I know what you mean about Dcs saying/telling everybody things.

J telling all and sundry daddy doesn't live with me, he's not well

Oh well at least it means they have made sense of it iyswim.

Yes council tax amount was what I thought.

I looked at entitledto.com ages ago and everything so far is spot on and if I get as much help towards the mortgage as they say I will be ok, things will be tight but manageable iyswim.

Lilyloo · 18/06/2009 11:53

I hope so Simps (fingers crossed) at least when you know you can move on i guess , must feel a bit limbo and out of control at the minute...

Simpson - It's probably J's way of getting used to it / dealing with it. I do like the idea of getting a baby to eat sardines - but maybe that's just because I don't liek them. Aren't there some veggies with calcium too? Scroll down a bit on this page. I remember fromthe 10 years I was a vegetarian.

Lilyloo - Dh probably trying to be sensitive. Sorry but LOL at H telling everyone!

Gingeme - Course you can come Gingeme. We'll be in the Castle PArk, Aberystwyth, lunchtime 12th July! thanks for the tip on the balloons. I did not know that.

Off to google bubble machines....

thanks!

LaTrucha · 18/06/2009 13:33

Ok. Which one? (I've not put on ones which have had bad reviews, like the aRgos one)

number 1

number 2

number 3

LaTrucha · 18/06/2009 13:37

Can I ask a really stupid question? IF you buy a DVD of songs for the telly, would you be able to hear it played on a CD player?

simpson · 18/06/2009 14:05

Personally on the bubble machine front I would go for 1 or 3.

You basically want one you can put down.

I got ours from sainsburys and was pretty cheap too.

But you will be surprised at how much bubble mixture they go through

simpson · 18/06/2009 14:07

LaT - on the veg front its green leafy veg which M will eat except spinach.

And broccoli.

I would have thought the music would work but not an expert

LaTrucha · 18/06/2009 14:10

Well, that's good!

I was plannign to buy a DVD of songs as Sabela is realy into singing and dancing ATM but it'd be good if I could use it at the picnic too.

LaTrucha · 18/06/2009 14:12

Oh. somehow I forgot to tell you

SABELA IS WALKING!

I took her to a playgroup this morning and she just wondered off, and kept doin git. She doean't get very far, and she can't get herself up, but she's definitely there!

simpson · 18/06/2009 14:15

Woo Hoo on the walking

Does she look really pleased with herself??

Lilyloo · 18/06/2009 14:20

I would go for number 1 as it cheaper not no 2 as someone would have to work it.
No a tv dvd won't play on cd player , tried that and spent ages trying to fix dvd player
at S walking yey!!!

LaTrucha · 18/06/2009 14:22

She's very happy today. She did it a tiny bit at a group yesterday and spent the buggy ride home babbling and shrieking her head off.

She walks like a fencer most of the time! I think it's from cruising along furniture for so long.

Thanks for the tip about the CD/DVD issue Lily. Ok bubblemachine 1 it is!

simpson · 18/06/2009 21:31

phew totally glad today is over!!

Saw GP today as well as hosp. GP was to check M after bad chest infection and she is now fine!!

I have to say tinned sardines in tomato sauce a big hit

I gave it to her with toast and she wasn't bothered by the toast just picking it off the bread iyswim.

Also pureed some raspberries and today M has drunk 12/13ozs of neocate compared to her usual 6

simpson · 18/06/2009 21:32

puree was for adding to her neocate BTW to make food smoothie type thing...

nicky6 · 18/06/2009 22:40

been all here too, actually boo hooed very unlike me i think hormones bit up the wall.

plus charlie all out of sink, bless her, new room new cot and new room so light in the morning that i think that is why she is waking up shortly after 6, I know that doesnt sound that early but she is used to waking up up at 7.30 so now cant get through til lunchtime for her sleep but if she sleeps early she wont go down later and then really upset with tiredness by bedtime.
Frustrated as have bought and made black out blinds but because dh away I havent been able to put them up as promised wouldnt carry step ladder upstairs and climbing it to put them up. Plus she is really noticing that dh away and I think she realises things are changing.

Anyway it all upset me today. plus dont know what going into labour feels like as was induced last time, had a few twinges very low that dont feel like Braxtons but maybe just stressful day - ok am off to bed.

simpson · 19/06/2009 09:37

Morning all

Lovely weather here

Got another busy day today!! No rest for the wicked!!

M seems to have got out of bed on the wrong side today

Madmouse - hope you are ok hun...

LaTrucha · 19/06/2009 12:22

Thinking about you to Madmouse.

Nicky6 - a very pregnant woman having a bit of weep sounds totally normal to me! Especially with DH away and a fractious toddler. Hope today a bit better. Any more twinges [excited emoticon]

Sabela not mad kee to walk but I've noticed she does much more adventurous things whn I'm out of the room. For example, I caught her trying to pull herself up onthe bookcase today, which she wouldn't ever do if I was there. So, am spending he day trying to avoid my child!

Gingeme · 19/06/2009 12:53

Lol LaTrucha avoiding a child in our flat is totaly impossible
How are you today Nicky6?
Madmouse?
ds3 off school today. He has a terrible cough which woke him a few times last night He is knackered today so hes having a restful day off school.
DH and I went out for dinner on our own last night. My Dad babysat. I had steak and it was yummy. 2 White wine spritzers and I was quite giggley oh what lightweight I am .
George is into emptying his toy tub and sitting in it now. He was in it for about half hour watching the tele yesterday afternoon.
My big boys are coming this evening. We are having a family day out to South End tommorrow.
Race for life on Sunday then a BBQ at my sil's. Lovely

AngeChica · 19/06/2009 13:32

Me too Madmouse.

Also thinking about JKS in the tropics!

Hows things Lilyloo?

Lots of friends having babies ATM. A good friend just had a home birth and a 10lb 8 boy . That's only 6oz smaller than Alek! "Just a few grazes" as well.

A eats well but some veg I have to mash and hide in sauce etc. He loves most fruit and broccoli and green beans whole though. Also not keen on eating large bits of pasta whole so i have to chop up pasta and noodles etc still. He can now eat quite a lot of things by himself with a spoon.

yay for Sabela away on her feet.

A thinking it is funny to dance on coffee table when I'm not looking ATM . I would like to do away with it (cost very little from IKEA) but DH likes to eat at it in the evenings.

not long now Nicky

nicky6 · 19/06/2009 13:55

yes today feel like different person which is weird s charlie screamed to high heaven for 3/4 hour before going to sleep, and cried a couple of times in her sleep during the night but did sleep til past 7 hoorah. I was of course up at 2 and 4.30 and 5.45 for various pregnancy related ailments.

Anyway just bought some arnica tablets fat lot of use last time but thought no harm. Everything washed etc and done so subject to little varmit not coming early next week should be fairly relaxing plus have mum up for tues pm wed and thurs am so that will take the weight off.

Dh back tonight hoorah - although he sounded quite frazzled on the phone last night bless him.

Hope everyone is ok dont seem to have time for personals but have read everything just cant remember who said what by the time i come to write! But thinking of you guys who are going through the mill.

weird to think that these are my last coule of weeks with charlie before the new baby arrives.

Question to you experienced lot - bedtime and mornings when the 2nd arrived what order did you /do you do things in to keep sane like baths etc?

Lilyloo · 19/06/2009 19:13

Evening all feeling much better today , still there but not as bad.

Have been camping shopping again , it's an expensive set up this !

Nicky i abs reccomend sticking to C routine and the new one fitting in around it. I used to do bath before dc's normal bath. Then hopefully feed baby after dc's gone down and try to do evening wind down with new baby then. Not easy with colic etc but you need to keep things as normal as possible for C!
Typing that makes me 100% sure i am not broody!

Gingeme have nice weekend with your boys. L has that cough , and me too. Makes you really tired!

Simps wow M reallly recovered from that infection quickly!

LaT do you have asda near you , bubble machines for £5 in mine!

Ange i have given up on M climbing. Part of reason of accident was her climbing up the car wheel
She now uses her leap frog table to climb on to get things off the shelf. She even dragged one of the kitchen heavy pine chairs into the kitchen and climbed on to the worktop and got an apple out of the fruit bowl yesterday

MM hope you ok xx

Sorry if missed anyone. What you all planned for fathers day ? Dc's have all made cards and bought him a swiss army knife for camping (men and knives no idea what he wants it for) Got my dad some itunes vouchers and fil a dvd!

LaTrucha · 19/06/2009 19:56

I have that cough too! It's been aaaaaaaaaaaages.

No Lily - no asda until England! Have ordered the yellow one - and now feel a bit silly and extravagant. It'd better be good!

LaTrucha · 19/06/2009 19:58

Sabela definitely not keen on walking today. She did eat two new things though and lots of them! Butternut squash risotto and sweetcorn. She even ate the sweetcorn off her tray. So, progress.

I've come to think that the reason I'm getting so stressy over her is that lots of other things in life are a bit grim, so I want lots of lovely and exciting things from her.

Not fair at all, poor little mite. Not that she really has any clue that I care if she's not doing XYZ IYSWIM.

FairySparkles · 20/06/2009 09:20
