Blimey Pigley your DH has changed his mind from 'later in the year' pretty quickly hasn't he?!!

Think you can correctly say you're 'knackered' now as I believe an original definition was 'tired out from sex' and my mum told me off for using it as it was a rude word

Ooh look, a thread I started is on the 'threads of the day' and it's all kicked off on there!!

Hi all just a quickie

LIBRA - sending you sticky vibes and massive hugs.

re Dairy intolerance - you can get Cow and gate soyamilk formula or buy cartons of soya. I have had Calvin on them the last 10 days because of his diarrhoea.

He is much better now and should make nursery on Wed, nursery are taking DD the next 3 days - hurrah!!! Feel like my head might implode as so need a break from the little darlings. DH might be home tomorrow.

xxxx to all.

Rumpel - re dairy intolerence, P has been on normal cow&gate formula since 4months and had no problems. Just when I gave her actual cows milk to drink she started being sick and having horrid nappies. Seemed odd as a.formula has cows milk in it & b.she had cows milk in cooked stuff & cereal and had yoghurts cheese etc no problem. Think I am going to ask doc this week when we go for jabs as she is still having fairly loosish poos (no sick though) TBH she hasn't been 'right' since the pig flu! Glad C is on the mend now though!

Libra - sending lots of positive thoughts your way xx

Ordered jars for chutney marathon today, am very excited...how sad am I?!?!

No real news to report here, hope evryone is ok?

Minnie- yeah he did abit didnt he! It was actually him who suggested we try now. Oh well, im not complaining! update then... Im knackered!

Rumpel- So glad Calvin is better Poor little guy has been through the wars lately.

Hope the chutney turns out ok. You can get some nice "homemade" labels on Ebay

I was very embarrased last night!!!
MIL rang telling me about how she, FIL and Granny in law have just been watching the Camcorder footage of Abigails 1st birthday.

We gave them my old Camcorder when I got a new one.
Well DH had wipped the tapes (or so he thought!) After the footage they took up pops some footage of me and friends from Yonks ago!

All hideously drunk, some swearing like troopers bouncing about on a bouncy castle! Im dreading to think what they heard!! I vaguely remember another friend filming her cleavage! Plus I remember it being a stage where my friend would say "hairy Muff" all the time instead of Fair enough!- I dont think she or GIL would get that but pretty sure FIL would!

MIL laughed about it with me, joking that maybe we had "just a few" drinks but im panicking now as to what else was on that film- It was such a long time ago!

Seeing them on sunday so that should be fun!!

Evening all, we are on the business end of the 2WW, we shall see, got to beat that pigley would be fab if we were both on the same antenatal thread, anyone else want to try and join us?

libra - thinking of you xxx

minniemummy - oh check you it's all kicking off, I'm I've never had a thread of the day (SK slopes off to think of one lol), I got my knuckles wrapped on a thread today as well

Well madam B is refusing all milk whatsoever, even tries some milkshakes (I know I'm completely against it but thought I could wean her off) but no but got thrown away, she will only eat cheese if it's on toast or pizza and yoghurt is a bit hit and miss, totally different to the other two who loved a beaker of milk morning and evening, she drinks water or very dilute orange juice

Rumpel - glad C is feeling better he has been in the wars

SK how dare someone tell you off, do they not realise you're a MN institution??! I'm childishly excited about being on threads of the day, I don't usually start threads but was just soooo bored at work today. I feel like a 'proper' MNer now, all I have to do now is get on the roundup and/or in the DM

Evening all! Back from sometimes sunny, sometimes rainy Wales. Was a good holiday - spent some time on the beach, went to a castle (DH and I are serious castle buffs, and we're indoctrinating the girls too ), generally had a good time. The cottage was lovely - converted stables on a farm, really nicely done and high chair, travel cot and stairgate all provided! Only cloud on the horizon was that we witnessed a nasty car/motorbike crash on the way home, so I might need to provide statements to the police. DD2 also saw it (DH and DD1 couldn't see because of the angle of the road) and she has referred to it quite often. However, she doesn't seem too traumatised by it, as I don't think she's old enough to appreciate the potential consequences (it looked like the biker has broken his leg and possibly some ribs but frankly, he's lucky to be alive).

Libra, hope all is well - sending positive vibes to you.

SK and Pigley, all very exciting on the TTC. Will definitely not be joining you - had an implant put in a few weeks ago so that's that!

SK, glad the first day at school went well - I was there last year with DD1, though she would have started at the same time as your DD1 if we were still in Scotland. They just look so little in their uniforms. Wait till the first time you see her do an assembly or something - I defy you not to at least get a lump in your throat then

M2L, lovely to hear about Aaishah, it sounds like you're all doing really well. Remember, get sleep while you can, and sod the housework - it can wait!

Disney, hope you're having a lovely holiday and get some much-needed R'n'R.

Rumpel, glad Calvin's rash is getting better, that must have been horrible to deal with, poor little man.

Orlaith is not yet walking, the lazy little blighter! She does climb up on the coffee table and such like but walk? Nah! I've started finally weaning her from the breast, which is making me a bit sad but I do think it's time for us. I tihnk I'm sad because I know I won't do it again. However, DH was making little noises about how he was never going to give her a bottle and put her to bed if I kept feeding, and that this was his last chance for this too. Also, I need to start travelling for work soon, so she had to get used to it. It's the same as when I weaned her off the breast during the day though - she's not anywhere as interested in bottle milk as she was in breast. She drinks at most 3 ounces then starts fiddling with the bottle . However, she loves cheese and yoghurt, so she's getting plenty dairy.

Oh, forgot to say, DD1's UTI cleared up really well with the ABs, so the lengthy wait at the emergency GP was worth it. Minipink, how's your DS's tongue??

Well, this has turned into an epistle, so I'll stop now. Hope I haven't missed anyone!

What is all this stuff about the DM, BTW? Cannot be bothered reading the threads to find out......

Hello all, I went to the EPU today and they gave me an internal scan. They can't see a sac and the lining is very thin plus still bleeding so all signs point to a complete miscarriage. They are doing bloods as well just to make sure it's not ectopic so I have to go back for another blood test on Thursday.

Poldedra the DM stuff is that the DM have decided to do a weekly column which basically lifts a thread from Mumsnet every week. Lazy journalism. The journalist whose idea it was is a mumsnetter and didn't ask permission.

SK - fingers crossed for you.

Pigley - sounds like you are busy having fun!

Rumpel - Glad Calvin is feeling better and hope you enjoy you time off.

M2L - hope you are able to start relaxing and enjoying your 2 babies and getting lots of help from everyone.

Alex has just been bawling his lungs out because I put him to nap in his travel cot, he is going to be in it all next week so he needs to get used to it.

Libra, I'm so sorry. I was thinking about you this weekend. big ((hugs)) from across the pond xx

I'm not feeling the best over here. Stuffy nose and general malaise. Blah. The weather is finally starting to cool off. Thank God. We've been having thunderstorms lately that have woken us up straight out of bed! Aidan doesn't seem phased..but eventually will cry to come to our bed. He's getting so big! Still not walking. He's so silly..he can do it, just isn't sure yet. Caught him standing unaided for ages staring at the tv before he realized and crouched down. silly boy.

Nothing yet on the work front I'm afraid. It's really bad here too. I had an offer in Oxford..very tempting to go over for a few months..work and come back. DH says would prefer not. I miss making my own money.

Hi to everyone!!

Libra - so so sorry to hear your news, I know how devastating it can be, I never thought I would be so upset over a mc, but it's a grieving process, very important you and people around you grieve for a lost baby and that they don't tell you "oh you weren't very far along" or something like that, give yourself time to heal, I wanted to be pregnant almost straight away was like an obsession, others want to wait a little. We are all here for you too.

mcchesers - hope you feel better soon and sorry about the job situation, I really do miss earning my own money, not that I have earnt any in the past 5 years

pigley - thanks yes no one knows about us TTC, they already think we are stark raving bonkers having 3, can you imagine the comments I will get with 4?

Hello, again thank you for your kind words. I hope this doesn't come across as hard hearted but I am doing ok. I have so much to do this week with finishing coursework and getting ready for france it seems more like an inconvience, which is a dreadful thing to say, I'm sure when I have more time to sit down and think about it next week it will hit me a little harder. We have already discussed the fact we are going to wait until the new year to try again.

Libra- Have a lovely relaxing holiday LIke the others have said, The next bubba will be even more special.

Its very quiet on here lately... where is everyone???

Just spent a manic evening at Ikea. Abigail decided to nly have 30 mins nap this afternoon so was moody all the way there. The traffic was terrible which madde the journey much worse. Thankfully Dinner perked her up. Bought her the Antilop Highchair that so highly recommended by MN and a cute little bed! Shes ok in the cot for now but she become such a climber it wont be long! Plus slightly paranoid as my friends LO climbed out her cot and fell and broke her wrist Anyway we have it now ready.
Also bought her a couple of placemats which she loves. She dropped them in the car so i leant round (not driving!) to return them and accidently poked her in the eye! Opps! Bad mummy! Cue lots of tired crying.
Then again we get stuck in traffic, Sat in a jam caused by a road closure watching the firemen cut someone out of a car wreck... there had been a nasty crash hence the road closure...
All in all a hectic night and im glad to slouch on the sofa!

Hope everyones well and LO's are behaving

Hi All,

LIBRA - a big hug and yep you will be more ready when it happens next time. What you going to France for? A hol?

V tired here. My 2 been up and down the last 3 nights. DH came home Tuesday so I have had more tidying and washing to do He's a right crabbit sod too so I disappeared yesterday after dropping the 2 of them off at nursery. Was so nice to have a few hours to myself - M&S ritual bacon roll and mocha and a wee wonder around. I really need bras but it is so difficult trying to get em to fit properly - a bit like jeans . I have lost a bit of weight but intend to lose another stone + so don't want to fork out too much lucre until I end up the size I am going to be IYKWIM LOL!

SK - I haven't been earning for 3 years now and find it quite tough - how do you manage - I mean that in a interested way ie give me some tips please? Have you thought up names for bubba 4 - you must be running out now

MINIPINK - IKWYM - I go between I'd love another to OMG I have no patience and don't think I could actually handle another. I find the constant cleaning, tidying so dull!

PIGLEY - we moved DD into a junior bed when she was 18 months - wanted to get her used to it as we needed the cot for C! She loves her bed and it only tooke her 3 mights to feel comfortable in it.

We all have a horrid cough but Calvin is all better now . Am off to Ceramic experience today to meet some netmum folk.

Took myself off to see Harry Potter last night - enjoyable but not as good as others I think. Was at the price £7.30 a ticket! Cost £14 by the time I bought a drink and some popcorn

Anyway must go - take care all and best of luck for all you TTC.

Squishy hugs to bubbas.

Real life has been a bit busy lately so not on here as much as I'd like.

Libra, sorry to hear about your mc, hope you get some time to yourself to come to terms with it soon.

Pigley, hope today went better for you.

Bryony seems to have really grown up in the last month, she is definitely a toddler rather than a baby now. She's just starting to say a few words, and I think she is doing some signs too but it looks like she's going to talk before she can sign, so I'm not sure whether to carry on with it.

Minipink, it's nice to hear someone else is still bfing, I am still going too although I had intended to stop by the beginning of September as I'm off to Bali by myself for a week to go to my brother's wedding. B will have a beaker of milk if necessary, she stayed a couple of days with my mum last week and was fine, but she seems quite keen on bfing still when she's with me so I'm carrying on for now. It's usually only once or twice a day. I'm not intending to express while I'm away so may well have to stop feeding when I come back, though I think I will have a go at carrying on. My mother thinks I'm mad, she keeps saying I'm doing it for me not for Bryony now, so I was feeling a bit , but dh is very supportive and thinks I should carry on as long as we both want to. Who else now qualifies as an 'extended breastfeeder?'

Sorry, too tired to catch up with everyone now, will try to pop in more often.

hello all..um so I've been lurking and hanging out but just wanted to let you all know that um..I'm about 8.5 weeks pregnant

I started TTC in July with SK, but didn't imagine I'd see a BFP the same month. I've been to see a midwife here and everything is fine..measuring a little small but a good strong heartbeat. Very excited..very scared..very much missing the NHS

Also please DO NOT say anything on FB. I haven't come out with this news to my family yet. I hope it's ok for me to hang out here with you guys. I still don't know anyone here and feel a bit out of place on the american webboards. Hope you are all doing well. eek!

My mum was def pro BF when I was pregnant but when I was expressing at 6 week I got lots of comments about stopping that soon

Mchesers! Wow! Where did that come from? Really pleased for you! Congratulations!
Dont worry your secret is safe with us!

Busy fun morning at the farm today. Abigail thought the goats walking along the aerial walkway above our heads was hilarious! Feel like a lazy mare today though as I fell asleep whist Abigail was having her nap. Must of had about 30mins. Wasnt intentional, was slumped on the sofa for a sit down and must of dozed off. Havent done that since Abigail was a newborn! Lazy cow hey!
