HellHathNoFury · 27/05/2009 21:02

Holly, I shall name him Archibald.

I have been lurking on many a name thread and Grandad names are back IN.

So Archibald it is.
Or Barnaby.
Or something innocuous so he won't get picked on... like Quentin.

TheNatty · 27/05/2009 21:06

evening all!!

TheNatty · 27/05/2009 21:09

well its picked up here alot tonight, must be the footy driving the masses to MN :O

well ive been having contractions all fecking day, labour ward said as they are 45-60 mins apart not to worry as they are likey to be false labour, and to come in if they pick up pace or waters go.

ok well ill just sit about in labour however fecking FALSE it might be it HURTS!!!

this baby will be the death of me im telling you!

LittleMissNorty · 27/05/2009 21:13

Blimey I don't envy you Natty. Before I had DS I had 3 days of contractions 10 minutes apart and they fucking hurt! Think Daisy went through a similar thing.

LittleMissNorty · 27/05/2009 21:14

Archie is lovely!

Sputnik · 27/05/2009 21:15

I'm still here.
I had a boyfriend called Gilbert once.

LittleMissNorty · 27/05/2009 21:17
Grin
TheNatty · 27/05/2009 21:18

lmao at gilbert..

well i hope not norty.. 7 weeks left you know! [shit scared emoticon]

Sputnik · 27/05/2009 21:20

Ouch Natty! Hold on for a bit though.

I still remember Fury's marathon. Hope it goes for you next time.

Holly! I was thinking about you today. How's the site going?

LittleMissNorty · 27/05/2009 21:20

Hopefully painful BH....you can take paracetamol if that helps. Think you're in for a long 7 weeks!

TheNatty · 27/05/2009 21:23

oh dont! if they dont go by consultants appointment tuesday i can see myself insisting on a c-section at 37 weeks

went for a walk earlier thinking it would help but made it worse.. so looks like lots of rest, thank goodness DH is home this week

tell ur ur name fury.. we wont tell anyone

Ekka · 27/05/2009 21:25

Hi all, sorry I've not even been lurking - its been pretty manic here, 2 under 2 has been harder than I thought . And I can't see it suddenly getting better when dd turns 2! But it is fun (sometimes)

Daisy - how's Bumble? I think I saw you on a thread about lack of sleep? Is he sleeping better now?

Natty - just remember to take a couple of paracetamol, that will take the pain away . Seriously, I hope things either get moving or baby settles down again so you can get a break

Dd's birthday was 7th June if you'd like her for the stats. She's such a chatterbox now, though its a bit disconcerting when she repeats my despairing 'Oh my god...' about 50 times a day . Now to persuade dh that it really was a random person we met in the street who taught her that (and some other far worse things )

FrazzledFairyFay · 27/05/2009 21:27

Hello everyone

Natty, that sounds painful

LittleMissNorty · 27/05/2009 21:32

Right off to watch the apprentice on slip.....

hello Ekka, Fairy

2 under 2 is bloody hard work, I agree!

FrazzledFairyFay · 27/05/2009 21:34

2 under 2 is bloody har work, but I can honestly say that it is now getting SO much easier and I am really pleased that they are so close in age as they really entertain each other

TheNatty · 27/05/2009 21:36

yes 2 under 2 is hard work, but mine now 3 and 2 are fantastic together, they are such good friends

well i must have enjoyed part of it cos im gonna have THREE 3 and under...

LittleMissNorty · 27/05/2009 21:36

I'll hold onto that thought Fairy....a few people have said that to me. Hard work, but am (mostly) enjoying it

LackaDAISYcal · 27/05/2009 21:41

Done Ekka....good to hear from you

and bumble's sleeping......not really . Just when we think he is getting better, it all falls apart again. He woke at 11 last night and that was him until after 2. He is sitting fully unsupported today though without falling over, so obviously that was his wee brain going into overdrive about it last night.

Oh, DD and I dod a gym minis taster session today at the local sports centre. she absolutely loved it and went from being terrified to walking along a suspended ladder by herself and swinging from a bar then crashing onto a mat in the space of an hour. We have signed up for the rest of the term to see how she goes with it . DS1 was with us and he was having a go as well and now wants to do gymnastics. It might be very good for his confidence and self restraint.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 27/05/2009 21:43

Well I've mostly packed and have made a lost of what's still to pack in the morning. DH is working at home tomorrow (seeing as I'm nicking the car ) so he can play with Jamlet while I run round grabbing things.

Tummy feeling OK now. Not sure what happened. But I was in such pain on and off walking through Hyde Park. I actually wondered for a minute if I was going to be one of those "I didn't even know I was pregnant until I gave birth" stories . And then it was unpleasant in the (disabled ) loo at Paddington but fine since. Had a little stir fry veg and noodles for tea and no ill effects.

Good to see more people "in" tonight. I also like talking to you all still.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 27/05/2009 21:44

Oooh that gym thing sounds great Daisy.

LackaDAISYcal · 27/05/2009 21:45

Natty......I only skim read and missed all that. Hang in there lovely. Hard though it is with littlies around try and take things eassy; my BH used to go ballistic if I overdid things, and DRINK DRINK DRINK; at least 3 litres a day. As they told me at the hospital when I was in false labour with DD; "A thirsty uterus is a painful uterus". I'll take that snippet to my grave; it's etched on my brain forever

two under two hard? nah, piece of piss

Hi sputnik! Website is a bit stale atm, not really had time to do anything to it. I've discovered a new market on ebay and am starting to exploit it. So hopefully there is some money to be made there! How are you?

Hi ekka, fairy and natty too x

I love talking to everyone again, it's been too long!

Sputnik · 27/05/2009 21:53

You're not selling old shoes to perverts are you Holly?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/05/2009 21:53

No, not shoes !!

LackaDAISYcal · 27/05/2009 21:54

jammy, it isn't gallbladder is it? I hope you're OK for your trip. Remind me where you are going

Another thought is that before I was diagnosed with coeliac disease I used to have explosive diahorrea that would come on very suddenly like that. Might be worth asking your GP for the blood test.

I like the idea of a temporary lull holly, and fully agree with the fact that they need more supervision. DD had gone quiet today and when I went to investigate she had got the lid of a squeezy bottle of paint and was trying to pick the foil seal off. how the hell she got it I have no idea as it was too high for her to reach.....

It feels like old times here again this evening....tis fab
