right..dd1 finally asleep, phew.. its getting harder and harder to get her to sleep, driving me crazy!!

Steaky.. unfortunatley i'm not very good at arts and crafts, so this rug kit is from hobbicraft.. you just have to insert the wool onto a canvas...

i'm really enjoying it although a friend of mine did say i really was a sahm now !

did the verbaudet link not work?

no i didnt link to converse, not sure what happened. sorry.

I love the basket one. My mum sells some like that in the shop. They are gorgeous.

TwilightSurfer · 25/08/2009 20:56

cyteen i had the same experience going shopping on saturday. it was like the dregs of society all came out at once. the blue will pass. rest and know tomorrow is a brand new day.

steaky i told you i see you and your dh being like tommy lee and pamela anderson. this malta thing is making it a step closer to my truth.

sazzles our family farm is (and has always been) 1.5 miles away (we pass it going to the school) and i have never in my entire life walked it. lol! i'm such a lazy american.

sarah rug? yes please share a picture of it.

no1 lol your dh sounds a bit like mine. he came home to maddness last night and i was like what this is normal. wish i could go riding. our neighbors went for a ride yesterday and the girls got so excited to see horses walk by the yard.

ladies i have a roast in the oven. i've never done a roast in the oven. sirlion tip. i just sprinkled it with a little seasoning and cut up some onions for under and over it (i love cooked onions). smells good. can i have a star for attempting domestic goddessness.

dizzy sounds like yours and mine are of the same lot. reese's jabs went too well last friday. she was a bit fussy the next day but nothing we couldn't manage.

speaking of august babies: poop is hard! feedings are erratic. sometimes she eats like i never feed her other times she's like get that out of here. sleeping is good at night but we're only sleeping once during the day for about 2 hours. she highly independent and won't even let the nursery teacher feed her...she feeds herself! nursery went super well today. i only left her for two hours but she appeared very content when i arrived. i think she would have lasted longer (and even napped for them).

reese is awol....IN MY ROOM WITH THE DOOR NOW CLOSED...i must go >>>>>>>>>>>>.

blimey TS please tell me I don't have to get the boobs and the tattoos to fulfil your prophecy.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 25/08/2009 21:09

lol ts yes I said to dh it was normal

Not long now till I get the pony, very excited, but got some more fencing to do first.

right off to clean out the goldfish

took dcs to a gala near us the other day and she won a fish on the 'hook a duck' I thought they couldnt do this anymore.

Hos name is 'baggy' cos we carried it home in a freezer bag

steaknife · 25/08/2009 21:16

I'm sooo bored writing my CV for a 4 hour a week job. I had one on my laptop but that is in UK being fixed by mum's helpful bod, I had one on a USB key but DH lost the key when I lent it to him, I have one on a sent email but I can't access my email. boooo!

Sarah ooh what a fab site.

I love these threads there are always so many good ideas and shopping links bandied about.

TwilightSurfer · 25/08/2009 21:17

LOL!! Steaky not the "look" but the "relationship". Unless, of course, you want the boobs and tats.

On the boobs topic, I mentioned to dh that I'd openly voiced to friends that was going to consult a doctor about a boob job. He made no comment. Guess he figured there was NO good comment so he took the high road.

No1 they totally don't get the chaos we deal with 24/7. It's amazing!

steaknife · 25/08/2009 21:18

NO1 assume you mean building of fences rather than shifting of dodgy goods.

Miamla · 25/08/2009 21:22

evening
came home to a very excited, overtired, poorly boy today. i tried settling him for almost 2 hrs, DP got home, sent me down for dinner and came down himself 5mins later when ds was fast asleep. I asked him what he did and he just gave me a smug face. i explained, calmly, that i didn't need 'smug face', i needed to know what he'd done. turns out we were doing exactly the same thing but DS just wanted daddy to do it tonight!

dizz trust me, without sounding stalkerish...you are not escaping from seeing me when i'm up your way, so there! how far in advance do you know your shift times/days?

can i be excused from personal messages to everyone please? i'll do my homework tomorrow, i promise!

steaknife · 25/08/2009 21:22

TS I was reading in a glossy mag, so it must be true, that there is a new shape for the ladies that want a boost but not to be all you-could-have-someones-eye-out-with-your-boob as it were. The new shape it is a pear shaped implant for a more realistically I-am-growing-old-gracefully look.

The thing that stops me, apart from the cost, is wondering how you would look when you are 70 odd and you still have your perky boobs when the rest of you is a lil old lady.
That plus watching one a televised surgery of male breast implants. It looked so violent. euww

steaknife · 25/08/2009 21:24

I excuse you Miamla I am just on a stream of conciousness anyway so feel free to ignore all my posts and just wave in passing.

Miamla · 25/08/2009 21:25

but i did read about 'baggy' and i think that's a perfect name for a goldfish!

sarahnh · 25/08/2009 21:27

oooh.. on the subject of boob jobs.. apparently there is now an injection you can get to increase your size.. lasts for a year or two but pricy!!!

would solve the 70 yr old perky boobs steaky!!!

oopsacoconut · 25/08/2009 21:32

HI All

TS - Reese sounds just like DD - some days she eats like a horse and others if it is the wrong colour/shape/bowl I get the WTF are you trying to feed me look. Today she ate a roast chicken thigh, roast tatties, carrots and her favorite food broccoli followed by a plum and 2 yogurts.

No1 - I am VERY of you ride.

Sazzles - shoe racks galore

DD has become troublesome at bedtime - she is happy to do bottle/jimjams/papa cuddles/night night walks and even songs and cuddles in her room. She used to go down semi awake and sing/play until she fell asleep. The last week or so I put her down and walk out of her sight she stands up and cries like I am leaving forever. The first nigh I went in am lay her down shushed and patted until she was calm then left again and it all started again. I ended up standing with my hand on her back until she was sleeping BUT 2 hours later she woke to find me not there and but the time I got up there she was inconsolable and took 20mins to calm her. Every night has been like this since, I have resorted to co-sleeping from about 2am and unless she is touching me she wakes up crying. tell me this will pass, please. No sleep is better than unbroken uncomfortable sleep.

off to catch up, back soon.

lol oops, thats an awful lot of shoe racks and i'll bet she doesn't like a single one of them!

steaknife · 25/08/2009 21:41

Surely shoes should be kept in their own boxes in a wardrobe so they don't get dusty or fade or peed on by cats?

There speaks a lady who last had far too many shoes when she was single. If I have shoes and DD has shoes does this mean I need a shoe rack? Oh the confusion!

TwilightSurfer · 25/08/2009 21:43

Steaky I have seen the new shape but haven't actually seen the new shape in place. Boobs naturally drop but if you're already droopy I can't imagine implanting a droopy booby. Does that make sense? I'm so flat chested that it wouldn't take much to make me look more girly. I'm also looking at it from a lift perspective too. I could potentially get what I want from that without implants. I've been watching boob surgeries for several years so I totally understand the process both ways. I'd ruled it out because I felt like it was major surgery. Since my gutting OH I mean my csection I can't imagine it to be any worse thus the present openmindedness.

On the topic of csections: Mine is hurting me. Is this strange?

Oops I had to bring Reese back in our room recently because she wasn't settling after a midnight accidental wake-up. My thought is it's seperation anxiety. Last night she was no trouble at all, apart from me having to find her pacey twice. It all is a two steps forward one step back process isn't it.
