Right, I've finally got 5 mins while WonderPets is on (Love the vid Pigley!)

My new job: basically I went for an interveiw for some bar work at a new bar/resteraunt/hotel and he offered me hat job then, right at the end, he asked me if I had any sales experience, I have, so then he offered me another position, basically I will be selling and organising the weddings and conferences, 2 days a week, 10-4! it really is a dream job, but without Event Management experence or qualifications I just put the thught of it to one side really. (years ago a friend and I were going to start a party planning service, but thats as far as it went, just talk )

Right, Sam's starting to climb on my lap, so time for his bottle I think!

Sorry I've had no time to catch up really, where does time go?

Rumpel · 20/08/2009 19:06

WELL DONE JODIE - sounds right up your street You deserve a break.

Just a quickie here....

Was up about 4 x last night checking Calvin as I was so worried about him. He has been very poorly and he just wasn't himself yesterday. We are all quite pale of skin but he was transparent wee soul. Anway he is much better today thank goodness. More like himself and he even took his first steps with the push along baby walker and climbed up all the stairs twice himself! (me behind of course).

I started a thread about his nappy rash and some lovely MN recommended a spary - it has done the job at last.

I had a netmums meet today - sourrounded by 4 pregnant ladies it was nice to meet some new people bit TBH I wasn't the best company as both my 2 were whinging and I am tired.

DH is away for 2 weeks offshore.

Looks like my new job will be all systems go next month - it is just an intermittent thing as and when required - self-employed basis type thing but at least it is something.

Must go and have a bath to try to unwind - hope all you folks are well and beans are cooking nicely and TTCs are successful this month.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune · 20/08/2009 20:37

Jodie - congratulations that sounds a great job and dream hours!

Rumpel - Sounds like you have a lot on your pate at the moment, glad you have found a solution to the nappy rash problem. Have you got a formal diagnosis of siatica?

Disney - it sounds like Sam is communicating much better using signs than any of the babies I know trying to talk!

Bebe - sounds like you are going to have a chatterbox on your hands...

Mini - I would be furious as well(but your story did mean I got off my butt and ordered my EHIC). Hope the abs have worked.

Sweetkitty - fingers crossed for you, the 2ww is horrible, but the test I did on the first day of my period was negative! Glad school went well.

Pigley - how is the drive going?

No new news here, I am making long lists as we are off to France a week on Saturday, driving down to the Dordogne and I hate to be unprepared. Just mulling over whether to buy a sling or not, will need one when new LO gets here anyway but there are so many to choose from and A is already such a big boy. More research needed.

pigleychez · 20/08/2009 21:28

Disney- Sounds like Sam is doing well with the signing. You will have to video him and post it on fb. Id love it see it.

Jodie- Gotta love Wonderpets!
The new job sounds fantastic! Lucky you! Hope your first day went well.

Rumpel- So glad that Calvins rash is finally improving! The wonders of MN!

Well the driveway is coming on really well. The two guys work really hard and are so friendly. They are currently working on the raised edging and the crossover on the footpath and are doing the actual block paving on Saturday. Its looking very nice and cant wait to see it finished.

disneystar1 · 21/08/2009 12:06

jodie big congrats on the new job it really sounds great

pigley i will try to video him when he doesnt realise but it tends to be like when hes sleepy hes sign for his teddy or sign love teddy, food always and milk , but when i speak i always say for instance and sign thank you mummy and i also cup my hand around his so he can learn to feel the signs basically thats for when he cant see after his op so i can touch sign to him im just hoping my method is going to work and he wont be so scared when he loses his sight for a while

were going to yarmouth in the morning i cant wait im so depressed right now im thinking of getting some ad,s for a while i feel the last straw was with what my older son did something kind of finished me that day, ive cried and not eat since i know i need to get back on track and i am trying .
samuels has got ultra clingy he wont go to his dad no one it has to be me, its amazing this bond we have and i really love it, were trying to work out a routine at the moment for when he goes in, i cant see my 3 boys there all the time it would drive them mad, but i will need a break from samuel eg showers etc.... im having a bed next to him and just sleeping in a chair in intensive care, im not leaving him for 1 second whenever he and when he wakes up however long from this op it takes i will be there, he wont be able to see and this frightens me i dont know how he is going to feel but i want him to hear me feel me and know its ok, but i will need showers etc.... i guess il grab when i can,
i can stat living again when i know hes going to be ok and he comes home and its done then i can cope and begin our lives .

i didnt forget sk happy birthday have a lovely day and im glad you enjoyed the concert you sounded happy and that was lovely to hear......

mama2leah · 21/08/2009 13:11

hiya guys

well aaishah defo has reflux, been given gaviscon for her...i brought the babasling, its nice once u figure it out...means i av 2 free hands, which is brilliant...

congrats on the pregnancy libra- yippeee!
disney hope it all goes well, your in my thoughts

waves every1 else
p.s sk i went and brought a racksack thanx for the advice.

sweetkitty · 21/08/2009 19:05

M2L - sorry to hear about the reflux, hope the Gaviscon sorts it, are you BFing both of them, how's that working out and how is Leah with her new sister? How do you pronounce Aaishah? (aye-shah? aye-ish-iah? what does it mean? Sorry loads of questions

Disney - I think ADs would be good just to get you through the next few months, they won't make everything better but they will help a little bit. You have a lot to face but think forward to next Summer and Samuel being all recovered. I would check out some blind websites too they have some excellent sugning using touch for blind children.

Jodie - wow very lucky wee done you

pigley - as I said last night Abigail is a start glad the driveway is going well, we have a big dilemma coming up to move or exten probably extend, we are in a 3 bed small but detached house with a big garden, definitely need another bedroom and Bethany's extending as it's tiny and I want a bigger kitchen, a utility room and a playroom, I know want want want but there may be 6 of us living here soon

Libra - how are you feeling any MS? Enjoy your holiday Dordogne is lovely, in terms of slings, I have only used them with newborns, what about a back pack for your DH ?

Rumpel - poor wee Calvin and his poor wee bum glad is is getting better he has been through the wars

Thanks for all the birthday wishes 34 and I am having a sneaky glass of wine tonight been quite an emotional week, DD1 starting school and B finishing BFing, I know I may be pregnant but it's only a may a few glasses won't do much harm IYSWIM?

pigleychez · 21/08/2009 20:08

Disney- Have a fab relaxing holiday! You deserve it

M2L- Glad you have got the reflux sorted. Hope everything is going well with 2.

SK- Happy Birthday! Hope you had a good day.
Def have a glass of wine or two! My friend got completely drunk at our staff xmas party and found out a few days later she was pregnant. Dr told her not to worry as they are very well protected at that stage as loadsa people dont know they are pregnant yet.

Yeah, I can see the need to extend with the brood extending too!

Guys are coming tomorrow to lay the block paving for the drive

OP posts:
mama2leah · 21/08/2009 21:57

leah self weaned when i went hospital- im so sad about it, im thinking i may express it for her and see how it goes...i think im having trouble letting go!

leah wants to kiss her all the time, she is good with her, is like a baby alarm, whenever she cries she is like baby baby baby! even in her sleep so cute!

its aaeesha- meaning lol im forgotten will ask dh when he comes home

well its ramadhan for us ( the month of fasting) so busy times ahead, nope im not fasting.

tmw is my first day alone with both- any tips?

sweetkitty · 21/08/2009 22:43

M2L - I know how you mean I have felt the same this week with Bethany having her last feed, maybe in some ways it's best if you concentrate on feeding Aaishah but I know what you mean it's sad too, I know that theres special rules for nursing mothers not fasting and pregnant women too. Tips for two is first week or two can be scary but then you just work out a routine, remember people have twins and cope and you have 2 babies now, sod the housework, get as much help as you canand enjoy your beautiful babies, would love to see a pic as well could get all broody

minipinkscottish · 22/08/2009 07:18

M2L - I agree with SK enjoy the babies and look after yourself

No sign here of Abbie stopping bf I am pleased about this because I know I will be very when that happens. Some days I can still feed her 6 or 7 times...maybe more....often just for a drink or comfort She still eats 3 meals a day and drinks well from a cup too

Going to the zoo today so better get myself in gear and get ready

LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune · 22/08/2009 19:00

BOLLOCKS! I've been bleeding most of the afternoon and have had to change pads 3 times in 3 hours, stomach cramps as well.

DH being very positive but I can't see how it could be anything but a m/c.

purplejennyrose · 22/08/2009 19:13

Oh Libra - so sorry - how horrid. Can you call midwife / hospital??

I do know someone who bled really quite a lot all through her pregnancy - was very worrying but her dd is 18 months now...don't give up hope yet. x

sweetkitty · 22/08/2009 19:17

Libra - how far on are you? Phone the maternity unit at your hospital for advice you should have a scan Monday morning, do you have a drop in EPU near you? I had a heavy bleed at 9 and 10 weeks with DD1 so all not lost but I would say prepare for the worst with the cramps and bleeding sorry

pigleychez · 22/08/2009 21:28

Oh Libra
Keeping everything crossed for you that its all ok.

Well the driveway is now done and it looks fab! It looks so nice and such a professional job. The guys were so quick! Happy bunnys here!

OP posts:
LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune · 23/08/2009 09:53

Morning thank you for your kind words.
I am only 6 weeks along. Haven't called anyone yet, if it is a miscarriage there is nothing anyone can do. Will call my GP on Monday and hopefully get a referral to the EPU asap. Still bleeding but it has slowed down quite a lot so still drinking uncaffienated tea (yuck btw) and keeping fingers crossed.

Pigley - glad the driveway is finished and you like it!

Mini - how was the zoo?

SK - we do have a backpack but they are do bulky to carry around! I think I used the rational about drinking that between conception and missing your first period it's not actually attached to you and therefore can't be hurt by alchol, no idea if that's the biological truth however. Happy Belated birthday.

Disney - hope you are having a great time in Yarmouth.

mama2leah · 23/08/2009 10:38

hope everything is ok libra...

well i survived my first day, both gals were good, one was sleeping the other awake, and leah popped 3 teeth- finally!

today is my 2nd day alone with them, not that afraid now, as i know with bad days im get some good days too, but i am exhausted!

once 6-8 weeks are up, i need to sort out leah's sleeping, right now we just bring her into our bed when she wake sup as we are so exhausted, but 4 in a bed is not comfy!

those with phil and teds, do you know how i can clean the cocoon, as aaishah did projectile vomit on over and in it?

minipinkscottish · 23/08/2009 13:41

Libra - thinking about you, hope everything is ok

Zoo was fantastic...the sun was shining and the lo's had a ball...Abbie's face was priceless when she came face to face with a monkey..she loved it...so much so she didn't have her aftrnoon nap and was sitting forward in pram the whole time gazing around and taking everything in Precious!!
Pigley - sounds like you're doing great...enjoy

minipinkscottish · 23/08/2009 13:42

Oh BTW Abbie has started climbing on EVERYTHING...the table...chairs...the bed...sooooooooooo scarey...I need eyes in the back of my head and Abbie needs a baby crash helmet[wnk]

sweetkitty · 23/08/2009 18:44

Libra - I was thinking about you today and keeping everything crossed for you, phone your GP tomorrow. I got told by one MW "well if it's a mc there's not a lot we can do for you!" nice some sympathy would have been nice though.

I only had a glass and a half of wine but you still feel guilty probably not pregnant even

M2L - well done I remember how scary those first few days on my own with 2 are, it gets easier don't worry. Don't know about the P&T cocoon and washing, I lined mine with a soft blanket for B so she wasn't near the cocoon itself IYSWIM as she was pukey too

minipink - we need to go to the Zoo again DD2 loves monkeys, pushing a double up that hill thought is hard work!

JODIEwantsanewname · 23/08/2009 20:19

Libra, am thinking of you, I hope everything will be OK.

M2L, I second SK, I put a blanket under Sam, as he was a sickie baby too, but when I came to sell it I just washed it with hot soapy water and left it to dry. Came up lovely!

bebejones · 23/08/2009 20:45

Oh no Libra, hope everything is ok, sending big hugs xx

Only quick post coz I'm shattered! Actually managed to pickle some beetroot today!!! Been waiting all week! Fingers crossed it tastes alright, have to wait a month!!!! Decided to make some Apple Chutney with all the apples on my trees, thought I would give jars as presents at Xmas with some crackers & wine (it goes well with cheese!).

P has done so much walking today, really coming on well & toddles everywhere with her tongue hanging out in concentration! V cute! We have just dropped her after nap milk and made her 2 other milk feeds bigger. Substituting it with water and bigger snack. She doesn't seem to be missing it. Just need to get breakfast bottle into a breakfast beaker! Bit unsure of how to go about swapping her off formula coz of the suspected dairy intolerence, will have another go in about a month I think!! Injections this week, docs messed up the appointments! Hope it won't make her poorly!

Hope everyone is ok. Pigley - glad ur drive is sorted!!

MinnieMummy · 23/08/2009 22:05

Oh no Libra, sorry you have to wait until tomorrow to know for sure. How horrible for you.

Hope you are ok.

pigleychez · 24/08/2009 12:53

Libra.... any news??
Fingers crossed for you.

Abigail has now learnt her name which sounds very cute! TTC is in full swing here- Im worn out!
