Morning all.

Oops that's great news on the bf front. HOpefully you'll be able to get back to it after your meds are done.
Buckets I love the camping idea, but like others her, my DP probably wouldn't go for it. He won't camp
Seb currently playing with the phone stand, and about to fall off the couch.
He did something realy disgusting the other day - I was nearly sick. I won't tell, you as I don't want to put anyone off their breakfast.

oopsacoconut · 01/06/2009 09:43

Miamla - that place looks great! have just e-mailed the dome info to DH, offered to pay and am just waiting for the reply!

oopsacoconut · 01/06/2009 09:44

Hi Ann

cyteen · 01/06/2009 11:11

Ann I am taking a guess at poo eating?

Buckets love the festival idea, well up for that. I hear great things about Endorse It In Dorset, a small friendly festie that's been running for a few years. Know loads of people that have been, with and without kids, and they all rate it.

oops so glad to hear things are looking up a bit.

no1 have a brilliant holiday, you deserve it

Last night was better despite another million wake-ups, and DS has just had a nice hour-long nap so hopefully he's feeling a bit cheerier Off into town shortly as I am having a 'welcome back to work' lunch with colleagues at Carluccio's, so DS will having lunch with Daddy. Never fear Hot Mamas, I shall be ordering a salad or somesuch

TwilightSurfer · 01/06/2009 12:43

pf peers round the door slightly sheepishly and then wanders in....

Hello!

Sorry for my prolonged absence and thanks to everyone for thinking of me. I am going to have a read in a minute or later tonight but in the meantime I hope I have not missed any pregnancy/birth/death/marriage/engagement announcements....

I had to take a break from here as was a bit dependent on the site and was avoiding concentrating on reality. The prozac has now kicked in and the unbearable levels of anxiety I started to experience have completely gone, which is great. Slightly nervous about coming off it in a few months time but will take it as it comes.

I was going to go for counselling but have talked to dh and now decided I don't need to. I just need to make some life changes so will get on with that.

Anyway, don't want to bore you all so other news from here is that I am now 37 (couple of weeks ago) (lugs magnum of champagne onto thread). Apart from that Toby is teething like crazy, has about 6 coming at once (but nothing appearing), and is not crawling. He still isn't sleeping through the night so anyone else who has positive news on that front - please let me know. Dh has been away for most of May but things are now on the up as he spent half term with us and I can officially report that we had a Nice Time and I feel like our marriage is back on track.

And as for the thread title we are going to France for two weeks in 7 weeks time (hooray). Don't forget your lo's passports but also don't forget you need to ring up for a European health card thingy for them as well. Obv not relevant to TS who I'm sure is going somewhere much more glamorous anyway.

And I'm going back to work as of 10 August. Bah humbug.

oops Yes to the Tommee Tippee teats, 8oz milk a time and get a friend to try rather than you. However you may really struggle getting on to bottles at this stage. Beakers or an open cup may work better.

See you all later and I have been thinking of you all!

PetitFilou1 · 01/06/2009 14:43

Oh and a gold star to my dh for buying me a diamond necklace for my birthday which I told him was a blardy medal for having three children (he did laugh and no I didn't know I was getting it!)

oops ignore me if I am too late in the day with my post

ataraxis · 01/06/2009 15:30

Hello, hello, what a lovely day it is again today. Sneaking on before DH is back from picking the DCs up...

pf - Happy Birthday!! Love the diamond necklace . Glad that you are feeling happier. What part of France are you going to? We are going in about 7 weeks too...

Hi sazz , am planning to have a conversation with my boss tomorrow about some extra time off in August... so the zoo might be on the cards if you are up for it

Poor dd has a nasty nasty cough - taking her to the doctor later as it seems to be getting worse. She sounds like a duck, good thing bird flu is no longer the disease of the day

very intrigued about ann's comments... are we going to get an update?

ataraxis · 01/06/2009 15:32

ooh, on the subject of poo - SIL told us the other day that when she started potty training her dd, dd wandered into the kitchen holding something saying 'look at this mummy'... SIL put her hand out and....

AnnVan · 01/06/2009 15:57

Hi again everyone. Well I can update that cyteen guessed correctly. Little man did indeed eat some of HIS OWN poo!! I had a lovely job of washing it off his hands as well. bleurgh. For someone so lovely and cute he can be really disgusting!!

Hi PF good to see you. I've been absent too, but due to computer malfunction.
Just had another driving lesson, and it was fabulous!! Did emergency stops, junctions and corners. And he made me drive faster. Gear changes are much smoother now too. Loving it! The instructor said that next week I'll get to drive home.

lwfh · 01/06/2009 17:17

hello everyone, enough with the poo stories please - pukey lady over here so please be gentle with me!

pf good to hear that things are a bit better - still rubbish sleep here, but sambo and albs have had some good news I think after rubbish sleep so am taking heart from this.

oops so sorry to hear that things are so difficult etc. I hope that things get better soon. Lots of thoughts.

DS just went to sleep in his cot, just with some patting so some good news here too.

LoveBuckets · 01/06/2009 18:34

Tsk all these modern metrosexual men eh. Honestly me and DH were like that once, me worse actually, but when I was a Lollipop nappy agent they had this annual conference where you could bring your family and camp and I was so desperate to go meet the other agents irl. This was a proper eco-conference centre with strawbale urinals and hole in the floor shit cupboards! We had a great time, lovely to see kids frolicking about and having some freedom, and all this while I was suffering with morning sickness and having to get up first thing to make myself puke over said hole in the floor on to said shitpile!

Anyway, we've been to Larmer Tree Festival in Wiltshire twice and it's in a beautiful enclosed stately home gardens, lovely small festival with family atmos, not at all scary like the big ones. Also Camp Bestival in Dorset looks not unpleasant too.

LoveBuckets · 01/06/2009 18:35

Oopos, just read Longway's message - sorry!

PF you are so classy...diamonds, champagne, and France all in one post. Glad to see you. {{{hugs}}}

I have to boast I got new jewelry too today!!! I picked up the ring I designed. The stone is a fire opal that I purchase 20 years ago in Acapulco. It was senior spring break (that's a big deal here in the usa...note that's where all the girls gone wild videos come from). I love the ring!! I love it love it love it!!!! Order a strand of pearls before I left the shop.

Longway I'm not preggers but I'm with you on the poo stories and queasiness. EEEUUUWWWW!

DD1's first tennis lesson went so well I could cry. SHE LOVES IT!! I'm off now to upload video from the lesson.

Later.....>

LoveBuckets · 01/06/2009 20:33

TS Ooh tennis lessons, how cute! I know that relief feeling well, maybe she'll be able to vent herself smashing balls at people.

DH had his first day at new nearer office today, has swapped M3 motorway for local trainline and is in fiiiiiine mood. Great to have him home by 6pm.

hotterpotter · 01/06/2009 21:16

Hey PF great to see you sounding chipper

There's too much jewellery going on, diamond necklaces and TS your ring is sooooooo beautiful I love opals but do not have a lot of luck with them as am not too careful with jewels

Buckets yay for DH's easier commute it makes such a difference getting home earlier

Ewww re all the poo, although saying that, DS did a poo this morning so I changed his nappy and let him wander off nudey for 5 minutes. He then proceeded to do another one on the carpet, thank feck it was a firm one . Must be something in the air...

Also of all this talk of going to France, no holiday for us until September and then only maybe. Here's hoping for a(nother) home-grown heatwave

Hello pf and ataraxis!

Yukety yuk ann! At least you'll be well-prepared for the joy of potty-training .

And woohoo for the shorter commute for Mr Buckets. My DH on the other hand that there's to be no more working from home and all his weekly flights to London now have to be on the first flight down and last home. Making a 4.30am-10pm day.

Dizzy - Randomly caught Come Dine with Me on C4 at 5.30pm. It's the start of the Dundee/St Andrews week. Do you remember me mentioning they were looking for people last year?! Think they're all repeated together in a oner on Saturday. All terribly predictable so far. Super gruff Dundonian who thinks that the English are all the spawn of the devil juxtaposed with ridiculously posh and poncey English chap from St Andrews.

poppysocks · 01/06/2009 21:49

Oh and we're off to France in 5 weeks.

Miamla · 02/06/2009 08:25

very quiet on here. is someone chatty on holiday?!
