to go but can't this time. I don't know what the fuck to do . Think I may go privately for this work as they may be gentler with me/allow more time?

Done a bit of Xmas shopping, lots of offers on at mo. Have spied myself a watch for my birthday too. I will be 25 >

maisie is kicking alot, well like big shifts around. 31+ weeks now.

love to all

Hi Scorps!

You remember the pink wool accident I had a little while ago?

Well it might look like this now !!
If you FB me your address I can get it in the post to you, but I'm a bit scared of it getting lost with the postal strikes. (And I need to take it to my knitting group with me a week on Wed to show it off first too...)

I'm serously phobic about the dentist too, and have been havig a LOT of toothache the last couple of weeks. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and make an appt when we get home, but I'm pooping myself already.

KnitterInTheNW · 25/10/2009 13:47

The pics don't really do the colour justice, it's a gorgeous deep raspberry, with glittery pink buttons.

EllieG · 26/10/2009 09:38

OMG hoe gorgeous is that cardi! Knitter, you are a very, very clever and talented lady.

Nice weekends all? How's the tooth scorps?

EllieG · 27/10/2009 16:02

You've all gone away again....

KnitterInTheNW · 28/10/2009 09:42

I'm here!

GEORGE HAS FINALLY CYT HIS 6TH TOOTH!!!!!

No sign of any more though... That one has been almost through for at least 6 weeks!

KnitterInTheNW · 28/10/2009 10:09

cyt???? Has...

EllieG · 28/10/2009 11:31

You've probably forgotten how to type cos it's been so long since you were on here

KnitterInTheNW · 28/10/2009 12:01

lol, yeah yeah yeah!!!!

How are you anyway?

We're going home on friday.

EllieG · 29/10/2009 10:08

Oh that sounds nice. Are you excited? Is most of the decorating done then?

I keep waking up in the night worrying about the prospect of borrowing thousands of pounds and what if something goes wrong, and how am I ever going to get everything done on time etc. Is all very distressing and I would like it just to go away now please.

KnitterInTheNW · 29/10/2009 10:24

Yes excited, and no idea how much/little decorating has been done. DH is crap on the phone and it would be easier to get George to tell me what he's done and not done

Buying a house/moving is seriously stressful, and while it's happening you can't ever see yourself not being stressed. But it's so worth it in the end. Make lists, lots of lists. I can normally sleep better if I've written down what needs doing, otherwise my brain's just going 'don't forget to do this! Don't forget to do that!' And then by the time it's time to actually do it, I'm so tired I do forget stuff.

It'll be fine in the end, promise!!!

Scorps · 30/10/2009 12:49

Hello I am not on here much as need a new laptop charger and have to find time to get round to it!!

All good here, 8 weeks today until EDD ad Xmas day lol. Am going swimming tonight but only have tiny string bikini lol. People will run

hope all house moves are good, we are waiting to move too.

OP posts:
EllieG · 30/10/2009 14:12

They won't run scorps, they will just be very jealous that you can wear something like that when PG. You waiting to move somewhere bigger? That sounds like a positive move - might be fresh start for you two maybe?

Scorps · 30/10/2009 14:21

Ellie - on a waiting list . There is a slight possible problem that I may end up living in same street/s as the girl dh snogged but I will address that when and if. Dh wants to move before Xmas but I don't, I feel 'safe' here for home birth and new baby, but deffo next year.

OP posts:
EllieG · 30/10/2009 15:51

Fair enough, you have to be comfy at moment and I can't imagine moving and being v PG. As you say, deal with street/girl thing as and when it happens - tbh, he has to be faithful for his own sake and it sounds like he has been taking a bit more responsibility for that lately.

You good otherwise? All well with boys and Mimi?

BunnyRabbit · 30/10/2009 17:15

Sorry. RL is mad at the moment.

Hope you and your LOs are all well.

DS2 talking ten to the dozen but still not walking. Ho hum.
