New pics of Sabela on profile.

LaTrucha · 20/08/2009 21:37

I like the advent calendar.

What do you think of the rug? I slightly regret it but too late!

madmouse · 21/08/2009 09:06

Hi all

LaT sorry about kinda disappearing last night - friend phoned for aaages. I do feel your pain ttc, we are not ttc because my mental health really would not mix with a pregnancy right now as in wil not be good for baby, me or friends and family believe me - and I am broody as hell! Friend's five month old had nap on my chest yesterday - messed with my head hormones I can tell you.

Loved the ungle items, adore the clock but would not spend the money, could be persuaded re the wall picture if the nursery wasn't full enough already.

Love Sabela's grown up hair!!! Gorgeous girl

Lily yey for eye-candy - glad you are doing ok and that some solution for the Oz problem seems to be appearing.

Simpson - waiting with bated breat re Molly's poohs today!!!

When is Gingeme back??

simpson · 21/08/2009 10:53

Don't know when Gingeme back but she went away for 2 wks.

Well, first horrid poo and M not eaten breakfast as tummy maybe not feeling right.

But she seems chirpy in herself though and if she only does one horrid poo may ring dietician and see what we do next....

simpson · 21/08/2009 10:58

Forgot to say lovely pics of Sabela

Hated TTCing too. It took me aaages to get pg with M.

LaTrucha · 21/08/2009 20:43

If you come across this book in a shop or library, get it. We've been laughing our heads off all day.

LaTrucha · 21/08/2009 21:11

Psst Simpson - they've got dolls puschairs for £4.79 in Argos. It's a cheapie, obviously but you know she's going to love it!

simpson · 21/08/2009 21:22

laT - M got toy buggy. Its a blue one from ELC that was J's.

Got it out of the toy shop attic a few days ago and she really took to it which is why I wanted to get a doll.

Although I hear her shout "stuck" quite a lot when she can't manouver it round iyswim.

Also, has anyone been putting their LO on the potty?

Started doing it with M the other day as J had real fear of potty by the time he was 2 so I stick her on it before bath. Don't expect much though although she sits on it singing "wee wee"

LaTrucha · 21/08/2009 21:59

We started and S got very excited - I thought perhaps pver excited but I've put it on hold because of dropping bf and new room.Too much all at once.

simpson · 21/08/2009 22:22

yes M seems very excited by it

But spends most of the time trying to get on potty by herself.

It is most funny to watch she puts both feet in potty (which takes ages )then takes one foot out, sits down very slowly then can't get the other foot out and yells "stuck" (her new fav word!!)

LaTrucha · 22/08/2009 08:13

Did you wait until J could get himself on and off the potty and take his trousers on and off? I'm reading Elizabeth PAntley's new book and she says don't try until then. I know lots who have tried earlier.

LuckySalem · 22/08/2009 15:49

Ali uses a potty sometimes.

Only by luck though. She spends alot of time naked and now and then we ask her to sit on the potty and we've had a couple of weewees but she doesn't understand why she got applause!!! lol I'm just doing it cos I don't want her scared of it.

simpson · 22/08/2009 17:37

Lucky - thats the exact reason i am doing it now with M.

LaT - did not start with potty until J was 2.8 and thought we would give potty training a go but he point blank refused to go anywhere near it.

I do let M sit on it with nappy/clothes if she wants and then look at a book (or naked obv.) but don't let her play with it iyswim ie put it on her head, put toy cars in it as don't want it to become another toy.

simpson · 23/08/2009 11:17

Hi

Hope everyone is ok?

Got a tea party this afternoon at my friends place and J most excited as she lives on boat. Its her LO's first birthday

Went to Ikea yesterday and got a new highchair which I love

My lovely tchibo one is falling apart I think its because M tries to stand (no harness) and rock it

Also got a nice bright rug for front room to save my poor carpet from getting trashed by 2 small kids.

Spoke to H the other day and he is coming over next wk to see J on his birthday and although I am far from happy about it, he does have the right to see him I guess. Just think I have kids by myself 24/7 I would like to have J to myself for the fun times too iyswim

Also tried M with a cooking sauce that had milk in the other day and only had one horrid poo so hopefully she is starting to out grow it. Have left a message for dietician to call to see whether we introduce dairy etc now or wait a bit longer.

LaT - M also into bags ATM and I bought her a little cheap bag which she keeps on her buggy and she adores it, putting things in, carrying it around etc. Is most sweet!!

LaTrucha · 23/08/2009 12:49

Hi all -

Simspon - bag a good idea!

We went for a walk this morning and saw a mare and her foal. They were right by the fence so we fed them grass and patted them. Sabela wasn;t at all afraid, wanted to be put down and went to get a handful of grass herself. It's amazing what they understand. Then two other mares and an older foal trotted over for some grass. Really cute.

Sabela also doing lion roars now. Very funny.

Happy Sunday all.

JustKeepSwimming · 23/08/2009 15:43

Hi all

LaT - i wasn't so sure about the rug but i can't see from the pic what kind of material it is. is it sort of fluffy? then it's good

Even T likes handbags

Given up on pants & toilet for now, too many wees everywhere - though he did seem to hold in the poo as we didn't have accidents with them - just no poo at all!

Simps - sounds positive re the dairy for M and i get what you mean totally about the good times vs daily grind.

No change in H here - just waiting for appt. Have sent videos of him to GOSH & got a letter together to send to the doc before we go so she can read some of our concerns.

otherwise a chilled sunday afternoon with the papers

LaTrucha · 23/08/2009 19:44

The rug is nicer than I thought it would be. Sabela loves it and keeps walking round it having me do the noises of all the animals. She can do the lion roar herself - that's how she learnt it.

JustKeepSwimming · 23/08/2009 20:19

Awww! well in that case it's worth every penny and more!

Not much happening here, need an early night after chinese & wine last night with brother & getting up first this morning

Have emailed & posted letter to GOSH re our questions & sent them the videos - need to try and dig out an older one that shows H doing a jerky movement that the local docs called a jerk seizure - think it's still on the camera somewhere.

I'll be interested to find out if we get any immediate reaction to the videos & letter or if they wait for us to come in.

PIL coming up on a rescue mission this week for a couple of days - you know it's bad when you actually ask the PIL to visit, lol!

simpson · 24/08/2009 12:33

LaT - LOL at sabela roaring

M roars like a lion and oinks like a pig but that is as far as we have got!! Is most cute!!

Talking of M she is driving me up the wall today

Constant demands for food

Temper tantrum because I took her out in the wrong buggy

Temper tantrum because I would not let her wear her Peppa Pig T shirt

Temper tantrum because I insisted she wear bib

Temper tantrum because she wanted bib back

And its only midday!!

M been refered for physio and have appt on thursday. Don't think we need it as she is walking now although still a drunken child quite a lot

JKS - did you give up on the toilet/potty training? J "got it" on yhe 2nd attempt.

Housemum · 24/08/2009 20:17

Just popping in to "bookmark" the thread...

Gingeme · 24/08/2009 21:30

Good evening ladies.
We are back from our wonderful holiday. It was a brilliant 2 weeks but I must admit I am kinda glad to be home. David was in tears at breakfast yesterday because he wanted to stay George was a dream absolutely loved the beach and the pool. DH and I were amazed how everyone commented on the boys. Even in Spanish I think it was the ginger/blonde hair.
Got home about 3.30 am and we all went straight to bed. Unpacked, well tipped all the clothes into the washing basket, and went shopping today.
I havn't been through the thread as yet but I hope everyone is doing well
Right I'm off for a bath now then probably off to bed.
See yo tomorrow xxx

JustKeepSwimming · 24/08/2009 21:40

G - welcome home

Housemum - hi there!

simpson · 25/08/2009 13:39

JKS - No clue on toy...have you had any luck?

Well, have some good news here (I think...) I tried M with a meal with milk in for her tea again last night and she ate loads. Normal poo today!!

Maybe she is starting to outgrow it

Grrr was just about to go to tescos as literally have no food in house ie have to go today and it has just started bucketing down

Gingeme · 25/08/2009 16:55

We had some rain today too. Ha ha we were all so suprised then remembered we were back in U.K.
Havn't done much today except washing that is ! Popped to local shops to get Edward some new sandals. He wore the ones out he went away with plus he's gone up a size. Got David some plimsoles and a P.E. bag for only £1.49 from ShoeSave
