TheNatty · 30/07/2009 15:58

no he didnt daisy three weeks
dh is giving me stern 'we are not having anymore' looks

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 30/07/2009 17:50

LOL Daisy, I hadn't realised that was where the penguin thread was centred

Had text from a friend today, she had a boy by planned c-section yesterday morning. No name as yet though.

TheNatty · 30/07/2009 18:38

aww jammy dont!! making me even more broody!

i must behave!

have spent some of my paypal funds from selling this week on some nice medium nappies for my not-so-little LO, so feeling less sad about packing up all the tiny tiny bits.

thomas is being really naughty, i have been ignoring his behaviour to the most part because of the new baby but its been three weeks now and its worse everyday.
he is swearing at me and shouting at me now
its like having a teenager in the house.
i dont really know what to do with him, i feel like i cant be firm with him because his acting up it bound to be because he is getting less time with me (thanks to the milk monster being attached 24/7!)

gah!

MakkaPakkasWilly · 30/07/2009 19:06

I appear to be in labour.

Either that or am having some very convincing BH's.

LittleMissNorty · 30/07/2009 19:46

Oooh how exciting. Who you gonna text? Dou you want my number?

MakkaPakkasWilly · 30/07/2009 19:53

I have Foxy's number, she can come out of hiding

But tbh they are becoming more irregular so another of my famous false alarms I reckon.

Shame, I could do with just being 1 person again!

LittleMissNorty · 30/07/2009 20:02

thought she'd abandoned us.....

TheNatty · 30/07/2009 20:06

oooh that was almost exciting

at least u didnt call out the midwife and have to send her home like me

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 30/07/2009 20:17

Sounds like it won't be too long though MPW?

LackaDAISYcal · 30/07/2009 20:20

lol at "I could do with being one person again"....sums late pregnancy up exactly.

you are going to have this baby while I'm away fury......jammy will you text me any news?

Just had the bathroom chappie here. He is running behind with his current project, so won't be starting ours on Monday as planned . So it looks unlikely it'll be finished for us coming back, although he is going to try and ensure we have a working toilet and shower.....boo hoo.

Exciting!
I am not holding my breath though after last time!

TheNatty · 30/07/2009 20:31

guys need your advice on something.

ok.. so as you know tax credits are saying we were over paid by a grand last year.

croydon council are also saying we were over paid by a grand

BUT, if i am paying back a grand to tax credits, in theory i was entitled to the extra grand from housing benefit?

council are saying we were over paid because we had an increase in tax credits and didnt tell them. but it turns out we were not entitiled to the increase.

do you get me? its complicated and i dont know if i am explaining it right?

MakkaPakkasWilly · 30/07/2009 20:38

Sorry Natty, I haven't a clue.
I don't know anything about benefits. All I know is I'd like some please

FrazzledFairyFay · 30/07/2009 20:43

Hi everyone

Exciting, MPW - keep us posted

Natty - sounds like you need to tell the council that the tax credits were paid in error, and are being repaid - that means that what yo told them was the correct information so you shouldn't have to pay back any housing benefit

TheNatty · 30/07/2009 20:49

mpw u really dont! they royaly stuffed us up.. we are in huge amounts of debt now. i'll be glad to get off them

fairy thanks, i just wanted to be sure the logic did make sense

LackaDAISYcal · 30/07/2009 21:06

how are things now fury?

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 30/07/2009 21:12

oh brings it all back.....3 days of contractions 10 minutes apart and the hopsital making me wait till planned date for the section. My little baby is 6 months old on Monday....he's growing so fast

Sputnik · 30/07/2009 21:13

Look on the bright side Norty, he should be past the pukey stage soon!

LittleMissNorty · 30/07/2009 21:20

When does that happen? I've got used to it now - 5 outfits a day, changing the cot every day and 3 loads of washing a day. It will be very odd when he doesn't do it any more.

Sputnik · 30/07/2009 21:26

It's got to happen sometime.
Here's an idea for you, in the morning put 5 outfits on him one on top of another, layer of clingfilm in between each one, sorted

LittleMissNorty · 30/07/2009 21:35

I wondered if it would improve with weaning, but its just the same, just multicoloured and it stains!

LittleMissNorty · 30/07/2009 21:38

with clingfilm.

As it is, when he goes in the car seat, I wrap him in muslins as he always pukes within 60 seconds of being in the seat. I put one up under his chin and tuck it under his arms, plastic backed bib under neath and another muslin on his lap - he looks like a mummy!! And when we get wherever we're going, I unwrpa him, take the bib off and usually by the time we're inside, he's puked....but at least looks mostly presentable!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 30/07/2009 21:44

about lack of labour for MPW. And also for Daisy's bathroom delay. And of course I will text you next week with any big news (baby MPW or otherwise) Daisy.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 30/07/2009 21:45

I just had a little glass of redcurrant gin and now I feel a little

TheNatty · 30/07/2009 21:55

norty has he got reflux? the carseat thing is very common in reflux babies.

im pretty sure charlie has reflux, has has nearly the whole list of symptoms. planning a gp visit next week if no improvement.
HV told us to try infacol, and thats helped bring wind up quicker, but he is still being sick randomly!

so with you on the 5-6 changes of clothes, thank god for babygrows thats all i can say!
