not long left at work now Fury, then you can relax

HellHathNoFury · 25/06/2009 11:36

YES!
BRING IT ON!

I plan to blitz the house, I love nothing more than a spring clean!
I have a couple of bits to put on Ebay...

I might even get a load of photos printed out and put in albums, it will be along time before I get any more 'me' time.

And lots of lunches with friends!
wooohooooooooooo

I CANNOT WAIT

LittleMissNorty · 25/06/2009 11:44

Its in weather like this, when both my two are asleep in bed for their 2 hour naps that I'm glad I took 11 months off work even if I'm broke

Between 5.30 and 6.45pm, I'm not so sure....

HellHathNoFury · 25/06/2009 13:58

Sputnik I just saw your pics of FB

your DS is HUGE, but you'r DC's are very cute

Sputnik · 25/06/2009 14:40

I think we just make big children, he is size of a 3 year old and DD is the size of a 6 year old (she's nearly 5).

They are exceptionally cute though aren't they

TheNatty · 25/06/2009 19:23

i am grumpy too today fury. grumpy pregnant woman syndrome, its catching!

that and the fact both my kids are sick had me up all night and im shattered.

i have bumped up things on ebay before, me and DH used to have diff accounts registered at diff addresses.

we got caught for using the same ip address
whoops!!

how is everyone this fine evening? take it things are slow due to the lovely day its been.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/06/2009 21:36

Fine here thanks Natty. Another mixed day potty-wise: 3 wee accidents, 2 wees and a poo in the potty. But she was much nicer to be with today My Dad arrived this afternoon, staying for a few days so that's nice, and I've just been for a haircut this evening.

Rialentless · 25/06/2009 21:46

hi natty. Do I have to be PG to be grumpy or can I just join in?

Actually not grumpy, just shattered. Absolutely drained of energy[sa]d. Not sure what's going on as AFwas last week, unless I'm having another 6 week session of 1 week on 1 week off

Got the school photo today

Just watching The Mentalist with DH, who is home early and has apparently finally been paid, it just hasn't cleared yet... and he has an interview in the morning.

Am a bit pissed off because I went to work today, and I think DS2 got told off because his friend was messing about, so I asked him about it (in a jokey way) and he cried, which is unusual, so I told the TA I had made him cry and I was worried he was feeling poorly again. I got firmly put in my place and told it was my fault because I weas rota-ed on for his class today and that isn't a good idea abnd he isn't poorly. I work where I am told, I get no choice who I'm covering for FGS. Oh, and I couldn't get im to sleep cos he felt sick

baggins has walked to school and back today, and then to the shop and back tonight. Hope he doesn't wake up in the night with sore legs.

LackaDAISYcal · 25/06/2009 22:37

My default state these days in grumpy . Natty, how long now? Remind me of your due date...and fury as well.

Ria, baggins will be fine I'm sure; he looks like a big strong boy.

Is DS2 ok Ria? mine always have phantom tummy ache when there is something bothering them.

Yay on being paid and fingers crossed for the job interview tomorrow.

Oh, and all your boys look like angels!!! baggins is appropriately named

loaded some photos of bumble tackling linguine with tomatoes, garlic and asparagus for tea. Was very funny as he couldn't get the linguine to stay in his mouth and ended up really annoyed.

I've had nearly a bottle of red wine tongith and feel rather pissed. After four glasses I realised I hadn't eaten any tea...ah well that explains the pissedness

OP posts:
Rialentless · 25/06/2009 23:04

yay daisy pissed is good (if we don't go camping tomorrow I intend to have a nice bottle of white)

DS2 has class assembly tomorrow, and just worried re tonsils. It is not like him to cry at all, so I think he still doesn't feel 100%, but I suppose that doesn't look good on the attendance

TheNatty · 25/06/2009 23:17

three weeks daisy. due 16th, 37 weeks today

im off to bed now nighty night x

HellHathNoFury · 26/06/2009 09:49

what's up, doc?

I am thinking about getting a cleaner.
But I don't want a shit one.

Rialentless · 26/06/2009 11:17

Arse. It's raining. Nice-ish forecast for Sunday, but more drizzle for tomorrow. Now it's probably off I really want to go!

Just been to watch DS2 in his assembly (and forgot my camera). He was a lovely purple octopus. But now I am really

Had a horrible nightmare too

LittleMissNorty · 26/06/2009 11:33

Aw Ria....what a PITA. Glad assembly went OK.

I'm sitting here wondering whether or not to do my planned bootfair on Sunday as its going to be 28 degrees here - too hot for me! It is so muggy here - I wish the thunderstorms will make their way over here!

Blimey Natty....that 37 weeks went really quickly. Does that mean you get your HB now?

Daisy, your BLW pics are just lovely! Although I have to say I'm dreading weaning E....just so much faffing about! Little sod got me up at 5.15am this morning. I'm knackered and they are both in bed asleep

Rialentless · 26/06/2009 12:24

DH thinks we should still go

LackaDAISYcal · 26/06/2009 15:58

norty, bumble has been getting mainly scraps with the odd jar thrown in for good measure. No time for faffing with purees and all that nonsense with No3!! Luckily he likes his food and will eat anything that comes close to his mouth.

This is the first of me sitting down today for any length of time...I'm knackered.

I can't believe you've only three weeks left natty...could be any time now; how exciting

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 26/06/2009 16:31

Sounds like a good way to do it Daisy ....gonna wait as long as I can....growth spurt appears to be over....despite an early call earlier today....but last bottle is still hungry formula just in case . He's 21 weeks Monday which was how old DD was when I weaned her as I went back to work when she was 26 weeks, but can do it at my (and his) leisure this time.

Any ideas on how to get DD to stop ating the bloody sand? Explaining nicely, telling her off, yelling all to no effect....another handful goes in and she crunches away ....can't be any good for her teeth. We had to come indoors in the end as she wouldn't bloody stop!

LittleMissNorty · 26/06/2009 16:33

eating I meant. Thank god I'm going for an eye test tomorrow

LackaDAISYcal · 26/06/2009 19:24

just wait till it comes out the other end norty...ouch!!

Stop telling her off and the novelty of it might wear off? I remember DS1 eating sand all the time at nursery, but it passed. I'm glad, as it's one of the biggest factors in the spread of threadworms apparently

OP posts:
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/06/2009 20:33

eughhh to threadworms!

Poor day here potty wise. no successful "sits" and 3 wee and 1 poo accidents, plus a soaking nappy while we were out for a brief spell this morning (to stop me getting total cabin fever ). I think we might just keep on with the nappies and try again in a while, especially as we have 2 long car journeys (well 4 really as we have to get back from each of them) in July.

My Dad is having a good time visiting though, and despite going for a 40 mile cycle ride with his mate today (their average age is 78 ) he has enjoyed watching jamlet at Rhyme Time at the library and playing with her this evening and helping with her bath

I'm at work (probably) tomorrow afternoon

LackaDAISYcal · 26/06/2009 21:16

sounds like she isn't quite ready jammy. DD definately isn't ready and although it would be good to have her trained, I'm not going to force it.

DH took DS1 to the docs about his nighttime wetting this morning, and we were hoping for a referral to the urology dept but he seemed reluctant to do that . We've to get a urine sample to rule out any underlying infection and he said he would talk to his colleagues to see what the best option is (he is a pretty junior doc that they saw). DH explained that we were giving him lots to drink in the day to try and increase his bladder capacity (as my sis was advised by the urologist who saw DN) and he said it wasn't conclusive that that actually helped . I think I'd trust the consultant urologist rather than a GP, no? anyhoo, I was hoping for some answers I suppse and we are still in the situation of him being soaking wet every night....which I'm sure is contributing to his general mood.

On the upside though he was moved up a group in numeracy (what happened to good old maths?) and it has fired him up to get moved up in other subjects. And we have had a pretty good week all told.

DD is on good form as well. She is so much fun to be around at the minute and loves singing. Since her birthday, whoever is most in favour with her on any particular day gets Happy Birthday sung to them AAAAAALLLLLL day . Soooo cute.

and bumble nearly has a tooth. I reckon it'll be out before the weekend is up!

OP posts:
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/06/2009 21:29

Yeah, I think I'm going to leave it be for a while. I hadn't planned on doing it quite yet until she seemed keen, so it can wait. Like I said we have long car journeys ahead of us - in 2 weeks time we are going to St Andrews for a wedding, so that'll be Oxfordshire to West Cumbria on the Friday, on to St Andrews Sat morning, staying overnight after the wedding, back to West Cumbria on Sunday and back home on the Monday! 4 days each with 4-6 hours in the car . Don't even want to think about adding potty stops onto that!

Hope DS1 gets sorted. Mum says that my big sis had night wetting problems and that it was linked to her being a really deep sleeper. They ended up getting some alarm thing that went under the sheet that triggered at the first sign of moisture, so she got woken and after a few weeks her brain learnt to rouse itslef and her from sleep when she needed the loo.

TheNatty · 27/06/2009 15:30

ellen has regressed terribly this week, think the appearance of alot of cribs/travel cots from M&B has unsettled her somewhat!
she is back in nappies full time, (at her request) she is being put in the sling or carrier most of the time as she will not be put down, and she keeps saying "gagaga me baby now"

kids are so funny!
i dont mind she was growing up way to fast for me, and enjoying it as it will be the last summer of pretty nappies and dresses

i have been lurking far too much and not been posting much at all, must make more of an effort!

hope DS bedwetting problems are sorted soon daisy i can see how that owuldnt be helping his overall mood

got my homebirth norty got midwife coming over thursday to drop of the homepack thingy, but have been told that as of thursday just gone i can just call the labour ward and they will send someone out to me

HellHathNoFury · 27/06/2009 17:10

Right then

Life is in the process of being sorted.

DH is upstairs hoovering and half the pictures I wanted on the walls are now up.

The house is now almost clean. Only the bathroom remains. I have even washed the dog bedding.

Been to Ikea to buy Duplo containers.

I have a new job as a website editor, for a few hours a week for a local parenting group. It's more for the fun and networking opportunities than anything else.

I have recruited a cleaner for 3 hours a week.

Quinoa stuffed peppers are in the oven, steak is marinading.

Ohforfoxsake · 27/06/2009 18:17

Ooh, lets have some competitive housekeeping

Am so pleased you got a cleaner. If s/he's any good you won't look back. If s/he's shit and nicks your stuff DH won't let you have one again.

Did you decide against a barbeque today then?
