Ladies my DD2 went for her get to know your new teacher today. 2hrs in big school. Her teacher wasnt there due to maternity leave. So tell me, as you are teachers of smalls, and you are living life on the edge of sanity, what can I send in with DD2 to make her teacher happier about being at work and not with her baby??? She doesnt start until September so lots of time to think about it.

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/07/2009 19:54

Does South Kensington tube station have a lift or not does anyone know? Just deciding whether to sling only or bring the pushchair too, which I would like if possible, as otherwise there's quite a lot to carry by myself (esp as ds weighs a tonne!).

Oh and no dd this time star - she won't want to miss school the week before her school play. You can meet her another time over the summer though, when you catch the train up to my neck of the woods .

Also, can we do the science museum first please? Just in case I don't have time for both, as that's my favourite. Unless anyone can tell me stuff about the natural history museum that will make me want to go there instead (haven't been since I was a child myself I don't think).

I'm quite sure there is a lift at south ken csws. We always bring Q in his pushchair to London and always find a lift somewhere. oh wait!!! I think there's a bit at the end where there are only stairs to get to the street...... maybe there is a lift though and we didn't take it b/c didn't want to wait? ugh, sorry - I'll look it up online instead of ramble nonsense on here

star6 · 01/07/2009 20:10

how much does ds weigh csws?

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/07/2009 20:20

about 11kg I think star.

Big hairy bollocks. I just wrote a long post and then deleted it by accident. I hate it when that happens. MN needs an undo button!

CSWS - Ouch that would be painful on the back/shoulders after a while. M is only about 9.5kg but she is a back-breaker when in her sling! Stop talking about Summer meet ups!!!! I won't be able to do anything over the Summer. Can we at least discuss the possibility of meeting up over Christmas? Just to make me feel better....pleeeeeeease?

Um...what else did I say.....?

I am off to visit the only breastfeeding counsellor in the area to discuss a) feeding positions post-surgery and b) doing the breastfeeding counsellor training! I am look forward to meeting her!

Ronshar - Are teachers allowed photos on their desk? If so a nice photo frame would be good so she can see her baby while she's at work. I always loved looking at the picture of DS on my desk when I was back at work after mat leave.

Marthasmama · 01/07/2009 20:34

Why does The Bill look strange tonight? Are they doing a live episode again?

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/07/2009 20:41

You're near enough for me to visit once you're feeling up to it again MM. And of course you're welcome here any time, so we can have lots of meetups .

Thank you CSWS. That makes me feel better. I love the new pics on FB. D has the most beautiful eyes. He is going to break hearts!

star6 · 01/07/2009 20:59

11 kg is what in pounds? too lazy to look up

ronshar · 01/07/2009 21:03

MM I was thinking about imposing upon you as well. Bring you grapes, laugh at you trying not to laugh because it hurts. The usual post op friendly nurse routine.
CSWS, when we went to London Zoo we took the pushchair. As long as you are ok using the escalators and look around for the station staff you should be ok. Most of the time people will help you with pushchairs.

Marthasmama · 01/07/2009 21:04

About 24lbs Star. M is actually about 9 kg having just checked the conversion. She's in her 9-12 month vest tonight. I found one of her tiny newborn vests in the cupboard tonight. I miss her being tiny, but I do love how much fun she is these days.

star6 · 01/07/2009 21:08

I think Q is 21 lbs. and that would be too heavy for me to carry in a sling all day. CSWS you must be amazingly strong!

People? Coming to my house? It's too messy! Plus it will only get worse when DH is looking after everything! Star and Jenwa wouldn't be able to come, they'd spontaniously combust!

pmsl!!!! I'm not judgemental!
Q waking... got to go to him.. dh can't settle... ughhhhhh

Marthasmama · 01/07/2009 21:29

Pistachio - M would be so jealous if she saw T standing. She wants to be able to only hold on with one hand, but she hasn't got a hope in hell at the moment!

Star -

Are you're babies stepping when they stand? M wants to be able to take steps but her legs are a bit too ridged and she can't seem to move them properly. Should I start worrying or am I being silly? I only mention it because she has uneven leg creases. Her hips have been checked and seem fine, plus she can move around freely on the floor, but doesn't stop me worrying about it a bit.

Marthasmama · 01/07/2009 21:30

DAMN IT!!! I changed you're to your but it was too late. What is the matter with me? That's the second time I've done it today.

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/07/2009 21:46

Hey all. I'm very upset about all these meet-ups being arranged. I'll have to console myself with the fact that I go to London approx once a month when I go back to work so I'll meet you all then.

What happened to Warwick Castle?

Mum took me shopping today and got me some new clothes. I got some clothes for Poppy too at the Debenhams sale. I really need to lose weight for the christening, it's on 9 August.
