came home today to find dh and Nathan playing with bus- with Nathan doing better sitting/more mobility than EVER in physio and dh having ordered Nathan his own bus from Amazone for £8!

madmouse · 15/07/2009 17:24

Lily I would say yes he should go but not for three weeks

JustKeepSwimming · 15/07/2009 19:45

BBQ was fine thanks - despite the rain, the younger ones were on the trampoline and loved it! (12+yrs, lol)

Had horrible phone call with GOSH earlier (see my SN thread if you want a read!) but am calmer now.

Lily - def not 3 weeks. tbh i would say no as your whole family (ie his family) will miss out on holiday while he has a jolly. and i couldn't get past the envy
Oooh, fame!!

Madmouse - clever Daddy shopping for you like that

G - managed to resist the doritos until boys were in bed - still some left for tonight

Right, have bed bits of new bed to carry upstairs (after i've opened the boxes as they are too heavy) and construct. then going to do my toenails

Lilyloo · 15/07/2009 20:48

JKS what a rude man. As you said he didn't know what H has been taking etc I gather from that he is falling over a lot ?
It's so hard as they are assessing H next to others much worse and much better than H but that doesn't help you. He is H and you know him best and the care he recieves should be urgent. Guess you coming up to sticky road of private or not too ?

OP posts:
JustKeepSwimming · 15/07/2009 22:48

H only started the falling over yesterday - and didn't see any of it today. only saw 3 nods as i was carrying him downstairs for lunch.
he still slept 9-12 and 2-5 though.
up at 7, down at 7, so usual 6 hours awake...

we have mentioned private to each other, waiting to see what happens next.

Gingeme · 18/07/2009 13:07

Hey ladies. Its awful quiet here.
My two big boys are here for two weeks now. We are going to our local park to the fair when George wakes up
Has anyone seen the offer on Pampers nappies in Morrisons? We bought 4 packs on Thursday and am going to buy some more today. Pretty good as we only have one in nappies now
How is everyone doing? Enjoting the sunshine I hope x

JustKeepSwimming · 18/07/2009 14:38

at just one in nappies!

hope you are having fun with the big boys there too - and they aren't eating you out of house and home!

all ok here, busy.
PIL have gone off to visit a very ill friend of theirs that lives near-ish.
Going to do some baking with T in a mo, got people coming over tonight so got drinks chilling in the fridge, otherwise not much going on.

Hope everyone ok

simpson · 18/07/2009 16:38

Hi all

I am back

Had a fab time and the weather was lovely but had no signal on mobile so came back to loads of voice mail messages from H

M walking (ish) but still tends to crawl everywhere if she wants to go more than 10 steps in distance

Have not had a chance to catch up yet but will do it when kids are in bed....

Gingeme · 18/07/2009 21:28

Welcome home Simpson. Glad you had a good time away
JKS yes they are eating like a plague of locusts
We all went to the fair this afternoon. Had great fun. Spent way too much but it was good. I went on the dodgems with the boys and drove like a maniac. Brilliant.
Best of all Edward did all that and went shopping without wetting himself
Going swimming tomorrow. Phew! x

simpson · 18/07/2009 22:19

forgot to say what do we reckon to a meet up??

Gingme - going to fete/fun fair type thing tomorrow with RL friend whether permitting...

Gingeme · 19/07/2009 16:10

Mmmm.... meet up could be hard here. Not alot of time really till September really.
Simpson what was the fair like? Good I hope.
We were meant to go to a car boot this morning but it was raining hard by time we got there. Ended up in Clown Town which wasn't too bad as it wasn't too busy so the big boys got to play too without being told off

LaTrucha · 19/07/2009 20:18

Hi ladies,

I have a brief moment on the internet so I thought I'd drop in and say 'hello.'

Birmingham meet up maybe?

Sorry about that phonecall JKS. I think some doctors really need a lot of time to work out how to talk to people. And some never get it. After I had Sabela I had a very new doctor telling me I wasn't producing milk (which I was) becasue I was depressed as I'd had a very trauamtic time etc... He really should have asked me how I was because at that point I was ecstatic!

Simpson - gla dyou had a good holiday.

Ginegeme - Potty training seems pretty painless there. Well done!

Lily- what did you decide?

Ok. Sorry to do thi to you again girls, but AF is a day late! Buying a test tomorrow.

simpson · 20/07/2009 09:37

LaT - good luck with test today

Got busy day today.

Going to J's school to buy his PE kit then to post office.

Then got solicitors appt this afternoon.

Kids being treated to happy meal with my dad while I am there.

Also good news...I am getting a new fence as the house next door is council and the council are putting it up today and is costing me nothing obv.

JustKeepSwimming · 20/07/2009 10:33

Hi Simpson, welcome back - glad you had a good time, any details?
Good luck with solicitors today.
oh and well done on the fence

G - any crumbs left?!
Sounds like E has really got it now then?
Fancy a trip out here over the summer? we could try and do a south-eastern meetup?

LaT - hi there! and thanks So.........?

Well had a busy weekend, am knackered now, too many late nights and early mornings.
Not going into the office today as colleague has day off and i can do most stuff from home anyway. i don't like being there on my own - not in a creepy way or anything, just prefer to have the news on here and potter/work rather than sit in a quiet office.

And so behind on laundry it's not funny, luckily sun shining so load 1 is already out

Gingeme · 20/07/2009 10:34

Hi LaTrucha
Yey on the new fence bet thats going to look smart Good luck at the solicitors later Simpson.
Is Fairysparkles still about?
Edward has gone to his pre school today for a teddy bears pic nic. Feels strange taking him there on a Monday when he usually goes Wed - Fri. Just glad the weathers nice for them to go to the park for it.
I have made an appointment for David at the docs. He has had this cough for 8 weeks now it goes and comes back again and is now keeping him , and us, awake at night. Think it could be asthma Appointment at 4.20. Just hope they can do something about it before our holiday.
George is enjoying the attention og his big brothers he's getting to be a real cheeky bum I let him go without his nappy for a bit before bed last night and he followed Edward into the bathroom and did a wee on the floor. Funny thing was he stood like a proper boy and looked down at his willy so funny.
Well not much planned for today. Catching up on washing etc.
Might go to see Ice Age 3 with the boys later.
Have a good day all xx

LaTrucha · 20/07/2009 20:32

Gingeme!

Lilyloo · 20/07/2009 21:28

Gingeme · 20/07/2009 22:41

LaTrucha. x
Welcome home Lillyloo. Shall look forward to hearing all about your holiday soon
David has been given an inhaler. Brown and blue one he hasn't got asthma though he has bronchial hyperactivity post viral infection ! Basicaly he has had a chest infection which is still lingering and the inhaler should help to open his airways. He took his brown inhaler like a pro before bed . The doc said we should see some difference within a couple of weeks.

JustKeepSwimming · 21/07/2009 06:44

G - i'm very glad D doesn't have asthma, hope the inhalers clear things up asap. Just think of a couple of weeks time when he's not coughing anymore

Lily - welcome back, hope it all went well?

LaT - are you a few days late now? Have you been temping/charting? wishing you pg vibes and a positive test soon.

up early here again

and greeted by a poo from T straight away, lovely.

Did lots of tidying up yesterday, not sure anyone could tell though not sure what we're up to today, friends over later, DH home late, that's it i think.

simpson · 21/07/2009 09:31

Hi all

Was greeted with poo here too M seems to be pooing lots ATM

LaT - another one sending positive vibes here too

Where is Ange these days??

Got another busy day today.

Got RL friend popping in this morning then this afternoon going to get M's feet measured for her first pair of shoes!!!

Gingeme - on the not been asthma although David is ill iyswim. Hope he gets better soon....

Gingeme · 21/07/2009 11:40

Morning ladies.
Yuk with the poohey nappies this morning. Don't envy you at all.
I know what you mean JKS. David took his inhaler again this morning and we all helped by counting his 10 breaths
Edward still doing brilliant with his toilet training As soon as he takes his nappy off in the morning he goes straight for a wee. Night time nappy much to wet for trying night times just yet though.
Just been to Morrisons. The nappy promotion is no longer on
Thats about it from me. x

simpson · 21/07/2009 14:51

Just got back from shopping and M has her first pair of shoes

Size 3.5E and she looks so proud of herself in them. Keeps glancing down and saying "shoes"

On the way to town we were getting on the bus and M said "big red bus!!"

She made a couple of old dears sitting near us laugh.

Gingeme glad toilet training going well

LaTrucha · 21/07/2009 17:01

Simpson - Ooo lovely - new shoes!

Gingeme - Well done on training. You're a pro!

JKS - hmm -morning nappies are awful. Fortunately we don't get them here too often.

Well the test was right. It's a 'no'. And I thought I was being a good girl wating to test for three days! Ho hum....

Things pretty dire here - thank goodness I'm going to see my bf tomorrow. Now I just have to negotiate the train on my own with about four changes.

simpson · 21/07/2009 17:12

LaT - sorry to hear things not great

Can we help??

M totally driving me potty ATM.

She was totally spoilt while we were on holiday and now wants my attention all day. Grr...

Temper tantrums galore

I also thing she is frustrated as she wants to walk better than she can iyswim.

JustKeepSwimming · 21/07/2009 18:26

Well GOSH phoned again today:

  • they don't want to try the Epilim/Keppra combo (dunno why really and think they may have their own agenda and are slightly ignoring what i've said but hey ho)
  • they want him to start a 3rd drug (Oxcarbazepine i think - Trileptal?)
  • the local hosp will call me tomorrow to arrange issuing it
  • they also have 'applied' for him to have an MRI at GOSH, expect to wait 6-8 weeks.

It's all positive/progress/steps forward i guess but it's made me feel really down about it all

Plus had friend's LO here (11mo) and seeing how much more she does just brought it all home more. She's not only doing more than he was at 11mo, she's doing more than he does now at 18mo.

G - hope the inhaler kicks in asap.

Simps - yey for new shoes

LaT - sorry to hear things aren't great good luck with trains tomorrow! bad luck re test.
