Thanks for brekker Sazzles.

I have posted some pictures of the girls yesterday on FB if anyone fancies a look.

I am suffering slightly from yesterdays over activity today so am back to bed in a bit when DD naps.

hotterpotter · 03/06/2009 08:15

Just nipping on to wish Cyteen loads of luck for today Hope you are feeling better.

Hope to be back for chat later (and a mojito) but we are off swimming this morning and it takes us aaaages to get ready for anything...

Miamla · 03/06/2009 08:34

hmm, my sausage is 10mths and 4 days! i echo what albs said... where did it go?

cyteen you poor thing, hope the lurgy is all gone when you woke up this morning

I'm full of a cold, having a nightmare making a dress for my cousin, DS teething (and not napping), huge argument with pil (both me and DP, i'm glad he's on my side!), and DP busy at work. all in all we're not full of the joys of spring here this week.

right, DS playing reasonably happily so i'd better go back to my sewing

Miamla · 03/06/2009 08:38

oops those photos are lovely

talking of photos, TS, forgot to say...beautiful ring!

oh and to add to my woes.. they're drilling and hammering next door already

sambo303 · 03/06/2009 09:48

morning ladies

ds is 9M tomorrow and still not sleeping through pf or actually sleeping more than 4 hours in a row. Last night he was up sobbing at 9pm, dark o clock and 4.30 then up for the day around 6.30 (dp took him downstairs so I could snooze)

We are taking him to my mum and dad today so we can have a 'date' (lunch and movie) and I'm seriously considering leaving him there.

cyteen hope you feel better today, good luck at work.

buckets love festivals and love camping - my dp is making us a yurt so will be ready next year!! Have been to a few in the past sans baby - we're thinking of Sunrise Off Grid this year, just not sure about a baby in a tent - scared of drunken fools falling on him

miamla sounds like you need to cancel today!

AnnVan · 03/06/2009 10:58

Hello everyone!
ts Seb won't be 9 months for a couple of weeks yet!! He's munching on banana atm and has eaten nearly a whole one! hope it doesn't upset his tummy though.
cyteen hope you're feeling better today.

TwilightSurfer · 03/06/2009 12:46

Wow that just made me realize Reese will be 10m in two weeks.

She is standing up on her own but not walking without help yet.

She is eating whatever she wants basically.

She is NOT sleeping more than 4 hours at a time through the night. When she wakes she acts like she's STARVING and most often downs 8oz in seconds.

She is saying mama, dada, bye, hi and waves.

She can clap, open and close doors (seriously she's learned to open our patio door when it's not locked).

She interacts with everyone around her.

She makes funny faces to get a smile from us.

She laughs and laughs and laughs and laughs at her sister (and pulls her hair).

oops those photos are gorgeous. Ahhh baby girls...hope I get to have one one day.

Thanks for all the good wishes ladies, I am actually quite enjoying myself despite still feeling like crud. Had a bit of a wobble after dropping DS off at nursery this morning, but when I phoned later on I was told he cried for five minutes after I left, then was distracted with toys. At time of phoning he was asleep after a milk feed. He does like to keep me on my toes!

I expect I'll call this afternoon and hear him having hysterics in the background Feels very weird being without him. I miss the feel of his lovely chubby arms and legs (remind me of this later tonight when I'm once again groaning under his weight ).

Thanks for the mojito TS Party sounds like a lot of work, don't forget to have fun yourself!

Oh, and Joe is 9 months and 2 days today. He has no teeth, is a proficient backward crawler and is turning into a very cheeky monkey

RedLentil · 03/06/2009 15:19

Glad it's going well Cyteen

My two girls have both woken at once in terrible moods. Gah!

Love to everyone else too.

Miamla · 03/06/2009 17:32

cyteen pleased its going well and that you're not being deprived of MN time

redLentil deep breaths.. not long now til bedtime!

anyone keeping track of my various ailments? i've got another one to add to the list! I had a blood test to see if i was anaemic last week because i've been really dizzy. I've had results back and they were normal soooo, been back to docs today. she's checked today and i've got a low blood pressure and high pulse rate. i'm now being sent off for bloods to check my thyroid. if that comes back normal, i'm off for an ecg. Oh my, will the excitement ever end. i almost started crying in the docs. told her i feel like i'm falling apart and she was really sweet. told me that i'm getting a normal number of ailments but its just that normally patients spread them out and don't get them all at the same time

my bro came over this afternoon. he may as well have been a knight on a white horse. he came in, took over with DS which left me free to sort the dress out. once i was done and we'd had lunch, he sent me off to bed for a nap. oh, and i promised not to tell anyone but i trust you lot to keep it secret... the reason i managed to sort the dress out is because his chest size is similar to that of the recipient so he tried it on for me. he looked very pretty and i love him so much for doing it.

RedLentil · 03/06/2009 18:34

Ah Miamla, he sounds lovely. How kind.

All was fine here once everyone had a drink and a snack. Unfortunately my tackling lessons for DS are paying off and my shins have been kicked to pieces.

Off for the second half.

Apparently I'm playing for 'Berrselooona.'

DD2's update later, though hopefully she won't be up later. 2 -4 am last night she was bashing our heads shouting 'momomomom' or 'dadadadad' to try to get us to play.

alittlebitshy · 03/06/2009 18:47

miamla i'm not sure if you're saying your bro has man boobs (moobs?) or the recipeint is rather flat. lol.

hotterpotter · 03/06/2009 18:49

Miamla is your cousin flat-chested or does your bro have man-boobs? Sorry to hear there's something else wrong, but sounds like you have ironed out the doctor trouble, phew

Red...arnica

Cyteen glad today has gone OK. I hope Joe gave you a massive smile when you were reunited, not like my DD who didn't even notice I had gone back to work

Sazzles pass that mojito please I think I deserve it, had a lovely swim with some friends and then done loads in the garden this afternoon.

TS I have suffered a few casualties but am so far winning the snail wars. Greedy feckers

hotterpotter · 03/06/2009 18:50

Hehe albs great minds think alike

Miamla · 03/06/2009 19:02

bro is weight trainer. his dream is to be world's strongest man one day so his chest is erm rather defined ;) Its all muscle though.. as i was doing the fitting earlier, he proved it by dancing his pecks!

yeah, finally realised that the doc really is on my side and hates the red tape as much as i do. when i turned up today she commented that she hoped i was there with an old complaint and that it wasn't that another bit of me was falling apart!

better go, much hidying to do before dp's friend turns up tonight

dizzydixies · 03/06/2009 19:28

evening ladies, am finally back and have the laptop so if you'll let me break from the glamour that is fishing jobbies out of the bath give me a minute to catch up with you all and I'll fill you in with the thrills and spills of the dixie life

I am sitting here pretending furiously that ds2 is actually asleep and not up doing naughty things that I should be addressing but am soooo bored of that I just can't face it . Any one want a very cute but particularly mad/independent/disobedient 4 year old?

ah the joys of bathpoo dizzy, I remember it well...

cyteen, glad today went well

miamla at muscles on anyone but a bit frightened of dancing pecs!

dd is a bit better, doc just said vicks & Karvol as expected. But the frightening news here is that she has started to climb stairs... in a house that it is impossible to fix a stairgate on to could be interesting...
