Gingeme · 04/07/2009 09:46

Right off for a quivk sjower.
Enjoy the sunshine all xx

JustKeepSwimming · 04/07/2009 10:24

G - good luck with getting tickets - and with E today.

Sunny here - too hot for the boys i think, H happy to play indoors & T happy with tv.
DH out with work until after lunch.

T was up and down from 2-4am this morning - and i think i prob got back to sleep about 5.
then T up at 7.30 (which is amazingly late for him but not surprising given his antics)
me and H up at 9. Meant H was late with his drugs this morning though so a few nods. He's upped the does from 1.6x2 to 1.9x2 today so let's see if that helps....

Meanwhile his sleep pattern is all over the place, prob want to go to bed at 11. not sure but think i may try and drag it out till 12 for a quick lunch then he can sleep all afternoon if he wants. meanwhile boys both still in pjs so best try and make an effort and get them dressed, lol.

Hi all

Had a bit of a shock today.

never bother closing bottom stair gate as DD can never get off the bottom step but today I showed her how to do it and straight away she was climbing to the top with me following.

Well, later on was on phone to RL friend and suddenly thought "where is M?"

She was at the top of the stairs just sitting there

Also she has been using J's wheelybug as push along toy as it goes round corners iyswim so she has spent loads of time on her feet today

Gingeme - did you get tickets?

JKS - did not get M dressed till midday today

J gets himself dressed now otherwise he wouldn't have been dressed either

Lilyloo · 05/07/2009 19:31

Wow sooo quiet on here these days
where is everyone , come on girls even Simps can get on when she shouldn't have internet

L just doing her last show tonight We went to watch last night and then i stayed this afternoon and me and L watched the second half (she in first half) rather than come home and go back tonight! She had full stage make up which she thought was fab
H also had football tournament yesterday and was only goal scorer for his team and got man of the match
All in all busy weekend! I hitting the wine and dp taken H and friend to watch L tonight so not sure what time they back.

Ginge did you get tickets ?

Simps they just do it in the blink of an eye. MIL has been here this wend and she couldn't believe how M gets up and down the stairs.

JKS you made any inroads on the camping yet ?? We booked to go on 17th July , can't wait

Hey to everyone else. Has Lucky gone now would be really to see this thread go , hope not!

Lilyloo - glad you had good weekend

Have had to buy another wheely bug as I can't cope with the fighting over the one we have

M uses it as a walker and spends all day on her feet pushing it around which it is good at as it even goes round corners.

She climbs on it but can't move as her feet barely touch the floor

Think lucky having trouble getting on MN ATM

Yes ginge did you get tickets?

Am going to use ours as J's birthday treat and he is getting Sporticus outfit for his birthday which of course is in the attic

Gingeme · 05/07/2009 20:22

Evening ladies.
Totaly forgot about the tickets tbh just had a very busy weekend.
Saturday morning I had my hair done while Dh took all the boys to Davids school fete. Went to my friends BBQ in the afternoon. George found the water and spent the afternoon soaking wet
Today we were meant to go to a car boot sale but got there too late then went to another school fete and had a great afternoon. I saw my midwife there which was lovely to see her again after 17 months
My big boys have gone home now. Little ones in bed so peace again.
On the toilet training front nothing on the toilet as yet but 2 wees on the floor and a poo

JustKeepSwimming · 05/07/2009 20:34

I'm here

G - best of luck with the toilet-training. can't face poo on the carpet!
bumped into my midwife the other day too - H was tired and grumpy in the buggy and T had just scratched his nose, making it bleed so looked a sight!

Lilyloo - no definite plans as yet. thinking we will camp in PIL garden when we go to say bye to BIL & family (emigrating to Oz in Sept - currently living with PIL so not much space) - what DH calls 'soft' camping, lol.
Where are you going?

Simps - at M - keeping you on your toes! H loves climbing the stairs - mostly because it means he's going to bed!

H had a not great day yest, about 5 absences at 9am when he got up (after T disturbed his night), so his morning drugs were late. He went up a dose yesterday too. Then he had about 40 nods in the afternoon
Had a better day today, no nods seen and not too much sleep either.
the next few days should tell us if the increase has worked....

Lilyloo · 05/07/2009 21:30

Ginge are you going to leave the tickets ? Or try again ?

JKS hopefully worse before he gets better ? We going here on 17th , here in August for weekend with neighbours and here with my best friend in August for a week

Can't wait to get everything out and test it

Simps H used to have that outfit , sold it on ebay i think last year!

L back exhausted , think may give pre school a miss tom! H has his sports day tom aft , bad weather report though!

OP posts:
simpson · 05/07/2009 21:46

lilyloo - am dreading sports day if J wants me running in parents races

Got Sporticus outfit from woolies closing down sale. have also got Stephanie one for M when she is bigger.

JKS - do you think its due to H having meds late?

Gingeme - good luck with toilet/potty training.

simpson · 06/07/2009 10:26

Ange - there are still tickets for newcastle 15th July for Lazy Town.

But you need to book soon, offer runs out at midday today.

Gingeme · 06/07/2009 11:51

Morning ladies.
No not going to bother with the tickets.
Got two poorly boys here. High temps and bad coughs My throat is red raw too. David thank goodness is ok and at school
Shame realy cause we had such a fun weekend.
JKS I remember ds1 doing something like that the day before we went to see his hv. He fell out his buggy and had an egg bump on his forehead then teased next doors cat and had a scratch on his arm I must have looked like a child batterer. Mind you she was a lovely lady and just said 'boys will be boys'
RE toilet training we don't have carpet except up the hall but Edward did wee on that today. He has his star chart all ready and up on the door with a packet of star stickers. Toilet seat and matching step. Now all we need is that first initial wee on the toilet and were away
Hoping he'll be trained within 5 weeks for our holiday fingers crossed.

LaTrucha · 06/07/2009 14:00

Hi all!

The thread will NOT die!

Well, DH DID come home on the Thrusday. I sort of had a hunch he would. So, we;ve been having a cosy weekend which is why I've not been on. We've actually been having a few barneys - a combination of him being a workaholic and me not having much patience ATM. He wanted to go into work on Friday (I had cancelled what I usually do fo rhim). He was very cross because he had to go and put his expenses calims in V. big from LaTrucha - seing as he was going to come back on Saturday anyway . Well, I won and Sabela stuck like a limpet to him all weekend. Bliss.

Sabela is now walking and crawling and can just about get herself up . I had the fright of my life yesterday morning as her cot is foot on to the side of my bed (so her feet are next to my head). The end of her cot os solid wood, so normally I can't se eher. I woke up yesterday morning to her crying and her little head peeping over the end of the cot. I nearly fell out of bed in surprise.

Glad those who wanted got Lazy Town tickets.

Gingeme - how's the boys and the throat? Oh, and don't worry - Sabela managed to give herself a black eye about half an hour before Daddy came home

JKS - how are the new meds going?

Madmouse - Lurker! How's it going?

Simpson - at the stairs. Also happened to a firend of mine whose first wasn't at all interested in the stairs. She came out from cleaing her teeth one morning to find no.2's head peeping over the last step!

Lilyloo- I'll still be here. I've noticed it quiet too but hey. We're still around. How's your little escape artist these days?

Ooo - that reminds me question: what do you do if your LOs can escape the arm restraints on the pram? Sabela seems to be able to get out of them no matter how tight I do them. I'm super safety conscious ATM as a friend of mine is an ICU nurse and just had a 9month old boy die after falling from his high chair . So easily done.

Gingeme · 06/07/2009 16:11

Afternoon ladies.
The boys seem to be a bit better after 2 and half hours sleep this morning They both wolfed down their lunch and asked for more so it doesn't seem to be affecting their appetites
Lost count how many times I have asked Edward if he needs a wee this afternoon still no wee on the toilet yet!
Can't help with the high chair question I'n afraid . Sorry x

simpson · 06/07/2009 16:25

Hi all

Busy day today as I took M to singing & dance class which she loved

This is J's last week at nursery

Am I supposed to buy the teachers all a present??

Also got J's start date for school which is the 17th Sept.

On 18th Sept we go to see Lazy Town (is a Friday) but will be ok as J only stays at school 9-12 for first 4 days

LaT - sorry can't help on the highchair/buggy situation. Luckily M's mclaren is really hard for even me to do the straps so doubt she would manage it

Am at hosp with M again tomorrow for pead appt and have just rung them and am deffo not seeing wanker pead

Gingeme - glad boys seem better

JustKeepSwimming · 06/07/2009 17:11

hi everyone

Lily - all those campsite look great - though i have to confess to a bias against Anglesey after hitchiking to there for ferry trips to Ireland!
T has the Sportacus outfit too - wondering whether he'll wear it to the show or go as a pirate as that what he prefers atm - and of course we don't have a pirate costume yet!

Gingeme - sending more toilet wishes your way, lol! will really have to get on with it for T but just don't fancy the accidents

LaT - glad DH came home early, hope you've cleared the air a bit and back on track
Oh and H has never managed to get out of his straps in highchair, buggy or car so no help i'm afraid.

Simps - i don't know about presents for everyone either. was thinking we ought to send something into pre-sch but i prefer something they can all share, though they must get sick of boxes of biscuits/chocolates. need a new idea - mini strawberry pavlova-type things from M&S maybe?

H's meds not really working no. i thought he'd had a better day on Sunday but actually i'd missed loads as was asleep/out. turns out he had loads of absences
he's been at nursery today so not sure what he's been up to as they don't seem to count them/see them.

Had a lovely day with T though:

  • pre-sch sports day (indoors unfortunately as rain caught us), he loved it & his medal
  • picnic lunch (sun came out)
  • to the funfair with a friend for a couple of hours, loves it there
  • quick play on the beach (strong wind so not actually that pleasurable, lol)
  • tea in a cafe (he loves cafes!)

then collected H. felt a bit mean for H but couldn't have managed any of it with him. hopefully dh can work from home more and 'H-sit' while me and T go out...

right, we are all knackered now so tv until early nights for all i think/hope!

Gingeme · 06/07/2009 19:47

Evening ladies. Well we had 2 sits on the toilet with his seat on and alot of chatting and touching of the willy. No wees but a poo on the floor in his bedroom but atleast he is sitting on the toilet now . They ate lots of tea tonight again but Edwards voice had almost gone by bed time
RE teachers gifts. I gave pre school a basket of muffins when David left. They do them in Greggs. Not sure if still do as this was 3 years ago. Just a thought. I shall get flowers for his reception teachers next week
HTH x

simpson · 06/07/2009 21:30

Just had RL friend pop in for a bit which was nice and we had a glass of red each
had
She dropped off play tent I lent her for her hols last week which I will pack for our holiday next week.

Getting excited now about getting away

JustKeepSwimming · 07/07/2009 06:47

Simps - i know you've said several times, but..where are you going?

G - more toilet wishes for you today!

Well, we are going to stay with DH in London for a couple of days - have the net so may pop on - T very excited about going to work with Daddy, lol! PIL coming up to meet us , my brother and his gf coming to babysit one evening so we can go out with work people for dinner - should feel 'civilised'
Got to come back early Thurs for a 'pyjama walk' with T's pre-sch (have a friend booked to 'H-sit') - saves me getting T dressed that day at least, lol!

T woke at 6,10, yeyeyeyeyey! I had a nightmare and woke at 4 and couldn't resettle need sleep training myself....

simpson · 07/07/2009 08:57

JKS - going to the isle of Wight on Sat for a week with a friend, my mum and brother (and DCS obv.!!)

Hope weather is nice

Gotta dash got hosp appt with M at 10.

Enjoy London BTW

madmouse · 07/07/2009 10:34

Hi all

LaT - true I am lurking instead of posting. Just not much to write - at least nothing that is positive.

Apart from my little man of course so should make more of an effort to do that!! Nathan is progressing with his right hand, he now sometimes uses it to reach for a toy and he is working to transfer toys from his left to his right hand which is amazing. Often still then the right hand fists up with the effort but that is getting better too!

He is also obsessed with opening and closing doors. Just needed dh to help as Nathan was in his nursery, had closed the door and was lying stretched out behind it. When you said 'Nathan open the door' he opened it just far enough to show his cheeky face but then it got stuck because he can only roll the other way ie towards the door not away from it. DH pushed the door open carefully, good job nursery has laminate - glides better.

madmouse · 07/07/2009 10:37

JKS hope you all enjoy London!
