and proud of you too Simps - it's hard to file for divorce and to worry about upsetting H is almost saintly of you.
Hope both DC better behaved for you tomorrow
(just breathe and remember you are all better off how you are now)

no sign of progress with the new drugs, although they obv taste nice
T really wanted some medicine tonight too and wasn't put off with pretend stuff as he has been before - we will have to sit him down and explain stuff to him somehow....

only small dose so far so not damning new meds just yet....

simpson · 01/08/2009 10:07

Thanks guys

It is very typical of my dad to "help" but do more damage iyswim. Grrr....

New tap seems to be holding out, was leaking a small bit yesterday, but seems ok now

Feeling a bit hung over today as hit the red stuff a bit hard

Lilyloo · 01/08/2009 12:41

JKS when should you see difference in Meds ?

Lucky i had terribler heartburn / indegestion with ds and M so who knows!

Simps , sorry to hear you having tough time with dc's. I guess the divorce thing finalises everything for you though!

Evening ladies.
Had a bit of a nightmarish night last night with poor David. Mum treated us all with a pizza out at Pizza Hut. The little ones had a cheese pizza between them and garlic bread and ice cream. All ate loads and went to bed ok. About 10 pm he woke up and was sick a little bit after coughing loads. Gave him some inhaler and sent him back to bed. 11.40 he was crying and said his tummy hurt. Rushed him to the bathroom but he didn't quite make it and was sick in the hall, the only place we have carpet , Put him back to bed. 2am he woke again. Got the bowl and put him into our room. He was very sick again but seemed alot better after . DH made a little makes shift bed for him on the floor with 2 double quilts where he eventualy fell asleep. He has been absolutely fine today
Thats about it from me. Off to bed soon. Up early for car boot in the morning xx

simpson · 02/08/2009 11:46

Hi all

Gingeme - hope David ok today?

Molly has made me laugh this morning, both kids got dressed together (me helping M obv.) and she saw that J was wearing pants so insisted on wearing pants herself over nappy

So she has a lovely pink girlie dress on which matches her shoes/socks with black Bob the Builder pants on underneath

But she was very proud and kept lifting up dress and pointing saying "pants"

Off to restaurant (carvery) in a bit for my brothers birthday.

JustKeepSwimming · 02/08/2009 13:54

Simps - PMSL at M bet she will show them off at the restaurant too....!

Lily - not sure when exactly we should see a difference tbh, they are meant to work quite quickly but then we do need to work up through the smaller doses so maybe no reaction until we reach the target dose? who knows. No difference yet in terms of sleep, not seen many nods the last few days though - may have to check with Dh before being too optimistic though.
Got everything dry yet???!

G - is David ok now? maybe just too much for him? maybe garlic doesn't agree with him?
and are you buying or selling or both at the car boot?

DH took T swimming this morning, then got his feet measured and new shoes - T very impressed with them, lol. Apparently they are like Tommy Zooms and make him run faster and help him walk backwards
I meanwhile was doing some sorting in the spare room and found the HUGEST spider EVER actually IN the bed
legged it out of there.
Got DH to remove offending creature when he got back. Even he agreed it was big.
(not sure what i would do if he wasn't here...leave it and lock the door and hope it died of natural causes?!)

Just done some painting with the boys & garden time, will try and sort some new photos.
Hope everyone ok

JustKeepSwimming · 02/08/2009 15:43

A couple of pics on profile
(more on FB)

Gingeme · 02/08/2009 21:04

Lol at M Simpson clever girl. Did she flash fro you at the resteraunt
JKS the pics are beautiful. Not enough mess though he'll have to try harder next time . I only did buying today at the car boot but we are thinking of doing some selling after the hols. David is just fine today In fact he has eaten loads today and kept saying he was hungry
I just love it when kids get new shoes and say they can run faster and jump higher etc
Poor Edward had a bit of an accident this afternoon. I have a cactus on my window sill in the front room which is about a foot long. He was doing a dance and caught his hand on a few of the spines poor love . I had to use the tweezers to get them out and give him a couple of magic plasters
Going to start my packing on Wednesday I think. DH has the day off so I'll get him to take the boys out for a couple of hours while I get on with it.

simpson · 02/08/2009 21:39

Gingeme - Eeeek at the cactus, I remember how big it was!! Poor lad

yes M did flash pants in restaurant and also proceeded to shout "bum bum" very loudly for anyone who might have missed it!!

JKS - love the pics especially the one of T & H together and of H covered in paint

hope M ok tomorrow as restaurant very vague as to what had butter on fingers X but a good time had by all, even if M would not still still the whole time

Gingeme · 03/08/2009 14:22

Lol Simpson I bet you were very impressed with your daughters antics
Not much happening here today. All my guests have now gone home and I'm now on my 3rd lot of washing but still have loads to go.
Ah well better get on. xx

simpson · 03/08/2009 18:20

Gingeme - good luck with the washing!!!

Been busy day here today, went into nearest town by bus for a shop and happy meal for Dcs.

Then J has played outside with neighbouring kids most of the afternoon so he is nice and tired for bedtime at 7

LaT - how are you doing??

Gingeme · 03/08/2009 22:30

Last towel in the tumble as I type. Probably about 2 more lots tommorrow but thats bed clothes so I can hang that on my clothes horses and let the sun dry it
I bought a practice righting book for David to do through the hols. It comes with gold stars for good work. He did 2 pages and got bored He, like me, is left handed and I noticed he will be a 'crab' righter. Which alot of leftys are. Its kind of like righting with your hand upside down iyswim? My cousin rights like it, she is also a lefty, and she has lovely hand righting.
Anyway I'm off to bed soon.
Night all xxx

madmouse · 04/08/2009 10:01

Hi all

Sorry have been very absent again from this thread - have been reading it though

Hope everyone is ok? LaT how are you?

Gingeme how are the boys?

Lily glad you enjoy camping?

Well all calm here - DH had bad night has headache, taken tablet that makes him drowsy.

Nathan had physio at 8.30 (yawn - but it was either that ar 2pm which kind of takes the afternoon away.

Dentist at 12 - if it goes well it will be root canal - if it fails will have to come out. eeeeek, I am no dentist hero at all

Hopefully meeting up this afternoon with friend and his daughters (9 and 12)- they like spending time with Nathan. Need dry weather for park!!!!

madmouse · 04/08/2009 10:03

Gingeme I am a lefty and hold my pen and pad straight in normal position - and have reasonable handwriting - it can be done!

simpson · 04/08/2009 10:03

Gingeme - fingers X you get some sun shine to dry washing, not looking to hopeful though

M has insisted on eating her breakfast this morning wearing her sun glasses
shock]

Of course she could not see very well and kept knocking things on floor but totally refused to take them off!!

Luckily J did want to wear any as we only have one kids pair

Gingeme · 04/08/2009 10:37

Morning ladies.
Yes madmouse I hold my pen straight too and have pretty reasonable wrighting How is the physio going? I bet he really enjoys it Good luck at the dentist today. DS3 and I have our check up tommorrow at 12.30.
Simpson M sounds like a real little comedian.
Weather is pretty rubbish here too today Nothing much planned though. A trip to Tesco thats about it.

madmouse · 04/08/2009 11:17

Nathan enjoying physio??? well as long as on his terms maybe. Sometimes he cries when he sees her and he is usually mightely NOT impressed when she corrects his posture/makes him stand equally on both legs etc. Sometimes he will sit on his bum head between his legs on the floor and complain loudly (bubububububudududududududuwaaah)

barristermum · 04/08/2009 11:37

Hello guys, Just thought as I was out of court today I'd swing by and do a quick catch up.

I was really sorry to see the time of things Simpson has been through lately. It sounds so very sad and so not what you dream of. Much love and support. Was also sorry to see Gingeme has had health scare - hope that has been sorted out my dear? Glad to see all LOs doing fabulously and that JKS and Madmouse are as ever being amazing supporting their children through various health issues.

All is well here - Cerys is running, tantrumming and gabbling with the best of them. Her first sentence was a very clear "Don't do that!" to me (I was dressng her lest you think for a moment she had justification!) She is nearly 3 foot and in 2-3 yr size clothes, so it is clear she is taking after her father in physique and her mother in attitude. Which could be worse. ALthough come back to me on that when she's a teenager.

I'm busy at work, which at the mo is combining well with family life, tho' the moment she is ill or I don't have enough time with the girl becomes something I just cannot cope with and I'm sure I'm ruining her and her father's liives. DH is a constant support and reassurance tho' he is proving hard to convince on the need for DC2. Sooner or later I guess I'm just going to have to make the decision for him I suppose - it's not as if he doesn't know how the process works .

Anyway, I'm sorry to only be a fleeting presence but I do think of you all and hover occasionally. Good luck to Lucky with the next - any more siblings pending? Love and hugs to all xxxxxxx

Gingeme · 04/08/2009 15:08

Oh madmouse didn't mean to hit a raw nerve re physio . Sorry!
Welcome back Barristermum Cerys sounds just fantastic as ofcourse I knew she would be being a fellow red head . DC2 eh ? Keep us all posted on that one please? I am glad your all well and DH is being as wonderful as ever Try to pop by a bit more often. Oh and yes all is fine with me health wise thankyou .
Well I think I have everything for my hols. I bought a nice new large tioletries bag and DH though it was my new hand bag Its all on my bed now ready to be packed tommorrow.

madmouse · 04/08/2009 15:16

Gingeme you did not hit a raw nerve - thought the idea of Nathan enjoying physio was funny that's all

Hey barristermum - good to see you. Amazed at the 2-3 year old clothes!!! Nathan is still in 9-12 month trousers or 12-18 months with adjustable waist - he is a titch!!

Gingeme · 04/08/2009 15:23

Ok madmouse. Its just my rl friends DS has physio too because his feet turn out and he is such a tickle monster he spends his physio hour cracking up laughing

LaTrucha · 05/08/2009 13:04

Hello all!

Thanks for thinking of me!

We're all pretty much over the swine flu, although Sabela has a cough which came in after the swine flu for whihc she needs antibiotics. It also means we still have to keep away from friends which is driving us both insane

DH and I are aiming for a very much needed quiet August at home. We're doing stuff in the house and spending time together. It's our 'holiday at home'.

It got shattered last night when Dad rang on behalf of DB who is off the rails again. He's been an absolute pig to Dad and I'm livid with him. We rang him and he was begging us for help.I'm lividly angry with him so can't bear to have him in the house. We thought abou tit but everyone says the only way for him to get better is to leave him to it. So I think that is what we will do. very and though.

We really, really just need a quiet time at home.

Sorry to be all me! I'm going to try and keep up now, but...

Gingeme - enjoy your holiday!

Simpson - LOL at the knickers. I'm quite pleased they make Bob the Builder knickers though.

Lucky - congratulations!

Lily - Glad you enjoyed your hols.

Barristermum -hello!

Madmouse - glad to hear Nathan doind well. I think often of phoning you but things keep getting in the way.

Question: is anyone else's LO (I know M is Simpson) getting really opinionated now? Sabela will cry / whine complain / over the smallest, smallest thing if she wants her own way. Is it just keep busy, ignore, distract etc?

Gingeme · 05/08/2009 13:54

Good afternoon LaT I am so sorry your having a tough time. Glad your over the worst of your swine flu though.
Yes George is pretty opinionated too. Ignore is usualy the best tac tic but beware they usually get louder then until they realise your not giving in
George has a new trick and it cracks us all up he has learnt to move his eyebrows up and down. Its not much but we all do it with him and just crack up.
I have cut the boys hair and DH's this morning. I have packed the boys suitcase and the toiletrie case. Will do mine and DH's tomorrow.
Right off to get George out of his cot to give him some lunch.
Bye for now xx

madmouse · 05/08/2009 16:50

LaT - good to hear from you at last and sorry that things are so incredibly tough - your db - grrrrrr. It is so hard but so true that he needs to sort himself out now - nothing else will work. But that would be hard enough without your dad being so ill. Please do call when you have a chance and feel like it.

Opinionated? Have considered it as Nathan's new middle name. everything has to b e just so or else. we use distraction when we can but when he does something he knows he is not allowed to do and we have told him to stop we count to three slowly (and boy he knows what that means!!) then take the offending object off him. That immediately leads to huge tantrums which we then ignore. this young man with his limitations needs to be given some firm guidelines or he takes the mickey completely!!
