lol sputnik!
i am an auntie
my sister in law had her baby last week (only just thought to ring me tho )
he is gorgeous i am very and thats just by going on the FB pictures god knows what i will be like when we go to see him!

HellHathNoFury · 28/06/2009 19:45

I am not broody in the slightest.
Is that wrong?

London Zoo was good, I got 1/2 price entry so even better.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 28/06/2009 19:46

Well done Foxy!

Yay for being an auntie Natty

My throat is so sore I can hardly stand it And I am beginning to feel dizzy when walking about Am badically very sorry for myself. I have declined tea as it is so painful to eat really. I just tried a slice of bread (softest pappiest white) and jam as something soft and it was just awful! After the first mouthful I seriously condiered soaking it in milk! Ah well, it's settled then, an ice cream only diet for me!

HellHathNoFury · 28/06/2009 19:47

Jammy sounds like tonsilitis??

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 28/06/2009 19:50

Has crossed my mind Fury

HellHathNoFury · 28/06/2009 19:53

When I have a sore throat I eat scratchy foods without chewing, like crisps and toast.

DH thinks this is weird but I love it.

TheNatty · 28/06/2009 20:01

fury you are weird.

funnily enough thats what the hospital told my sister to eat after having her adenoids (sp?) out.

i cant cope with this heat. my god.
(imagine a beached whale of a pregnant woman in her underware with three fans and a large cup of ice cubes)
i bet the minute i have this baby it will rain all summer

LackaDAISYcal · 28/06/2009 23:22

fury...you are weird, but I can see the appeal; pain being close to pleasure and all that!!!

and of course you aren't broody; you're heavily pregnant fgs, and probably thoroughly fed up with the whole shebang!

sorry you are feeling so crap jammy. get yourself off to the docs tomorrow.

pregnant and heat = misery. My suggestion; fill up the kids paddling pool tomorrow and park yourself in it

lol sputnik at relief at unloading your baby stuff

well done foxy lady . I did a race for life a few years ago after my mum had had successful treatment for non-hodgkins lymphoma. It was very emotional. I was going to do it again after her lung cancer diagnosis but I got pregnant with DD instead. Next year for sure. Now remind me, did I sponsor you? If not, is it too late to do it now?

We had a playdate/mummy date today which was really nice. I really get on with the mum of one of DS's classmates (probably more than the two DS's get on) so thay came over for a BBQ this afternoon. It was lovely sitting on the patio in the sun catching up with things. I don't see her at school now as she started working full time at the end of summer term last year.

I have finally listed all my unwanted nappies on usednappies this evening and have sold one already...woohoo . If they all sell, I'll have made £150 for about eight hours work. Not bad really!!

bumble has a tooth!!! and the little sod bit me when feeding him strawberries earlier. He better bloody well not bit the boob that feeds him. DD was a biter and it was horrible.

I have for sale:

One dog that begs and smells of something evil
a whinging child that cries if you so much as look at him
a friend that has cats and nothing else. You know the ones.

Offers considered.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 29/06/2009 09:17

Sorry Fury, I don't anticipate you'll get many offers!

Have called in sick Had really bad night and throat feels even more swollen this morning and with a rank taste at back of mouth. Seeing the nurse at 11.30.

TheNatty · 29/06/2009 09:56

yeah jammy sounds like tonsilitis to me, horrid poor you

i have a lazy husband, and two children that smell of wee to add to the sale this morning fury.
oh and two bedsets of wet through bedding.

both of mine in the bath while i MN on the loo.. this is the life eh?

Ohforfoxsake · 29/06/2009 10:11

LOL Natty! It is shite, isn't it?

Ohforfoxsake · 29/06/2009 10:15

Sorry to hear you aren't well Jammy. Sounds nasty. Does gargling with soluble paracetemol or TCP help?

And yes, you did sponsor me, thank you.

Daisy, you were going to but I didn't give you the link at the time you asked - sorry, my fault! Even Fury sponsored me, and she don't sponsor no-one, never. And her DS did (Fury, you wanna watch him with those great computer skills and his access to your debit card )

I had a bloody good day yesterday, the weekend was really hard work, but topped off with a lovely barbeque and wonderfully behaved children who just all got on and played really well

Rialentless · 29/06/2009 10:26

sounds nice foxy.

grumpy (and maybe a bit lonely what with no brothers or daddy to harrass) Baggins today.

I am in a strangely good mood though

Rialentless · 29/06/2009 10:26

hope you get some drugs Jammy.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 29/06/2009 10:27

I can't gargle, makes me gag and vom. But thanks guys for the sympathy. Natty (and Fury), I hope things cool down a little for you guys.

Ohforfoxsake · 29/06/2009 10:39

What about one of those (revolting) throat sprays? Might numb the pain. DS had a sort throat recently, which wasn't tonsillitus, but he had huge blisters in the back of his throat. Really nasty, you have my sympathies.

HellHathNoFury · 29/06/2009 10:42

I have been on the phone to HR

useless feckers are breaking the law

feckers

I'll get 'em

Ohforfoxsake · 29/06/2009 10:43

what? how?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 29/06/2009 10:58

what's happening Fury?

I'll pick something up at the pharmacy when I go to the doctor's surgery. (If the useless pharacist will let me have anything that is!) Have felt too ill to go there yet knowing I have to go round later anyway.

Rialentless · 29/06/2009 11:08

what's up fury?

am sat with baggins hoping he'll go to sleep. am not getting on with the post-camping tidying quite how I'd hoped. have to endure the school begging fest summer fayre later too.

HellHathNoFury · 29/06/2009 11:13

well, it's a bit complex... but as far as I can make out:

If you have an EDD after october 2008, your employer legally has to continue paying childcare vouchers when you are on SMP.

YOU pay it while you are getting normal mat pay, but when you go on to SMP only, the new law says that employers should continue to pay for them on your behalf, so esentially it's a freebie worth £750 ish.

My company have told me they won't pay, that they will cease the vouchers during SMP.

I have told them they can't do this and it's breaking the law.

Fury is on the case.

LackaDAISYcal · 29/06/2009 11:46

fury, some of the women on my AN thread had issues with this and there are a few threads on it on here if you do a search. I think Norty may have had similar issues!

feckers....tell them you'll talk to Nicky Campbell

ouch for your throat jammy. Hope you get some medicine for it.

I'd like to sell a whingy, tired DD today. She was up half the night and hasn't stopped moaning all day...except at gym minis. she got her first jungle gymnastics badge and has taken it to bed with her as she won't let it go....bless

foxy, can you post the link again and I'll sponsor you

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 29/06/2009 11:50

Apparently NOT tonsolitis, just a very red viral throat and temperature. So ordered to have paracetamol and rest and go back if it gets worse or if not improving in 3 days. Mmm last time I was told that I gave birth 6 hours later . But I now have anaesthetic throat sweets, ice cream, and chocolate

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 29/06/2009 11:51
