Hello,

How are you all? Sorry I've been AWOL. I'm on here so sporadically I find it hard to catch up, and my memory is so atrocious I can't keep what everyone has been doing in my head.

We've all had D&V here which has been fun. Just took DD to the park for half an hour and it has really taken it out of me.

Hope everyone is having a fab birthday month. DD's is Saturday. We were going to have a tea party but after the lurgey we've all had we thought it was best to cancel, plus the flat is a shitehole.

I've made this for DD's birthday. She is very funny at the moment. Her main response to everything is 'yeah' like a frigging teenager.

Sputnik · 18/06/2009 15:15

Hiya Bumper, that teepee is lovely, well done!
How's yer veg coming along then?

Bumperlicioso · 18/06/2009 16:12

Hi sputnik, thanks! The veg is ok I think. Just put a load of seedlings in so we are waiting to see how they take.

LackaDAISYcal · 18/06/2009 16:21

Wow bumper......very impressive

and hello me old mucker ; I was wondering about you the other day and was about to send a text. Now it'll be an order for a teepee not wigwam

I've also just been cheeky to you on the Daisy Godwin webchat thread

Oh, and another DD does, when she has gone AWOL and is being very quiet, qhen I call on here she forstly ignores me, then if I call again this wee voice comes back "Nooooo", which generally means she is up to no good....

...talking of which she has gone quiet again.

LackaDAISYcal · 18/06/2009 16:26

gawd that spelling was atrocious

She had got the stool from the bathroom and was in amongst my make-up.

had another cleaning day here, built the cot and emptied out the chest of drawers that had to go from the kids room in order to fit it in (clothes in drawers under bed now )
watered veg, hung out washing, cleared up my room.

bloody hell..

this nesting malarky is killing me.

i have put up the travel cot for the baby in my room, its one of those tiny ones thats for up to six months (ob cannot divulge name as testing it) it fits in nicely next to the bed and is taller (and hopefully toddler proof) then a moses basket so im dead pleased.

went through the babies clothes.. most of it is for 5lb. whoops!
luckly have a pack of white 10lb ones!
most have the tags on but no receipt do you think they will exchange?

LittleMissNorty · 18/06/2009 19:53

Depends on what shop Natty - should do.

Rialentless · 18/06/2009 21:43

usually exchange or credit note, no refund without receipt.

lovely teepee bumper (I knew wigwams were different. I watch QI)

why won't my fecking children sleep?

Rialentless · 18/06/2009 22:26

so, have spent the afternoon cleaning the boys room, and took down the cot (had to empty the clean laundry out of it first) and put up baggins bed. He is asleep on the sofa

Am knackered, and have shedloads of laundry and stuff to move off my bed before I can go to sleep (also hoping DH doesn't get carried away by the idea of being in the same bed for the first time in months)

Had planned a picnic tomorrow to make up for the lack of party, but Dsis wasn't interested (prior appoitnment - fair enough - but she could have joined us by 6pm). And as no party I will just make a round chocolate cake - am disappointed as had visions of a nice "Ragdoll" cake. Hopefully if the weather is good and DS2 is up to it, we are having a picnic at the forestry on Sunday with my parents. The Rosie and Jim website is fab, you type in your DC name and they say "hello baggins". It couldn't manage DS2s name though!

LittleMissNorty · 19/06/2009 08:12

Happy birthday to Baggins . Sure you'll have a lvoely day.

LittleMissNorty · 19/06/2009 08:12

Oh dear.....spelling Can't find my glasses this morning

TheNatty · 19/06/2009 09:48

happy birthday baggins
sainsburys again today woo!

Rialentless · 19/06/2009 12:32

thank you!
Baggins is having a lovely day, can't quite work out al the presents. His favourite is the golf set from the GPs and the wheelbarrow from his auntie. Oh, and the folding picnic chair from us.
MILs card has just arrive with some cash. It is pink and flowery, but at least she has remembered.

I am depressed beyond belief today, and as anxious as hell and DH didn't get paid again, so that's 3 weeks owing again now.

Rialentless · 19/06/2009 12:47

anyone know how strict Tesco are on imposing the 2hour free parking fine?

Sputnik · 19/06/2009 14:02

Happy birthday Baggins! Glad he is having a good day, and sorry you are having a bad one Ria. I'm sure you could do without having to worry about money too. Hope your day improves.

LackaDAISYcal · 19/06/2009 14:58

Just a quick birthday Hello to Baggins and I hope he's having a lovely time.

baggins is just having a little snooze.

DH has been upstairs asleep since about 12.30. Wonder if I should go and check if he's still breathing?

I remember feeling like that Natty.....and my sleep really improved when DS came along.

Happy Birthday to Bumpers DD

LittleMissNorty · 20/06/2009 17:31

Blimey - quiet today.....all been on FB

Went to the cemetery today to "see" my dad....took my father's day card and some "dad" sprinkles . Got a photo frame from the DCs for DH tomorrow but the prints haven't turned up from Snapfish. Spent an hour this morning trying to find the safe place I had hidden the pressie and card!

Been to nursery today for their summer fete and had to drag a screaming child away as she was loving it....she even sat still to have her face painted! And I came home with a carrier bag of crap we'd bought / won .

Happy birthday to DS Fury for tomorrow if I don't get on
