CSWS- Your pics for today are lovely, they look like they are having a great time

aubergenie · 06/07/2009 21:27

I LOVE that fb video - they are so cute!

I am knackered. Got to school, was put straight into class, covering for a teacher with swine flu. Apparently loads of people are off with it. Some definitely have it and others have some sort of flu at least. I literally didn't stop all day. But at least it went fast. I was so happy to see S when I got home though but he'd had a lovely day with his dad.

Jenwa - I saw on your profile that you were at Hackney City farm yesterday. We go there quite a lot.

Right I'm off to express some more milk. Not that he drank much today. Night night.

jenwa · 06/07/2009 21:39

mm Poor little "moo" , yes for some reason she became Phoebe foo! So sometimes she is Phoebe Foo, sometime Phe foo and sometime just foo, although this is what DH calls her along with PJ! We never changed Lydia's but now we call her Lydia Loo! She now thinks her middle name is 'loo'! hehe!

aubergenie yes, we went on the way back from my sis, she lives near there (ish) a bus ride away, she was in Hackney Wick but now I cant remember where..doh! Sorry, we were changed plans last minute as her ex was meant to have come for brekkie to See Lydia then never did so we decided to go to the farm before heading to Paddington. Its a nice little farm, strange as you would not think there was a farm there! The pigs really smelt though! Next time I go I will let you know and maybe we can meet there for coffee. Where abouts are you then? Scary about your first day back and being around the bug!!!I bet you werepleased to see S when you got home and that your day went quickly for you. How many days are you doing again?

jenwa · 06/07/2009 21:41

BTW aubergenie your hair looks nice on your FB pic, did you have it done recently or was that someone else???

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/07/2009 22:45

Glad first day back didn't give you much opportunity to miss S aubergenie. Eek for swine flu though - hope that you don't catch it.

Jenwa - D is wearing an amber teething necklace. It's meant to help with teething pain. Dh just calls it hocus pocus, but I figure we've nothing to lose in giving it a try.

lol at ds being full of nappy jenwa .

I was offered a job in Hackney some years ago. Burberry's head office was there, and they wanted me before they became such a big brand.

Hope that M is brighter tomorrow MM.

Am off to bed in a tick. Will have to save final episode of BNTM for tomorrow.

GGGRRR I am .
What beautiful babies. Myjob I see B is a cheeky as ever. It looks like you had a fab time today.

We picked up our new kitten today. A very cute little ball of cream fluff.

All good here. I did the Race for Life yesterday. Knackered with achy hips today, rubbish.

Aubergenie, I bet you were ready for a slobby dribble cuddle fron S this afternoon

Jenwa, you will be fine. The children will be fine. Good luck with your first day back.

HMM, sorry I missed your b'day. At least you got to sleep all day.

MM I hope M is feeling better soon.

CSWS, I meant to ask a while ago, is D wearing your BF necklace?

Star Q is fab. He could get a job in construction as an engineer. Good brick work

Rachie, what a day. I live in fear of going out and leaving W asleep in his cot or something similar to that

purpleflower · 07/07/2009 09:27

hi all, im not going to be around for a bit. Dp thinks the reason im depressed is fb and mn so he has restricted my laptop . I can use my phone (like now) but its really slow.

I hope you had a great day yesterday.
Im very jealous about the kitten, pil have some but dp said no, dd did try and eat 1 though so i can understand where he is coming from lol. He said i can get dd one next year when she is the same age ds was when we got his and less likely to eat it

Ds is playing, 'how much can i wind my sister up!', looks like im in for a fun day

I will try and have a look on my phone as much as i can but won't be posting, this has taken me ages!!

Marthasmama · 07/07/2009 09:48

Purple! That's a touch controlling of your DP. Surely it is for you to decide not him. I honestly think that on occasion, MN is the only thing that keeps me sane.

M is being a real pickle today. She seems much better but is refusing milk. She has had some food but if I offer her milk she screams her lungs out. She has also decided that she doesn't like me any more either and if I pick her up she cries until daddy comes to see what the matter is. It's going to be a fun day. Maybe she thinks that I made her ill.....

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/07/2009 10:13

does what you think not matter pf? He sounds very controlling. Has he always been like this? I would be very worried if so. Maybe him Trying to control you is contributing to your depression, as he's trying to make out that it's your fault...

Right, which of your babies corrupted ds yesterday? We had a terrible night, just when they'd been so good recently.

purple . Did you get to discuss this at all? I agree with MM, often MN is my key outlet.
Glad all you intrepid ladies had such a good day yesterday! I took DS2 and DD to a soft play area in the afternoon. Both loved it but I did cringe as DD shoves all the balls and toys in her mouth cos there must be a gazillion bugs on every item... (paranoid mummy). I would have liked to sneak my dettol wipes in but it's not really the done thing is it.

purpleflower · 07/07/2009 11:02

he did suggest it first and i agreed thinking he wouldn't do it, its only mn and fb hes stopped so i can still go on ebay etc which is good as im selling ds's old clothes atm. He thinks i get stressed out because the dcs interupt me when im trying to read something.
We grew up in very different cultures so obviously there is alot of compromise between us, he is a bit better now. I told him to leave just over a month ago and hehas improved a lot since then but don't worry, i give him as good as i get lol.

I apologise for the bad spelling and grammer but it takes too long to correct it.

oh NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Q has corrupted two of the best sleepers on the thread currently! I'll tell Q off when he gets up from his nap, no worries... Q only woke twice last night... and is on hour three of morning nap at the moment....
I think when he was throwing bricks and stealing them from Naomi and Duncan he also sucked out all of their good sleep and took it for himself. We're really going to have to sort him out

purpleflower - sorry to hear you're restricted from MN

DH had 70 kids go home with suspected swine flu yesterday from his school. Luckily it doesn't seem life threatening, except in babies and elderly (?) at the moment...

star6 · 07/07/2009 12:17

Rachie - we call Q doodles too Quinlanoodle doodle and now just doodle most of the time

jenwa · 07/07/2009 14:11

csws Ah, now I know what those necklaces look like, I thought they were special ones they chew...doh!

PF thats awful, surely you get more support being on here and with friends on FB??? I would tell DH that you need support from other mums too.

star at swine flu and the amount!!!
Also Wow at Q standing on your FB pics, that brill.
Just put P down for nap so qoing to try to be organised this afty

RachieW · 07/07/2009 15:12

Star at Doodles! Ds is is Jacky (swore I'd never call him this, lasted about 2 weeks) Doodles and then now like W just Doodles. Dh sings Jacky Doodles to Yanky Doodle.. I'm sure ds will hate it when I tell him this at the age of 16

Jenwa- Good luck with getting organised...J is asleep so I should be doing jobs too. I hope tomo goes well, are you going back FT or PT?

Glad you had a good day yesterday Myjob- just had a look at your pics on fb, very sweet!

Ds and I made it to Nursery today, in the car at the right time. Yay! Met some of the baby room staff who were lovely. Was really nervous that ds would cry as he seems a bit fragile around other babies but after 10 mins he was in the ball pit with two little girls looking very happy. Apparently they will be at full capacity with 9 babies come Sept. I just really hopes he settles in ok, I always worry if I've made the right decision. But then I'd be just as worried if he was going to a childminder too. Still 2 months to fret before it becomes a reality

RachieW · 07/07/2009 15:14

Sorry Star- have typed W instead of Q! Next to each other on the keyboard. Was watching Baby Time whilst typing and getting all teary over premature twins

Marthasmama · 07/07/2009 15:35

Rachie - My ds went to a nursery and had a whale of a time. He used to cry when we picked him up. He made friends with a little boy when he first started and they are still best friends now, 5 years later! I am convinced that going to nursery helped him develop his social skills and have helped him settle into school so well. I opted for nursery as I didn't want just one person to be responsible for his care as I was worried about him getting too attached to someone else. I have no regrets about sending him to nursery. Nursery have the capacity to do lots of activities which is not something I could ever arrange myself!

RachieW · 07/07/2009 16:23

Thanks MM that's really reassuring We chose Nursery for similar reasons. My various friend's dcs who have gone are so sociable and I wanted the same for ds. I also didn't know of any childminders in my area but have a friend whose dd goes to this nursery and she has loved it. Also this one is just for teachers in our borough so closes in hols and doesn't charge which is excellent for us. I wouldn't put ds in nursery when I'm off so would rather save the money I'd be paying to retain a place at other nurseries for a nice holiday for all of us or other treats. I need to stop questioning my decisions and just be sure of myself. Oh and dh's decision too, I let him have some say

star6 · 07/07/2009 20:08

what did you do, myjob? Or can you not say on MN (spy? lol)

I don't THINK you can run out of milk..? csws? Sometimes Q has had a night like that where I feel he's getting nothing and he cries, but he just feeds later and for some reason can't feed then (was thinking maybe teething pain? not sure).

star6 · 07/07/2009 20:15

I've been going in and out every 7 minutes for about 45 minutes now. He's still screaming his head off. He's all fed... had his tea and a full bf from both sides +1 more on the right... he should be full. DH out fixing his bicycle (flat tyre and he rides it every morning 10 min to the bus to work)... so I've taken advantage of the moments to try this out. I think Q is fine, just mad. Should I keep going or is 45 minutes the limit? I think he could go all night....

star6 · 07/07/2009 20:15

wait.... the cries are weakening... but still screaming...
