The few times I have used pull-ups, they don't keep poo in place and I've had more than just a bum to clean . The novelty has worn off the potty here so I'm not worrying myself about it. New bed and no highchair is enough atm. Potty and no dummy at night next!

Had a lovely afternoon sitting in a friends garden eating lunch whilst the littlies played in the pool.

BBQ for dinner I think

LackaDAISYcal · 23/06/2009 16:50

Ria will be wetting herself fury; she has a big thing for Jeremy whatsisface I believe

It is soooooo hot and muggy here. Not pleasant when pushing a double buggy uphill.

LittleMissNorty · 23/06/2009 17:02

James MAy is pretty tasty as well

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/06/2009 18:13

I like James. Can't stand Jeremy though.

HellHathNoFury · 23/06/2009 19:11

My child is not normal

1 banana
1 fig roll
1 bowl of cereal
2 slices toast
chicken curry - 2 serves
fruit mousse
1 sandwich
ice cream
1/2 broccoli crown
pork stroganoff and rice
1 yum yum
2 yoghurts

James May was wearing his usual dodgy attire but was very friendly and pointed at my bump.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/06/2009 19:18

Now jamlet is 2 it seems that we don't get a written daily report on her activities at nursery It's not that we need one but it was nice to read. I guess if it gives the staff more time to do things with the children though rather than write about them, that's good.

Today she had

milk
half a french breakfast biscuit
a quarter slice toast and jam
fruit
turkey a la king
more fruit
something (I forget what they said) and a cookie
a banana
a mini babybel
milk

And yesterday and today I stopped taking the pushchair to nursery to get her from nursery to the bus stop. Both days she walked a quarter of the way and then sat down and cried So i carried her. But it was still better than trying to get on a crowded bus with the pushchair. And she waved at the bus as we waited at the stop tonight and the bus driver said she was very cute

Rialentless · 23/06/2009 19:54

fury

daisy, you know me too well.

If James May had been The Stig I would have run away and camped on his doorstep

back later, been a long day, and it was bloody hot west of the border.

Rialentless · 23/06/2009 19:55

just need to share this with you

LackaDAISYcal · 23/06/2009 20:01

blardy hell fury, that's more than I eat in a day!!

how did it go Ria?

I have just got bumble to bed, he has been giggling his head off for the last hour rather than having a feed and going to sleep. Dd on the other hand has been asleep since before 7; she didn't have a nap today and was completely exhausted and falling over her feet.

I have just hauled all my nappies out, ready to photograph them and get them listed and......camera battery dead. Ah well the best laid plans.............best have some gin

HellHathNoFury · 23/06/2009 20:14

Aw Ria I thought it was you!

I have a photo of the back of his head if that helps? Seemed rude to point the camera at his face, so I got his hair as I walked off after

Daisy, yes, my boy can eat his bodyweight in a day.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 23/06/2009 21:10

Hi everyone!

We have had a lovely day. We bought ds a Thomas trike and he loves it! We went to the park and had a picnic and then to the shop for ice creams and home for birthday cake. Good fun had by all!

Bloody hell fury! That is a lot of food! Ds has had half a banana and one weetabix for brekkie, half a cereal bar for a snack, 2 mouthfuls of pasta and half a punnet of raspberries for lunch and 2 cherry tomatoes and a small slice of birthday cake for dinner (he wouldn't eat his beanburger, but as it is his birthday I let him have some cake!). I honestly don't know how he survives. His is very lean, but is constantly on the go. He cannot physically walk. He runs or jumps everywhere, his legs are like springs!

about that dog daisy. As I always say there is no such thing as a bad dog, only bad owners. You wouldn't let your child go up to a random stranger and bite them or shit on the pavement, so don't let your fucking dogs do it! I would have gone mental!

I have just made £134 on dd's clothes on ebay with 11 items still to sell and I've not even made a dent in the stuff in the loft! If I do this 10 more times we will have enough for a car! Result!

Sputnik · 23/06/2009 21:22

Happy birthday to your DS Holly! Glad you had a good day
Good about the ebaying, I have finally got around to listing some stuff, I have a bidder already, I am very excited!
I have already given loads away though, so not too much to sell in the end.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 23/06/2009 21:30

Hi Sputnik! I am v surprised by the amount some of the things have gone for. The Monsoon dresses mainly and the Mini Boden t-shirts. All bought 2nd hand from car boot sales or charidee shops! Hardly any of my dcs clothes are from actual shops! I now have to pack up all this bloody stuff and not get confused in the process and send the wrong stuff to the wrong people!

I might treat myself to some new books now!

Does your ds still bf? How many feeds a day is he having? I am trying to cut it down to early morning, nap time and bedtime, but not v successfully!

Woohoo...£153.71 altogether! Not bad for an evening's work!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/06/2009 21:33

Glad DS had a good birthday Holly, and well done with the ebaying.

Sputnik · 23/06/2009 21:48

I have a really nice monsoon dress to put up, so that's good news.
We are still bf but recently managed to cut down. I started to refuse to feed at night and in the morning too, as he'd just wake up at 5. He got cross the first few times but was ok after that.
And now he only feeds at nap time if we're at home and I can't avoid it IYSWIM, so as a fixed thing we're just on bedtime feeds now. I think we'll carry on like that for a bit as it doesn't bother me at all.

Sputnik · 23/06/2009 21:51

I am having problems with the turbo lister. Is it me or is it crap?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 23/06/2009 21:51

I've been trying to get rid of the night ones over the past few nights, he does moan a bit, but goes back to sleep in the end. The thing he needs to learn is that it is not ok to come up to me whenever he feels like it and help himself. I'd be really happy to carry on with just bedtime feeds, I think that is my eventual aim, it might take a while though!!

Hi Jammy!

Sputnik · 23/06/2009 21:54

Actually it's me that's crap, as you were.
The night one was tough to crack, it took a couple of weeks before he gave up on it, so keep going.
Once we cracked that saying no at other times got easier.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 23/06/2009 21:55

Yeah, Turbo Lister is fucking shit, it won't work with a Mac so I have to list everything through ebay. Takes ages.

Sputnik · 23/06/2009 21:57

!!!!!!!
(well, if you will insist on being a Mac user )

LackaDAISYcal · 23/06/2009 21:58

Wow, good on you two for still BFing . I had a bit of a despondent phase there with bumble, but it seems to have passed. I think because he is sleeping a bit better at night.

I need to get all my stuff listed on ebay. We reckon we have about two grands worth of stuff just lying around waiting to be sold, but some of that is DH's cameras, as well as about £300 of nappies (and that's 2nd hand prices ). Either way it's our holiday or new bathroom paid for!

OP posts:
HollyPutTheKettleOn · 23/06/2009 21:59

Sorry, but Macs are my favourite and my best!

I think the hardest thing to crack is going to be not feeding him to sleep. Not sure how to do that one.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/06/2009 22:01

hi Holly, Sputnik.

Bedtime feed was nice. I still miss that sometimes, even though it's nearly a year since she stopped it. We cut down to early morning and bedtime at about 13 months, but found that she quickly stopped those herself. They're all different though, of course.

Am going to try her in pants (or maybe even bare-bottomed) tomorrow and see how she is at asking for the potty . So not going out and hoping for a nice day so we can play in the garden. Wish me luck!

Sputnik · 23/06/2009 22:06

Bloody hell Daisy!
Giving up bf with my DD was tough, she went wild the first night I didn't bf her to sleep. ALready the second night it was easier. DS will hopefully be easier as he often just rolls over and goes to sleep on his own anyway.

If that is the last feed left it's tough for you too though as it's sort of hard bringing that stage to an end (well for me that enjoys bf it was).

LittleMissNorty · 23/06/2009 22:09

Good luck Jammy. My DD lasts about 5 minutes before she forgets and has a wee on the carpet. Or does a wee and then asks for the potty

Ria - how did DH get on today?

My DS has got a bit of a cold and went upstairs just now cos he was coughing, and he projectile puked in his sleep across me, the cot and the floor....and stayed asleep. All the coughing i think

I use turbo-lister. Much easier but it doesn't put a visitor counter on the auction, you have to do those individually....right PITA
