Madmouse - M is fascinated with doors ATM too

Is one of her new words but she gets confused as patio door to garden all glass and she calls it "window"

Got on ok at hosp. Had minor panic as toss pot pead was there in the end and said he wanted to see M but luckily when pead called us (nice one who we had appt with) he was busy with someone else

Anyway, M being referred to physio to see if they can help her walk. But TBH waiting list is long as she will probably be walking by the time we see anyone.

Lilyloo · 07/07/2009 12:40

at Nathan gliding across nursery floor
door catches are good idea for this age MM , esp if they like doors!

JKS have nice few days in London. What's the pj walk for ?

Simps i guess it's just waterproofs to pop on when it showers. If you can avoid those it still seems quite sunny and warm in between. Are you worried about M walking then or did someone else refer her ?

Gingeme lot's of positive toilet vibes being sent from here too!

LaT that's awful about that little boy
sorry no idea about pram restraints , is it just the arm ones ? Presume that means she still strapped in at the waist ? Maybe a set of reins you can attach to pram ? Bit like we did with highchair. We have had so many scares with M it really could be so easy!

Had H sports day yesterday and he won one of the races
L got her pre school class photo today , i can't believe she finishing in a week
On the presents front i really need some cheap ideas. I have to get two teachers , two teaching assisitants and the headmaster ( he leaving) for H and 4 pre school teachers for L.
Made some blueberry muffins with my blueberrys out of the garden yesterday too , they are lovely!

Nice to see you madmouse. I was smiling while I was reading that. Hes a cheeky boy
Simpson its all a step ,no pun intended, in the right direction. Glad you saw the nice pead too
JKS enjoy London
No toilet training today Edward is realy so poorly as is George we just about made it quickly around Tesco without mental melt down. I feel pretty crap still too. David is supposed to be having his sports day this afternoon but I think it will probably be rained off as its been pouring most of the day
My sun burn has been driving me nuts this morning. It is sooooooooo itchy. Ive tried after sun and Benedryl and cold water. Its eased a bit now. Totaly my fault for not being sun safe though
Well thats it for now. Hope your all well x

I've just spent thirty minutes trying to find the power cable for our printer in the cupboard. The entrance is in a tight space and Sabela kept coming to give my back hugs, sit on my legs etc - get ATTENTION PLEASE MUMMY - and I still haven't found it. I only want to print a return label from Amazon for something that cost £3.00! Grrr

I've also spent most of my 'me' money this week on Sabela yet again! I bought her a puddle suit and wellies. V. cute! And now I won't have to keep saying, 'But you can't go out, it's wet.' Can't believe it's July.

Madmouse - hello you! Nathan is a cheeky, cheeky boy. Good news about his hand. Does he still have physio?

Simspon - M's langauge amazing. It's horrid trying not to get stressy about 'milestones' isn't it? Whoever invented that horrible word? If it's any help, Sabela didn't even look close until I pushed and pushed her (and I felt the need of some physio help there too but I improvised) and I can't tell you how quickly she has come on. In fact she is now sitting herself up from lying down, crawling and pulling herself up. It all happened from literally zero, in a week.

JKS - It's the most frustrating thing not sleeping while your child sleeps. At the moment I have Sabela squawking in the night then DHs snoring to keep me awake after that. Not happysville here. Sorry about the meds. How often does he go to nursery. I can't imagine you're too happy about them not noticing things.

Lily - those muffins sound fantastic. Well done you! I might have to get some extra reins. It is just the arm ones. I've pinned them as tightly as I can but she just takes her arms out straight away.

Sorry about the sun burn Gingeme. I got a lecture once from a doctor telling me that the chemicals in suncream are just as carcenogenic as getting burnt. I just had to point out that getting burnt damn hurts!

fillybuster · 07/07/2009 14:10

Hi ladies, hope you and the los are all keeping well and busy?!

Realised this morning that its been months now since I was able to keep up properly; I'm so sorry, as you're all so lovely and I would have loved to have been able to stay in touch...unfortunately work has rather got in the way and sitting in an open plan office (with a huge stack of things on my 'to do' list) means that being online all day doesn't equal being able to read MN at all

I've finally escaped from the job/manager from hell into a similar role with a less sociopathis manager....I'm even busier as I'm running a new team and filling 2 roles myself, but hopefully will remember how to smile again sometime soon

Started TTC number 3...this is all very new (about 2 days in [shock}) so am not holding my breath or anything but it definitely seems like a good reason to stay put where I am now with work and try and just get through it!! Obviously will let you know if there is any news, although I doubt it will be particularly fast....

Can anyone update me on how the various mums who were already pregnant again are getting on?

Tamara is doing great, babbling away with some definite words, still commando crawling everywhere at high speed and not remotely interested in walking, although she's been cruising around on the furniture for ages now. Never mind, I'm sure she'll get there when she's ready - although I'm desperate for her to stop ruining all her clothes in the garden!!

Hope you're all well xxx

Gingeme · 07/07/2009 18:26

We have just had Edwards first wee on the toilet lots of cheering and dancing round the living room. My clever boy

AngeChica · 07/07/2009 20:27

Hi filly! Sounds like all good with you. I don't have too much time to post either but still love to lurk and read everyone's news of their LOs.

Re baby news: Bluebell82 had a girl Darcy, MrsMcJnr had a girl, Aaliyah, and Nicky6 had a boy Noah. No-one else in the pipeline AFAIK!

DH away on a course cue early morning dog walk with DS in tow.

MIL coming from London to stay for a few days tomorrow.

JustKeepSwimming · 07/07/2009 21:31

Simps - IoW, very nice, been there a few times and loved it. where are you staying? glad you saw the nice paed and good luck with referral, hope you don't need it!

Madmouse - LOL at gliding N across the floor! have done similar with both boys, esp T when he builds a camp right behind the door....

Lily - the pj walk is just to raise funds for the pre-sch - they want to ge tlots of new stuff next year, including a road builders set - sucked me in with that one as i know T would love it, pneumatic drill and all
can't you just make loads of muffins? too cheap?

LaT - hope you found the cable after all that!? H only goes 1 day a week and i'm thinking of giving up work to take him out tbh. they never seem to count his absences and were v shocked when he had his fit there a few weeks ago. he just doesn't sleep there enough and is always in someone's arms when i go in to collect him.

FILLY!!!!!! hi there sorry work is annoying, yey for ttc no 3 though! you're a few months ahead of me, still trying to wait till next Jan to start. though things with H may delay that....

G - yey for Edward and his wee!

Ange - one reason i haven't given in on dog front yet - i would have to walk it as dh away too often. one day, maybe!

simpson · 08/07/2009 10:38

Well done Molly! I told you Simpson - it's as soon as you start getting stressy about it that they do it. I bet you're a very proud mummy!
