Evening all. Well have had a crappy few days, I am suppose to be doing a practical assessment on Saturday but the providers have fucked up and haven't got me a body to practice on so I have spent the last few days running around like a headless chicken trying to sort it out and have had to throw a programme which took me HOURS to design out of the window and come up with one this afternoon for Mr Average. Anyway.

I know it's sods law but I am genuinely happy that I am pregnant, I am not even dreading pregnancy even tho I hated it last time because I am not now commuting to london 5 days a week and DS goes to nursery 1.5 days a week and we have fab creche at our leisure centre as well.

Rumpel - oh your poor little chap, that must have been horrid for him and I am
you didn'tget more help from NHS24. I hope he is feeling better now. what is sciica and what do you do again?

bebe - I would spend ALL my wages in Baby Gap there stuff is so cute,in fact the only reason I would like a girl next time is for their dresses.

Pigley - we live in Farnham. Congrats on the green light and good luck

Sweetkitty - are schools going back already! It doesn't feel like it's been that long, mothers with older children may disagree with me however!

TheREd - I am convinced that the LOs think walking is a good idea because they can cause more mischief, how much mischief can be caused by finger pointing - none and therefore not a valuable skill

Jodie - have you come back from Heaven yet? sounds like you were having a great time.

Poledra - how is Orlaith now? did the antiboitics work?

TheRedS - part 2- cereal was my staple food at uni, I still adore it there are just so many different kinds that there is indeed one for every occasion. re: son and nursery, I would act slightly hurt when dropping him off and then retire back to bed to eat biscuits and read trashy novels all day.

Does anyone know what happened to TJuice?

Quickie to say O is much better today, no temperature at all, just a bit tired and grizzly (much like her mother then!). And I managed to do the most important piece of work I should have done during the day in the evening and e-mail it to my boss, so he was impressed too [grin

Go to go, we're off on holiday to Wales on Saturday and I've done nothing to get ready.

Poledra- Glad O is better today
Enjoy your holiday...Fingers crossed for nice weather for you. We have ours this time next month and being the organised freak i ma ive already started my packing list!

Red- Arent kids delightful!

Libra- We are the other side of Guildford in Crawley (Gatwick).

Had a lovely day today at the park with friends. Girls enjoyed a run around and annoying some pre teen boys by trying to knick thier football! Abigail making a beeline down the hill to the lake to wave at the ducks too. - she likes to keep me on my toes!
Need a manic housework day tomorrow as we have friends coming for the weekend. Really looking forward to it as we havent seen them since before xmas.

Visited our old neighbours today. Bit to see my lovely garden I spent ages doing all over grown and looking unloved. Abigail absouletly loved playing on thier trampoline! she was running around on it like a looney.. making us run around the edges to catch her.

Been having a few wobbles today about ttc DC2. Been flitting between excitment and dread about coping with 2. Was having a nightmare with Abigail at lunch today and was thinking how on earth id manage with a newborn too.

Where has everyone gone?? Its been very quiet lately..
SK, Disney ?? Where are you? Hope all is well

Oh so many poorly babies

Poledra - poor Orlaith, glad she is better now.

salamander - cheerios fine for dinner, I had cheese on toast the other night, I get bored with food, theres nothing I wanted to eat

Libra - remember I am in Scotland schools go back earlier here, you will be fine being pregnant again, you just get one with it more once you have other DCs, it goes more quickly too so enjoy. Tjuice posted come pics on FB I think recently

pigley - you know what I think go for it, not as scary as first time around thats for sure

Had an awful night, P is teething, tooth number 6!!! She is still asleep now, although need to get her up as we have music class at half 9! Her walking is improving so much, she is very good holding your hand and walked me out to the kitchen last night to see DH and chase the cat! She surprises us by letting go and walking when we aren't paying attention!

Libra - Baby Gap was such a lovely place to work I am actually quite excited about the prospect of going back to there! Not that the 50% discount on clothes for me plays any part in that!!! I love the dresses too, it's the matching knickers that are just so sweet! Plus I used to do all the visual stuff instore so got to dress up 'babies' all day!!

Pigley - Go for it! I'm sure you will be fine, A is so smart & lovely you have to have another!

Jodie - what a treat!! Very !!!!!!!

Hi smudge, Gad you found us

M2L had a girl on friday 7th. 5lb15. Named Aaishah.

LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune- is newlypreg with number 2!

TTc ers... SK, Pigley ... cant remember any more actually trying now, but i know more thinking about it later on in the year or next year.

Hows your LO coming along? Teeth,Walking etc.

Bebe- Hope P's teeth come through quickly. Im not looking forward to Abigail finally teething!

Busy day doing housework here- boo!
Abigail has been "helping" too...getting tangled up in the hoover lead and standing behind it at the air vent with the air bloeing up into her face. She did it front of the mirror and was laughing at herself and touching her hair as it was flying... very funny
Ive rearranged the furniture in the lounge today too as I fancied a change. Abigail has been running around as if its a new house!
Shes suddenly taken to Peppa pig too and sat in the car singing Peppa pig in her cute little girly voice. She also now brings me the remote saying Peppa pig and starts climbing onto my lap to watch it together which is nice for a bit of quiet, cuddle time. Thank god for Sky plus!

Pigley DS is absolutely obssessed with Peppa Pig, seems like it's on all the time in our house!
Don't worry about the second baby - I don't suppose you remember but I got quite scared when I was pg with P, but it's fine with two, you just adapt and get on with it. I only find it really tough when they are both crying at once but honestly that's the minority of the time!
Well I've come down with DH's cold, feel crap so I've snuck up to bed and left him to do dinner and bath... can hear wailing so best go help him out!
Welcome back Smudge! And belated happy birthday Jodie!

Pigley - Peppa pig a massive hit here too! P sings along and is going through a phase of everything being 'peppa'!! I always make sure that there is plently of Peppa Pig & In the Night Garden saved on the Sky+, usually stops her dead in her tracks when she is being a monster a handful loud spirited!!!

Tooth Number 6 is out & now 7 is poking through! She seems to get a few at a time then nothing for a month or so! Oh well, hopefully she won't be horrid for too long! She has had the bright red cheeks all day today & hardly eaten anything poor little monkey!

We have no food at all in the house! Got to do Tesco order! Just put some chips in as it was the only thing left in the freezer!! I need to lose 1.5stone by Xmas & this is not helping!! Plus got a wedge of Birthday cake left which is SO tempting!!! Mmmmmmmmm cake!!!!

Evening all what a horrible rainy day, we tidied the toys upstairs up, played Bratz fashion shows (I kept getting told off for not knowing their names), played Playdoh, made bracelets, made fairy cakes, watched garfield 2, painted our toe nails (minus Bethany), played hairdressers and danced. My last day with 3 preschoolers.

Lovely, lovely lovely DP phoned this morning and said I have got you tickets to see U2 who are my all time fav band, listened to hardly no one else in my youth, ahd to find someone to go with as there's a certain football match on the same night and we have no babysitters but all sorted now.

re: TV B likes a wee bit of Night Garden and Peppa and the new one Waybaloo, we all have to do the yoga which is funny. She loves the dance channels more though cannot walk but can dance. I have to put her in the travel cot to hoover as she attacks it. We call it the baby jail and she gets plonked in there with her toys if she needs to be safe and secure.

Smudge - hello good to see you visit again soon

Just popping in to say tara, as am off on holiday to Wales tomorrow, and don't think we'll have Internet there. Am feeling rather knackered as have just spent the evening in the emergency GP's with DD1, who has a urine infection . Honestly, why us, again?? Am I neglecting my children or something?

Anyway, need to go get some sleep - DH cannot drive so I'm looking at a minimum of 4.5 hours driving tomorrow. Have a lovely week, and I'll see you all when I get back

poledra have fun in wales im going there next sunday for a week!

m2l congrats, love the name.

Jack is doing ok, he is 14 mths almost. Started walking just before his first birthday. He took a few wobbly steps and i got really excited, when dh got home i waited eagerly for J to do it again. He wouldn't!! Next day he just got up and walked across the room, i couldn't believe it! Now is running, jumping, moving coffee tables to climb on window sills etc.

He is still really slow with his teething, has about 6, but i haven't looked recently as he bites!!!Little git!

I had a check up recently for my fertility probs, and they have been asking if we want any more babies, they pointed out that as im 27 this year i really dont have long to decide!! They said they are prepared to give me treatment again as long as it is within the next 2 yrs or so, otherwise there is little point as will most likely not work. I was a bit upset, and felt pressured to have another one asap. But after a chat with dh, we have decided to try again in about 6 mths. Am VERY scared to go through it all again, but keep telling myself it's just 9 mths and trying not to think about it. We really want another baby i just hate being pregnant, my body does not do pregnancy well.

I can hear the volume on night garden going up which means J has the remote and dh has prob fallen asleep, i shall go put my neighbours out of their misery!!

M2L hi sweetie, well i have 7 and they have there own looks too but with resemblance.

tips to cope well right now id say for you tips to survive the early days, rest when you can sleep when you can , when Leah is napping just sit/lie with baby or snuggle and feed, take the time to rest, youve just gone through a huge ordeal take it easy theres no rush all the houseworky type things aren not goin nowhere....

anyone else say something ive forgotton, its hard in the first few weeks isnt it, are you getting any help? anyone there with you to lend a hand, id also say if family members offer to have leah and its ok with you take them up on the offer and get some well deseved rest time with baby.
is the feeding going ok?
has she got hair like leah had? im sure i remember you saying she had hair and you shaved it of? ive a terrible memory

Evening all

M2L - would second all that disney said, get as much help as you can, rest loads, feed baby loads and ignore the housework. There is nowhere on P&T for a chnge bag one of disadvantages I'm afraid, you can stuff things in the shopping tray when it's in newborn/toddler mode, some people have pannier bags that fit to the side but I didn't I just used a rucksack and carried it myself. How are you finding feedin two and sleeping? DD1 and 2 look and are completely different in every way, Bethany is the spitting image of DD1 but different again.

Disney - sorry to hear about your eldest son

poledra - enjoy your hol

smudge - glad you and Jack are doing well, FWIW my opinion is I prefer to have babies close together, I think they are better company for each other and closer but everyone is different some popel would ahte a 15 month gap whilst some would hate a 5 year gap, everyone different. But I find DD1 and 2 easier as they play so well together and always have a friend to play with I couldn't imagine having a baby and a 5yo

pigley - don't think about it just do it, once you are pregnant that's it no choice but to get on with it and enjoy it lol

Poledra- Have a good time in Wales. Hope DD1 is ok.

Smudge- Glad Jack is doing well.

Disney- to hear about your Son. Enjoy Yarmouth.. we are off there in a few weeks time.

Had a fab weekend here with visiting friends with their two girls. Abigail loved being mothered by them(5 & 7). Had a BBQ and a few too many drinks once the girls were all in bed. So much to catch up on!
Had a suprise this morning though...
We had used 2 little disposable BBQ and put them the garden table with a sheet of thick MDF on the table top. Well one of them must of got extremerly hot as it burnt through the MDF and through the table top!! We had planned to get a new garden set towards the end of the year but now we need one sooner

Just had a call and our driveway is finally being done on Tues... cant wait!

Disney I don't freecycle often, but I've gone for a first-come first-served basis - you don't know if people are telling the truth about their needs and that seemed fairest to me. I tell the second and third people that there is someone ahead of them and that they might well pull out (because that seems to happen a lot, people not showing up etc.) and so say that I'll keep them informed if that happens.

I've been catching up with school friends and their LOs today which was lovely, DH didn't come as he'd been on a very rare night out (including staying out the night at a mate's) and he only had 4hrs sleep. So I get back after 5hrs out to find... absolutely NOTHING had been done. I didn't expect much, but I was hoping he'd at least have put his breakfast bowl away or had a shower.. nope.. but he did manage to watch MOTD!!! Typical!!!

However the upside is that he's very contrite and is making a nice dinner tonight.

Sorry about your son Disney and good luck for your DD1 tomorrow SK!! Is DD2 upset that she's not going to school as well??

Feel like I haven't stopped all weekend, done loads of 'house stuff', very boring but achieved loads! We put P's forward facing seat in the car today, she is not sure what to make of it and was very quiet when we went out for a drive! She did loads of unaided wobbly walking today at Grandads house, think she lapped up all the praise!

SK - good luck to your DD1 (and you) tommorow!

Jodie - have a nice time out, can't remember the last time I went to the cinema...enjoy!

DH has been helping me all weekend make big diet & exercise plans. He needs to lose masses so we are going to do it together. I need to weigh less than before I had P when TTC again. Just a personal thing really. Just know I'd be a stone lighter if I could just lop my boobs off!!!
